These are not running shoes. The soles lack flexibility though ironically they are called Flex Run. After running a dozen miles the soles are showing heavy wear especially at the ball of the foot. I would easily say these particular shoes are better suited for training.

Comfortable for training, not for running. It feels heavy and clunky. Ultimately lacking the flexibility one would expect when the shoe itself is called Nike Flex 2014 Run. A bit disappointing as I was in the market for running shoes. I wear a size 8 and made sure to go up half a size (8.5) as Nike does run on the narrow in show width.

I had one major problem running in these shoes. They made my ankle very uncomfortable. They do not have a lot of padding in the upper, so they cut into my ankle if tied tight. I ran in them a few times, but the pain did not go away, so I gave up. I like the look of the shoes, so I will still wear them, just not for running.
