I bought some of these socks about a year ago and I love them. I wanted more, so I bought these. Nike must have changed the design because the fit is not the same. The toe box is supposed to be tapered - the socks are labeled R and L because the tapering is custom to your right and left foot. The toe box on my year-old pairs is very tapered for a perfect fit with no extra fabric to bunch up inside your tennis or running shoes. These socks have lots of extra fabric around the toes. Not worth the money if they aren't made like they are supposed to be! Sadly I bought two packs and opened one of them...I saw the boxy toe and thought they needed washing to shrink into shape. It didn't work and now I can't return them - I'm out the money for that mistake.

I bought these socks because I already had some that I bought about a year ago that I totally love. I was excited to have more of them, but these are different. The toe is not tapered, or is hardly tapered at all. I thought the R and L concept was mainly because of the tapered toe. These socks have an almost straight/square toe area. I don't like the extra fabric at the toe (or anywhere) in an athletic sock because I want them to fit into my running shoes without any bunching. Sorry to say these are not like my old pairs and I am sending them back. I sure hope returns on socks are ok.

I've been wearing this brand and style for several years now. The most recent version is thicker than what I've been used to, but this is good. I get good cushioning on the balls of my feet. These also stay where they are supposed to and don't roll down. It does a well enough job with wicking away the sweat too.

These socks are great, only socks I wear outside of dress socks. Not sure why they are getting bad reviews. I have been wearing them for several years now, love the fact that their not cotton. I haven't gone back to cotton socks after wearing these. I don't have ANY holes in my socks, even those I'm sure I've had for a year (half are the older design). For the slipping of the sock I wear a size 15, the max for this sock so that may be why, but give them a try.

These socks were very disappointing. They are nothing like the Nike Dri-fit socks I bought a few years ago. These are very soft and unstructured, so they tend to slip down into your shoe as you walk. There is very little cushioning, and there are large cotton "pills" on the heels (where the sock rubs against your shoe) after just one wearing. Feels like they might last a month or two at the most. Zappos was great about returning them for a refund.
