The foot bed is not too big. The straps of this shoe were too large. They did not hug my foot like my last pair did. It was like the straps were someone with a foot twice as tall as mine. I couldn’t keep them on my feet. I’ve had several pairs of these sandals and I’m shocked and disappointed with this fit of this pair.

Who designed these shoes? I put them on and couldn't take more than two steps with them before I took them off, put them back in the box and started a return. My husband said he's never heard my tape gun come out so soon after receiving a package! The footbed is very uncomfortable with an arch support hitting in an awkward spot and the uppers are too flimsy to keep the shoe on properly.

After all the love that Vionic's gets for being a great shoe, I wanted to try for myself. The arch support is so pronounced and firm on this shoe that it is uncomfortable. Maybe I expected too much; maybe they are an acquired taste. Either way, these don't work for me.

I have had 5 pairs of these in a Women's size over the years. They were great sandals and I have recommended them to many people! I recently ordered a new pair but they are now only available in the unisex sizes. The straps are too loose! Why did you change them? They were so good for my heel spurs! You really messed up Vionic !

This was my 5th and last Vionic sandal. The straps are made of some fabric and stretched out after a short time so that the sandals will not stay on my feet, leading sometimes to tripping.

The arch is too high for me in these shoes and had to return them. Nice looking shoe.

I am a huge vionic sandal lover!! They are the only sandal I wear...literally. I always wear a size 8 in vionic sandals. Ordered this pair and just started wearing them because the weather In our area just started getting warm. Well that was a huge mistake bc they are very large on me and straps have stretched after 1 use so much that they are unwearable and fall off my feet at every step. I am so upset by this purchase.

the most uncomfortable shoe ever ! So disappointed :( I really wanted my Vionics order to work out. I need shoes really bad and was told the Vionics were oh so comfortable..... they are not, the entire foot bed is hard as cement. Although the traction is good, the comfort is not. The arch was way too high for anyone, and I'm a dancer and runner. The only great news here is ZAPPOS is the MOST amazing company ever.

I wear women's 9W. Thought I'd try the "unisex" flip flop for the width, but it didn't work because the straps are so large I could fit my hand AND my foot inside them. (I'm thin, I just have a wide toe.) Also, I have flat feet and ordinarily wear arch supports. This arch support was just barely high enough. Returned. It's back to Birkenstocks for me. As always, however, a big thank you to Zappos for making shoe shopping for troublesome feet so much easier!
I'd also recommend:

I bought two pairs of the same Wave Toe Sandal-one black/one Khaki. I have had a similar Vionic flip flop for years. I have a medium foot with a good high arch. The top strap doesn't touch the top of my foot anywhere. And it's not my foot bc its the left on the khaki pair and the right on the black pair. I measured the two straps on all of the shoes and they are inconsistent in length. I don't understand why an orthopedically made shoe has to come in one size for men and women cannot be made slimmer for women but still is so pricey.

Did not like the color. The shoe was way to wide and would not stay on my foot. I have the black flip flop with the sparkles and love them.

I used to live barefoot in the summer or in flip flops if shoes were required but plantar fasciitis has put an end to that. I have four other pair of Vionics and had high hopes that these shoes might get me back into my summer groove. The footbed fit length and width but there was so much space between the sides of my foot and the straps that every step was disjointed. I had to curl my toes as I stepped in an effort to keep them in place. This was especially problematic given the firm arch support. When positioned it was great but as my feet slipped left and right the arch kept hitting me in all the wrong places and ended up causing more pain than I've had in a long time.

This sandal was recommended to me by my (amazing!) podiatrist is Seattle. I have suffered from plantar fasciitis twice in the last 15 years or so. They feel great around the house. I, in fact, bought size 7's tho I typically wear size 9 shoes. Just felt like the right size.

I used to live barefoot or in flip flops in the summer but an intractable case of plantar fasciitis has forced me to change my ways. I have four other pairs of Vionics but these just don't work at all. There is so much space for the foot to move from side to side that with any given step the arch support spent very little time positioned where it should have been. And I had to walk around with my toes curled trying to hang on to the shoe. These ended up causing significant pain which hasn't subsided days later. The footbed itself was the right size and very comparable in length and width to other flip flops I have but the straps connect to the outside leaving a tremendous amount of room between the strap and the side of my foot (enough for two fingers to fit). I was really hoping I would be able to get back to easy summer shoes but now I don't think it will ever happen.

I don’t know what Vionics has done to a previously great brand (Othaheel) and products or if they listen to feedback. Quality has gone down. For this shoe, the toe/thong strap is longer than normal which causes the flip flop to “hang” from your toes and the front drags/gets caught when you walk which is trip hazard. Returning.

Straps were too loose. I thought it may be just a defective pair, but my second pair was the same.

The original Tide was the perfect shoe. The Tide II and the Wave have very narrow straps. I can barely slide my foot under the straps. I have a high instep. I have had the Tide II for over a year, and I still can't wear them for more than 10 minutes. The top strap cuts into my foot and rubs it raw. The Wave is exactly the same, but I am returning them. Unisex sizes don't work either. I am trying a men's Tide next in hopes it has more room in the strap. The last great fitting Vionic was the Kinetic in 2011. Vionic changed the shoes when the company changed from Orthaheel. I called Zappos to see if they could actually measure the shoe. They just kept repeating the size and width. They put me on hold, then disconnected after 10 minutes. If the men's Tide does not work, I will no longer buy Vionics.

This is a man's shoe. New "unisex" sizing means the straps on the women shoe are very loose - dangerously loose -- which dilutes the arch support benefit for which I pay premium dollars. I have several of these shoes made by OrthaHeel. They are fantastic. Vionic's compromise of the differing needs of women's feet v. men's means this shoe goes back. Very disappointing.

Do not buy if you have a Narrow or "low volume" foot. It will not fit. There will be a significant gap between the top of your foot and the straps that even molefoam padding will not fill up. I own the Vionic Tide flip flop and while disappointed that they were also wide, they are a slightly tighter fit and the molefoam padding mostly works. But it's a total pain to have to fit the padding and re-do it as it wears down over time, especially when paying this much for a flip flop. If you like Vionics and need a Narrow width, join me in begging them to add Narrows to some of their styles. If you have Plantar fascitis, you probably know Vionics are one of the few sandals that provide almost immediate relief for the horrific heel pain that feels like someone driving a railroad spike into your heel.

I just received this flip flop...tried it on and it's big. I wear a 6, but should have ordered a women's 5, but there is no size 5 for this flip flop. I read on another site for this brand that the sizes run big. So I'm looking for another pair that have size 5. I'm giving this too large one away for a friend or relative that will fit it.

I already have a pair of these that are finally wearing out after about 3 years of pretty much nonstop use. This one I ordered is my size but the straps are far looser than the other pair I currently have; it's made for a much "taller" foot. Unisex sizing doesn't work for me, the straps are so loose it flops around on my foot, so I have to return it. I'm so disappointed because I just can't find these things anywhere else at this time of year.
