This great jacket is true to size. It can even fit a sweatshirt or light fleece underneath comfortably for damp days in the 40s. It does a good job of keeping the elements out. The navy is a dark, rich color — closer to black. My husband has worn it a great deal since he received it for Christmas. He loves it.

This is the 2nd Seven J I've purchased in 4 years. I gave my son the first one because, he wore it well. The styling is well done combined with wind/rain proof and price makes the purchase, for me, a no brainer. Helly Hansen makes a quality garment. I bought my first piece 25 years ago and it is still functional. The only "negative" associated with this last purchase, the weight of the jacket has been lightened up as compared to the 4 year old version I gave up. If this didn't happened, it would get a 5 star, all day.

I can't remember the last time I reviewed a product online. But I felt especially compelled to come back and give this jacket 5 stars. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. This jacket kept me warm, dry and comfortable for a week while hiking the Inca Trail and throughout the Peruvian Andes. Through hours of constant rain, I went without a poncho and stayed totally dry. I cannot recommend the Helly Hansen Seven J jacket enough.

Really good! I wore it to Ski as a shell jacket and it worked very well, waterproof and windproof. Better than I expected!

Outstanding product. The seams and zippers are top quality, I love the hood adjustment and visor to keep the water out of my eyes. I look forward to heavy use this coming year while bush hiking.

I am 6'2" and trim. I typically wear a large in all tops so I ordered a large in this jacket. Sleeves were too long and fit was baggy. Serviceable yes, but It felt like I could have fit this on top of my largest winter down jacket if I wanted - essentially it fit more like a ski jacket than lightweight rain jacket. I exchanged for a medium (pictured) which fits perfectly - arms are just right, bottom falls were I want it, and it no longer feels like I am swimming in fabric. Size medium will be way more comfortable for me while hiking/biking (which is why I purchased).

Played in monsoon rain and stayed dry. Quality product

I am really happy with this rain coat. I wear a raincoat a lot since I live in a rainy climate. I am a medium size woman but I bought a medium men's as I frequently wear a layer underneath and I don't like it to be snug. I would highly recommend it.

Nice jacket. The color has a nice pop without being too loud. Good moderate rain protection. My only gripe is I wish there were zipper pulls. The zippers can be troublesome to grab with gloves on.

Needed a new rain coat and decided to purchase this one. I like the way it fits and it does the job of keeping me dry.
