I had a pair of black Merrell mules that I wore so much that the soles wore off completely. I wanted the same shoe but this one is slightly different. A size 8 in the old shoe was very roomy, but this one was too small so I exchanged it for a size 8.5 They do stretch a bit with wear but these new shoes were more snug. They have very good support. I am a teacher and I stand all day and these shoes are great for work. The soles of the shoes are an interesting grippy plastic. They make a squish sound when I walk on tile, like I stepped in something sticky but they are very non-slip. Only time will tell how well they wear.

These shoes have a great grip. The soles are a little thicker than the Encore Novas I usually wear. They are also slightly more stylish than the Encores, if thats a phrase that can be applied to clogs. I said that the width is true to size. With my orthotics, they are just wide enough. I think they are going to replace the Encores in the future.

The size is correct, however I have a high instep, and the shoes lack an elastic gore on the side, making for a too snug fit. I need more forgiving shoes that are good for long flights when my feet can swell.

It seems like a good shoe; however, my heels didn't want to stay in the shoe when I walked. I'm returning these and ordering the Jungle Croc style.

I usually love Merrells, and I'm usually a solid 8.5 size. These clogs are way too big. Not sure it's worth ordering a size down, they just seem big everywhere, not just length. Returning! maybe another model will work.

Couldn't stand the squeaking when walking and I felt like they pinched my little toe when I bent my foot. Returning. Zappos is great though!

I was pretty disappointed in these shoes. Comfort level isn't fantastic, it's okay but not great, and the shoes themselves don't seem slip resistant at all. I'm constantly slipping. I expected better from Merrell.

I loved my last Merrells which were discontinued! This style is less comfortable when on feet for a 12 hour shift. They also squeak when walk, which is a problem on night shift!

Turned out to be just a more sticky-soled version of the Encore Nova. Shoes reminded you of their extra grippiness with every step as they squeaked when walking along tile flooring.

Just ok for me. The heel rubbed with each step, and the sole -- while *very* anti-slip -- was super squeaky! A no-go for me... returning.

I had worn these exact shoes for at least several years, just loved them! So comfortable! But when I order this replacement pair -- same size, model, even color -- I couldn't believe how uncomfortable they were. The problem is that they are much narrower than they were before. I had to wear them -- brought them to an event -- but pulled them off at every opportunity. Really punishingly narrow! Narrow, narrow! Everything else seems fine with this shoe.

I love Merrell shoes. These would have been perfect! I wore these for 5 days at the clinic. I had a scuff mark on the right shoe that I attempted to rub off with a damp cloth. The area actually peeled away. I'm not sure what coating they used on this particular shoe, but it peeled off! I thought they were leather...I am returning them! Terrible shoe!

I've worn so many pairs of Merrell's slide/mule and every pair has felt differently. The one pair that I can still wear and count on is the Jungle Primo and it has been discontinued! I bought them in 2004 and they're still wonderful. After calig Merrell for a suggestion as to what is close to the Jungle Promo the Encore Pro was suggested. Sadly it is too "industrial" and harsh on my feet. Felt a bit long, but not as much as a half size. I had to send them back as much as I wanted to keep them. I could not have worn them. So disappointed. I wish Merrell would remake the Jungle Primo. All the changes they have made since 2004 have prevented me from wearing their shoes. I've given away at least 20 pairs of perfectly good and barely worn Merrells. All versions of the slide/mule!

I wish that I could give these Merrell shoes five stars as I was looking for rugged slightly inclement weather shoes but regrettably, as I really do love most of my Merrells, these get a one. The sole of the shoe feels and sounds like hard plastic when you walk; the grip is hard plastic, not a softer rubber that I was expecting. As such with a little bit of slush underneath the shoe slips and I do not feel confident with the least amount of snow/ice under foot. One really annoying feature is the tread. The sides are cut deep and close together which allows for all sorts of dirt, sand, pine needles, ice/snow to lodge into the tread tracking it all over the house. You definitely have to kick these off at the door if you have gone off path.

Rock hard under the ball of my foot. The foot bed is not like that used for my old pair. I have always bought these for comfort, definitely not the look...so back they go!
