I've rarely had a item live up to the description but these pants are everything they say they are. So light weight and comfortable, you could forget you're wearing them and, if you're packing them, you'll never notice the weight or size. I did size up. I wear 32s in ferrosi but medium in these would be way too small. I was planning to get large regardless because I will wear them over clothes

Super light and packable - these always go in my pack for those iffy weather days and for extended through hikes where cutting ounces is critical. They work well and are pretty durable given their design and purpose.

All sizes are true to measurement, BUT I had a problem with how they fit in the thighs and seat. Order a size up if you have large thighs and butt.

Great rain pants. Super light and packable, these pants kept me completely dry for 7 days on my spring backcountry canoe trip. I only have good things to say about them. I abused them daily, bushwhacking from lake to lake, branches and trees poking at my legs constantly, not one tear, not even a scratch that I can see. I don`t mind at all that they doesn't have side pockets, to me that's just one more seam where water could get in. I wore the Helium II jacket along with the pants, highly recommend that one as well. Will definitely buy another pair if these ones ever fail me. (doubt it!)

Love the Helium pant. Great protection in a small, light package. Underfoot tabs are a nice addition.

I bought these to be used as my rain pants for a trail and restoration crew in AZ. Fortunately I didn't have to break them out this season while doing rock work because they would have gotten shredded, but I did get to sport them a good bit in town while it was raining/snowing and I was very happy with them. They look good, fit good, breathe, and most importantly keep my legs dry. They are hyper-lightweight and take up almost no space in a pack, and are great just to have on you all the time, just in case.

These are your ultralight rain pants for hiking trips. These pants are light enough to carry and not use but tuff enough to use in the rain when on a multi-day hike. I felt comfortable sitting and didn't feel like I was going to rip a hole in my pants while cooking a meal. Also, they're not baggy like most rain pants so there is less worry about snags. This was a happy purchase :)

Not going to lie, I thought this was going to be my weakest link in my kit. Just returned from 7 days on kodiak, island of beating these pants to death. They held up amazingly well considering how thin and light they are. All the alders and devils club didn't put a dent in them. Unfortunately, I broke a trekking pole on the way down and ended up driving the broken end into my leg and through these pants. Quick patch, and they're good to go.

I'm using these pants and the Helium II OR jacket to knock off New York's Adirondack's highest 46 peaks in the fall. It's wet, trails are really muddy and many of the peaks don't have a sanctioned trail, only a herd path. The herd paths requires one to walk thru close brush and small trees and the pants work great and are more durable than I thought they would be. Very happy with how light they are and how well they work.

Fantastic product. These live in my pack during all non-winter months, and in winter, live in my car for emergencies. Crazy light and small. I'm 6'5" 200# and the XLs work well. If you're looking for something to beat up or plan to wear really often, these may not be as durable as you'd like, but for Colorado weather patterns, they're perfect. I also have the Foray pants, which I use at work (Park Ranger) simply because they're more durable and I tend to beat up gear while at work. I highly recommend these though to anyone who wants ultra-light water/windproof pants.

I use the Helium set for a blow out bag in my work rig. They are ultra light, reliable, and pack down easily into a small pack. There is no excuse not to carry these pants (and top). The water proofing is equal to goretex, breathability is better then goretex, and so far they have taken several hard hits bushwacking through the woods and have held up fine.

Super light and super dry. Thankful I had this piece during the monsoon season in the Grand Canyon. It worked like a charm and the light weight makes you forget your packing it, just like the Helium Jacket.

A size large perfctly fit my size 33 waist. The little excess length didn't matter because it rode on my backpacking boots. Waist stayed in place, very nice. Easily got over my size 9 zamberlan vioz backpacking boots. To get on or off in under a minute, unzip the leg, lean against a tree or rock standing on the other leg, gather the pants leg in hands, pull over boot and leg, zip down. Switch legs and repeat.

Super light and super compact they are well built and will fit over pants. I have only had them over long underwear. Stopped rain, wind, snow even a nasty sand storm. they are breathable and durable enough for the money. there is a trade weight for strength, but for me it as just right
