These are fantastic sandals, comfortable as you would expect from Birkenstocks. However, I purchased the gold style and it is cracked and wearing off. Just when my shoes are comfortable and worn in, they straps look like second-rate shoes. I can't return or exchange them. These should last longer than a year/season. Truly disappointed. Stick with the regular colors, and you probably won't have this problem.

The foot beds are not comfortable for my feet. Also, the piece that goes between the toes is ribbon that chafes. Birkenstocks are not good-looking; if they aren't comfortable either, there is no reason for them.

I have a 6 year old pair of Papillios that I bought in Singapore. I love them and desperately wanted to update them. Not sure if I had forgotten, but the plastic between the toes is really painful, and needs to be broken in. I remember wearing band aids for awhile with my first pair, but don't think I will make it much farther with these.

It's still only Spring here so these have not yet had a full summer wearing and they have already begun to crack and come apart. Too bad because they are very cute and very comfortable. At this price point, however, they should withstand more than 2 months of light wear. Returning them and buying the real Birkenstock Gizeh.
