I bought this jacket two months ago, been bone dry ever since. Out hiking in thrashing rain and wind, and it's not leaked any water once, and I keeps the wind at bay. All whilst remaining breathable, and extremely light weight. Well, well worth the price.

I've had this jacket for 2 months now and I'm extremely satisfied. The jacket is lightweight and packable but still has all the features I could possibly need.

Unlike a lot of jackets that claim to be waterproof, I have had zero breaches so far. Longest test has been a 6 hour hike on the moors where it rained constantly.
Not the roughest test but you can only beat what's put in front of you.

This jacket has met the challenge for everything I have had for it so far, all while giving an exceptional fit, something I often struggle with for shells. I am 6'2" and 190lbs, not abnormally long arms but long enough to not fit many jackets. From single track riding, xc skiing, backpacking my little one around, and walking the dog, it has held up beautifully and performed as expected. The biggest star for me is the stand up collar, it makes a massive difference to close out the elements and seal in the heat when the wind chill is stiff. No wonder it is a fixture to the stellar Arc'teryx lineup

Great fitting shell that doesn't ride up with excessive arm movement. Good selection of colours and lightweight, ideal for those wet walks and likes in the British countryside.

I picked this up about 2 months ago, honestly worth every cent. First day out wearing it I was caught in a downpour. Was I wet? Nope, not at all. The material is thick and makes a little noise, maybe as it breaks in it will be quieter so sneaking up on Sasquatch will have to wait. It fits about spot on, pockets are in a usable spot. This is the jacket you need, it's the do it all, see it all jacket to travel the world with. Just don't try to be a Sasquatch catcher........... at first.

I bought this jacket a few months ago and it has turned out to be the best investment I could make. Went for a good long steep hike and the jacket held up to all of it's accolades. Kept me dry, pit zips allowed me to not get too sweaty and the well thought out hood kept me completely dry. My only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner as I went snow shoeing earlier in the year and got drenched with a competitors jacket. Fabulous jacket, the Beta AR and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking full protection from the elements.

I bought this jacket for an Iceland trip as it's light weight, packs down small, but could also deal with the wind and rain. It was the perfect jacket for Iceland as the layer goretex is 100% waterproof and wind proof. It held up against everything Iceland throw at us over 8 days of hiking and exploring in the rain, snow, wind and the low temperatures.
I also use it back home in Flordia as a rain jacket. It's so extremely breathable so it works better than my thinner lighter rain jacket is not breathable so during the spring and summer showers I feel clammy and hot.
I also use it skiing in winter and again its perfect! Enough warmth for the lefts and breathability during exertions. The Bata AR is a go-to for and output with full wind proof waterproof features.

I bough the Beta AR for all around use, IE skiing shell, rain jacket for summer adventures, etc. Couldn't be happier. Keeps me dry through all the elements and fits like a glove.

I've had this jacket for the winter and now into the spring. Used in a variety of conditions for both casual use, hikes, and snowboarding. Worked amazing in all conditions with great durability. Looks great and fits great! The collar makes layering up with hooded mid-layers difficult. I wish there was a small side pocket for RFID cards for resorts. I know it's not a ski/snowboard specific jacket, but a small side pocket would be helpful.

I bought this jacket a few months ago and it has already served me better than any other shell I've owned. Arc'teryx is genuinely the best outdoor company in existence and no one else does quality like they do. ARCY FOREVER!

I bought this to replace a Beta Lt. Jacket features are well placed. You can definitely see how much work goes in to designing these jackets it fits perfectly with multiple layering systems when hitting the mountains. I would highly recommend this jacket. May be a higher price tag but taken care of my last one has lasted for 9 years and still keeps the rain/wind/snow out

Beta AR !!
What a jacket !! Walked in the store to buy a Sabre AR and walked out with the Beta AR in Dynasty. I was told "trust me!" I did, and I'm extremely happy with it! The fit is perfect -got a medium- it's not trim fit but still closer to the body then the sabre or the Rush and with the mid layer, had a fleece T200 jacket, it fills it just perfectly. ( I will be buying the Proton LT next). The first time I wore I was skiing under pouring rain for over 7 hours, had papers in my pocket, when done they were bone dry !! I did not over heat nor was I cold!!
flexibility was good didn't bother me in any of my skiing. I like the new collar but it's close to the neck that you can't have to many layers there, nothing thick. but I like it. The hood works well with a helmet, just adjusting it is not as fast as I thought.
Only thing I wished it had a side pocket on the arm and specially a internal pocket that really can be useful. Other then that an awesome jacket !!! Highly recommended and versatile to any season and literally any activity
Thank you guys !!

I was on the fence for a long time as I really wanted the jacket but the price was a stretch for me. I finally bit the bullet and even then wasnt sure if I was ok with it.... Until I used it. Everytime I put my jacket on it makes me feel exactlty how a high end technical piece of clothing should make you feel. Confident in the protection it provides, bone dry. I love the pocket options

I bought this coat for downhill skiing in Alaska and I love it. It keeps me dry and warm for full days on the mountain. The Gortex is incredible on wet days. I can't wait to take it winter fishing on the ocean.

I have bought this jacket about a month ago after waiting for the Zeta AR to come back in stock (spoiler alert, it didn't). I really like the length as it covers my bum and it has held up in the light rain it has experienced so far. I personally like earth tones and this is a lovely shade of dark green with a hint of teal. I was torn between a small but couldn't easily wear a sweater with it and a medium which is a tad on the big side (but I really needed it for the extra room in the bust). As a whole I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Replaced my Sidewinder after about 12 years with this jacket. It fits well, and the materials are nice and crisp, very water repellant (like all gore-tex) and easy to move in. I love the collar as it stands on its own without needing the hood which is great for skiing or cool days. This year I've worn the jacket in just about every condition imaginable and it's done great keeping me dry and warm.

I purchased this jacket to use while steelhead fishing the winter months on the west coast. Standing in a river swinging flies through pouring rain and I was dry as could be! I highly recommend for a shell!

I've skied in this 23 days now this year and love it. It keeps you 100% dry on heavy rain/snow mix days, surprisingly breathable, and if you need to dump heat if you are hiking or on days where it's sunny you can utilize the vents. The only thing I would change is the chest pockets to be more vertical like the alpha line of jackets but thats a very small complaint for an over all awesome jacket.

Love this thing! Been through a few torrential downpours and stayed absolutely dry. The material is a little noisy but you get used to it. Quality you expect and looks great. I use it mostly over my atom lt and it keeps me warm in the winter.

This was my first Arc'teryx purchase, and I'm glad I decided to buy it. I have worn it skiing and hiking, and it was able to handle the wet winter conditions in Northern NY. I bought a size up (L) so I could layer underneath. The jacket is long enough to cover layers, but not get in the way. I anticipate this being my go-to jacket for wet weather in all season and for all activities.

I have spent several years purchasing different hard shells in search of one that didn't leave me cold and clammy on the inside. I finally decided to throw down the money to try the Beta AR. And it was worth EVERY CENT. I have worn it in rain, snow, dry conditions but 45 mph winds, and this jacket has performed beautifully! It is absolutely bomb proof and unbelievably breathable. So impressed! And as an extra bonus, it not only performs better than I expected, but the fit is outstanding. Plenty of room for layers underneath but the cut doesn't make you look like a sack of potatoes when you're bundled up. So much love for this jacket!

I had a Beta SV that was old enough that I don't even remember when I bought it. Decided that it was finally time to reward myself with a new shell. Honestly, I didn't even know what these felt like - it was Covid-time, and I ordered the Beta AR on faith through the site. It's truly amazing - customizable, breathable and ridiculously light. Once, I thought it was my light Japanese rain jacket when I grabbed it out of the closet in the dark. So good. Kingfisher is a great, deep dark blue and the fit is definitely "athletic" - it fits me but without too much room to spare after quarantine 15. Length is great - hits just below the waist.

I got the 2019 Midnight Sun Beta AR and I love this jacket so much that I had to get another one when a newer 2020 with rugged Goretex Pro was available as my spare. I got the Rhapsody color and love the distinguishing coloured dual layer. The jacket is great on layering and I can easily wear up to four layers and this as my fifth when we hit a sudden snow storm while hiking up Panorama Ridge at the Garibaldi park. A great wind breaker and rain proof.

Bought this last year after a trip where my previous jacket didn't hold up to the weather. Love it! Great wind protection and keeps you very dry without overheating.
