I bought this jacket about two years ago and now I take it on almost every adventure I go on. Originally, I wanted this jacket to fill a gap between the light, barely even a shell, type jackets I had been using for Nordic ski training and the overly hot down puffers I used on cold days in the winter. This jacket passed my expectations and took over a lot of other use cases I never thought it would. Here are my favorite things about it: 1. A convincing synthetic. I like having a synthetic jacket for most adventures so I can pack light and not be completely out of luck if I get caught in the rain or find another way to get the jacket wet. 2. It still manages to be light enough that I have no problem backpacking, climbing, running, skiing, or doing anything else with it. It doesn't pack down quite as small as some lighter down alternatives but 90% of the time it works for me. I'd say it will satisfy all but the most intense gram counters. 3. My Atom is surprisingly warm. I expected to take a hit in thermal efficiency compared to my old down sweater but it is a lot better than I hoped. It isn't as warm as a down puffer of the same weight by any means but it can hold its own in some fairly cold weather. I'm bad at judging or remembering to record temperatures, but I'd say most people will find it a bit warmer than they think it'll be for a "LT" jacket. 4. Really well built: A lot of my friends and athletes I know have told me that Arc has some of the best quality gear out there. I wasn't sure what the hype was about until I tired it myself, but I am impressed with this jacket. I haven't beat the life out of mine and I'm fairly hard on gear. Granted, I haven't climbed through any chimneys scraping my arms wall to wall or fallen off my bike into a sand pit wearing it but it has stood up well to regular back country use and daily use around town. It still looks almost brand new and it has seen a lot of action. The design details are also good. The fit of the jacket, hood, and pocket placement is spot on for me. I have never found anything about the jacket that has made me upset or wishing something could be changed. It has just always worked. However, there are still some things about this jacket to note: 1. This jacket is still a halfway point thermally. It breathes ok for anaerobic workouts and it is an ok level of warmth when you're paused. For me this works because I do a lot of stop and go activities where having a jack of all trades master of none is my preferred option. If you expect to be pushing it all the way the whole time you work out (and you don't live somewhere where the high is 0 degrees C) or you are static the majority of the time this jacket might leave you an overheated or shivering mess. 2. This is a hybrid jacket that puts some fleece panels on the sides. I actually didn't know this when I bought the jacket because my friend who recommended it to me had an older model without this feature. The fleece lets the jacket breath more but that can go both ways. If you are in a really windy or really cold environment this jacket can leak heat REALLY fast. I've had this happen to me a couple of times at static rests near the top of peaks when the tree line gives way and you get blasted by high speed winds. Wearing a hardshell over top can fix this, and the more breathable fleece actually makes this a very pleasant mid layer in my experience. However, if you want a jacket you can keep in your pack that can also work as an additional thermal layer to pull over your other layers (including your shell) you will probably be out of luck (I'd recommend a down layer with a more relaxed fit). Overall, I love this jacket and at its current price it is a really good value which is not something you can normally say about Arc products. I plan to keep on around for the foreseeable future.

Bought this recently and love the color, fit and overall warmth level. Will be a great layer during days on the slopes, and perfect on its own in summer/fall months in higher elevations.

The Atom LT Hoody makes it possible to always feel prepared in any place with unpredictable, moody, variable weather. When you don't need it, it packs down real small, and when you do need it, it deploys easily. The design is impressive, from choice of materials (love the fleece side panels) to the sewing quality (always a showstopper.) It's also really appreciated that Arc'teryx makes a 3XL size in this jacket (currently.)

I have had my eye on this jacket for a long time. I am retired from my full-time job and working part time at REI. I appreciate Arc'teryx giving us the opportunity to purchase such a great jacket with a Pro deal.

I love the way this (and other Arcteryx) outer shells moves with their great angel wing designs. No lifting of the body when I raise my arms above my head. And with the stretch panels along the sides, this garment moves and gives with little restrictions.

I just received this jacket and it's my first Arc'teryx item I've ever owned. While it's too hot now to wear in Arizona, it will come in handy in the winter. The color saturation is gorgeous and I love the bright pink interior. Nice fit, I ordered small and am 5'4", about 122 lbs.

I have now purchased five of these jackets and, less for one (didn't like the colour) they are without doubt my favourite Arcteryx products.

Just received the jacket and have not used it yet but the fit of this thing is perfect. I'm just under 6 feet and 155 lbs and the small is a great fit. Good length arms, not too much room in the torso. I've long been a fan of arcteryx products and this one seems to be a winner.

This is my second atom. I didn't *need* another one because my original from two years ago is still great with zero issues. There was a new colour that I absolutely loved so I snagged it. I find the newer fit is a little less fitted than my previous version (same size), but still form fitting for layering and all the features remain awesome. I use this under my Beta AR for colder hikes, skiing, mountaineering, and casually around the city.

Best jacket I ever bought! It's very light and surprisingly warm for its weight. Very good wind protection but leave just enough wind in so you don't overheat when you're active. Also it keep you warm even if you're wet after having sweat a lot

I wanted to wait a while to review this hoody to see how it performed and washed. This hoody is fantastic; so lightweight yet warm. I am honestly sad it has warmed up, and I can no longer wear it daily. It washes great and everyday stains come out without extra effort. My only gripe is with Arc'teryx sizing. All jackets/hoodies are just a little too large for their sizing. I purchased the XS as an athletic petite female (113lbs), which is a little too large in the body but fits my shoulders. I can fit a few layers underneath when it is extra cold but ideally would prefer it to be more trim in the body and still fit my shoulders. Will not stop me from wearing it every day that I can though.

Got a hoody this time, to replace the Atom LT jacket I lost. Love how cozy & warm the hood keeps my head. As always the Atom LT is the one I go to for daily use and for travels. Super light, packable, & great for layering. Over a t-shirt for walking around in 50 degree breezy sunny days. And as a midlayer under my beta shell in hail/ snow at an outdoor concert last weekend. XS fits perfectly (I'm 5'8, 36" C, 28" W). Please, more bright fun colours for the guys too. Bring back Squid Ink! Or a fuchsia!

This jacket is so light and versatile. I've been using it for spring golf and it's great. Warm and wind proof. Should be great for a 3 season jacket and balmy winter days.

I bought my first Atom LT last year and it's the best jacket I have ever owned. Lightweight, good isolation, clean look. I am using it every single day. Basically everywhere I go I am wearing this jacket; running, hiking, backcountry skiing, nordic skiing, football practice, daily commutes, to work. If its very windy and/or rainy I use it as a midlayer. It is very packable. When it got very dirty I washed it and it was as good as new. I now own 3 of this jacket and I'm very confident I'll have a bunch more in the future! I am lean/athletic, 75kg, 182cm and use size M. 10/10
