Really like this jacket. It goes well with a lot of other clothing so very versatile.
It's a good all rounder weight wise and works well under a waterproof layer on colder wet days and good for a top layer on UK mountain days out.
This is my go-to jacket for everyday casual wear too. Shopping etc.
I'm fairly new to Arcteryx but have bout a few things since this jacket. (Beta AR shell & Psiphon pullover lightweight soft shell). Overall I am liking the fit of the brand and will hopefully build on that when new gear is required.

I live in the Bay Area and wear my atom year-round. It's so light and adapts well to different conditions. It is breathable enough to wear in the fall and spring, yet provides enough warmth for the winter as well. Can't imagine my jacket rotation without it.

Well designed light weight insulated wind breaker, which i wear every morning to walk my 2 dogs. I live in san Francisco, where temperature at 6 am varies between 50 & 60 degrees for 9 months of the year. Nice colors as well.

This was my first Arcteryx jacket. I have since purchased two others for vary climates. It was recommended to me by a REI employee. Very comfortable and stylish.

Fantastic as a stand-alone or as a layer under a shell. This coat has been wonderful for those cool evenings around the campfire. It's easy to clean because of the synthetic insulation and it cleans up very well. The other day I had decided it had been too long since I had last washed it, I used the Arc'teryx technical wash and it came out like a brand new coat.

This is the most utilized gear in my outdoor hiking wardrobe.
It's used in the spring, fall and winter under my shell (usually my Gamma MX hoody).
Perfect fit, feels light and breaths incredibly well which is key when hiking.

When I bought my Atom it was the first experience I've ever had with an Arc'teryx product. Being from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada I experience an extremely wide variety of temperatures throughout the year. With just a t-shirt on underneath, it's great from -10 to about +15 degrees. Put a thicker sweater hoody on underneath and all of a sudden this jacket is more than enough even into the -30 range. I've never owned a jacket that is so warm while being so lightweight, and the quality doesn't stop there. The Atom manages to be durable at the same time, which makes it a great option for outdoor winter activities like skiing or snowshoeing. The beauty with this jacket is that it's light enough to be useful on a cooler summer/fall day, or a rainy day at the golf course. Last but certainly not least, the good has a great cinch-down system that actually allows you to turn your head with the hood up. No more having to turn your entire body like Batman when you're backing out of your driveway in -25. They really thought of everything with this. Full marks.

This is the most versatile jacket I own. Can be used on it's own or used as a mid-layer.

This is a my favourite jacket for winter. It's light weight but quite warm. It's easy to throw in a backpack if your on short trip, it takes very little space. This is my second one.

I pretty much wore this jacket all fall, through the winter (it only gets to about -10celsius where I live) and into early spring. It fits well and is easy to pack down into a bag. Love the color and the fabric.

I love this jacket so much I bought a second one. Totally worth the spend. Wearable in outdoor activities as well as with jeans for an ordinary day. Sometimes I wear it like a regular hoody around the house when it's chilly just because it is so soft!!

In a "treat yourself" moment when my down jacket failed to keep me warm for yet another camping trip, I had to buy something I knew would work. After months of research, I finally came down to this one or the Cerium. I opted for the Atom LT with the intent of wearing it in the morning when it's cold outside, but I found myself being able to wear it throughout the day. It's an amazing jacket well worth the price!

I wear this jacket more than any other jacket in the fall and winter. Very comfortable, light and looks nice too!
I overheat extremely quickly, and it seems more breathable than my other fall/winter insulated jackets. I am 5'8, 205lbs with a muscular build. The large size fits me well.

This is an incredibly great jacket! I have used it Year round in San Francisco and even taken it with me to New York City in the winter time. The design includes zip pockets spacious enough for cell phone, wallets and keys. The inner zip pocket is a very nice Touch If you're traveling and want to keep stuff safe and secure.

I bought this jacket for work as I bounce in between cold cellars and the office every day. I have worn it every day since I have gotten it and wear it on hikes and outdoors every chance I can. Most versatile jacket I've owned and will be coming back for future purchases.

I've hard this jacket for several months now and it's my favourite jacket I own. It's very comfortable, it feels like wearing a sleeping bag. I've worm it on the outdoor rink, skiing, hiking, climbing, and out to run errands as a mid layer and a stand alone jacket. I'm pretty comfortable wearing this jacket and just a t-shirt down to about -5 celsius ( I run a little warm). I would definitely buy again.

First off, I love this jacket.
It is incredibly comfortable and I always find an excuse to have it on (such as wearing only a light shirt when cool outside).
I see it around town all the time and it seems to have become the standard jacket for light/medium insulation.
I'm 6'2, 165lbs and the Large fits perfect, not too tight, not too bulky.
Not that it matters too much in terms of purpose, but it also looks much better than the conventional insulated jackets, with no signs of baffle stitching or shiny fabric.
I've used it hiking and skiing and I'm very satisfied with the breathability while not compromising too much on insulation.
I would consider it a perfect Spring/Fall jacket for light to medium output or a Winter jacket for high output activities.
My only concern is that the outer fabric looks like it could rip pretty easily if not careful. I haven't had a problem with it so far though.
