There isn't a lot to say about the Atom that hasn't already been said. My 8 year old LT was still going strong when I got this years version, solely because you can't go everywhere completely covered in bike grease, hot sauce stains and chalk. So I grabbed a "dress" version for the nights I want to look like someone who uses a washing machine. I like the updates and the fit is great, at 4'11" and 100lbs the XS is the perfect length in the arms and torso. Can't wait to give it's first spilled coffee stain, trust me, they only get better after that.

I never go anywhere without my Lt hoody! Super light weight and comfortable and the perfect warmth. I've been everywhere in this bad boy and it holds up very well.

It's simple... if you live in the PNW, you've got to have an Atom Hoody. It goes with the territory - same as plaid, Blundstones, sour beer and veganism (I'm only partly kidding).
Great versatile layer - stuff it into your pack for a late summer hike, throw it on for your best mate's rainy Covid wedding in October, and then use it as a midlayer for skiing all winter.
I'm actually an athletic, 5'9 female and as it turns out, the men's S fit better than any of the female sizes. Food for thought.

This is the quintessential jacket. Perfect weight but still very warm. Exceptionally comfortable. Love it

Hands down, the best jacket I have ever owned. Worth every penny. I wear this pretty much with every activity when the weather allows it. I look forward to it getting colder so I can wear this jacket. At the office, on a hike, mountain biking, sleeping in it, all comfortable.

The Atom is a staple piece for me! The LT provides enough warmth for layering, heading to work or hanging out on a patio with friends. The LT is my go to for it's breath-ability! I'm always impressed by the durability and longevity of these jackets. I've used mine for skiing, climbing, hiking, dirt biking and enjoying time by a fire with friends.

I have had four of these and wear one almost everyday, all winter for work. It is really incredible how this jacket is comfortable in a wide range of temperatures. When new, it has a bit of water resistance that diminishes as the DWR wears off. Not a big deal because when the jacket gets wet it dries very quickly.
Only downside is the new sizing has reduced the circumference of the chest so now it cuts a bit under my arms. Don't be fooled by the picture of the 6 foot 1 inch model wearing the size medium. I am 5"11', 185 pounds and the size large just fits.

I've had many Atom LTs before, so I impulse bought the colour Dynasty, as I thought it was red. It is actually more orange than red. Still a great jacket and a cool colour, just not what it looks like on the website. I am 5"8 and 155lbs and have a L so I can comfortably fit layers over it. If I was going to wear it as a stand alone, I would probably get a M.

I love the new Paradox color! It goes well with a wide variety of other gear and my GoreTex shells. Material is very comfortable, maybe a bit too delicate though? I wish the pulls were just a bit bigger, but I'm being picky. I have a large collection of jackets and this has quickly become a favorite. The fit, light weight and versatility are it's best features and it is warm! I'm 6', 170 and the large is perfect. You will not go wrong with this purchase.

This is by far one of my favourite and go to Arc'teryx pieces that can be worn in any type of cold weather. I have abused my hoody so much and it is still so resilient and fun to wear. I would recommended this hoody to anyone that I met and I stand behind it. The fabric is a little fragile so I have to be careful with that but otherwise it is the best hoody on the market!!!

Super cozy jacket that is very warm considering it being so lightweight. Great breathability, but that also means that it's not suitable on its own during strong winds.

This jacket is hands down the greatest jacket ever created in the Outdoor Apparel industry. It leads the pack in mid layer jackets and every other outdoor apparel brand has tried to replicate it in their own versions and have failed. It is the perfect weight for pretty much any adventure. In the summer it's a great jacket you can throw in your bag since it compresses so much and for winter activities I use this is the jacket as my mid layer under my shell and it keeps me warm. In general, I think Arc'teryx runs small so I always buy a medium in jackets. I'm 5'5 and 130-135lb and it fits perfect.

I work as an outdoor educator, and lead trips regularly into the backcountry around BC.
I wear this jacket as much in the city as I do in the field. It works well as a layer on its own when it's dry as it does under a shell. I've even worn it in the light rain for a long period of time, and even though I was soaked I stayed warm.
It's taken a beating while I've used it for climbing and the face fabric has remained in good condition. I use this jacket skiing as a mid-layer in the resort and backcountry, as well as around camp in the fall, winter, and spring.

I've had an Atom for a few years now and have worn the jacket for pretty much every occasion. I've worn it to weddings, I've worn it skiing, I've worn it rock climbing, I've worn it to school and to work. I've worn this jacket pretty much everywhere and it has done such an amazing job overall. Seriously, this is the best all purpose jacket I have ever owned.
Well not everything lasts forever and my zipper ended up breaking, so on the off chance that Arc'teryx would cover the broken zipper under warranty I decided to send it in and see what they would say. Not only are the covering it under warranty but they are sending me a brand new one because their repair shop is more busy than normal. Seriously, not only is it one of the best jackets, if not the best jacket that I have ever owned, Arc'teryx stands behind their products. Such an amazing experience working with them and I'm excited to get my new jacket.

I have 3 or 4 of these jackets now and they are literally what i reach for almost all fall/winter/spring. They are either a layer under a shell or worn on their own. It's incredible how much they breath under a shell. Your sweat wicks right through. I have a couple of the hooded versions and one without a hood to wear with a ski shell so the hood doesn't bunch when you pull the shell hood over your helmet. Absolutely the best jacket I've ever purchased, hence my closet full of them. I've owned a couple for at least 5 years, and they've held up fine. Arcteryx stands behind their products when my watch started to break apart the seam on one sleeve they fixed it no issue.

Ideal for all my winter sports - up and down for alpine touring- hood on and off quickly; resort skiing; cross country skiing; skating; even snow shoeing. When hiking and biking start probably good for cooler days too and for stowing in pack.
