I loved it, had to give it to my daughter for college.
She uses it frequently with out issue. I have never heard her complain it carries everything.
I am sorry to say I need to replace it.

I ordered this when it was on sale as I needed a new carry on for both business and personal travel. I really like the front pocket for its ease of access. I also really like the compartments which make it easy to separate items or if I'm sharing with my partner or one of my kids. The color also makes it stand out. I wish the wheels spun through as sometimes I have had a few hiccups navigating this through the airport.

I used this luggage on a road trip. It funcioned very well and the skateboard wheels made it easy to go over terrain that most rollers would find unpassable. I also liked that there were handles on virtually every side of the suitcase as it made moving it around that much more doable.

I love the size of the bag as well as the ability to separate in either side, once the bag is open. Only downfall is the fabric on the front side of the back is very fragile. You can not check this case under the plane, otherwise it would be easily damaged.

Laptop doesn't fit into front pocket. Zipper if much harder to open. Material doesn't seem as strong as the older bag. I love my older version but the wheels no longer were workable. The new version is a bit slimmer but still hold capacity and makes a great carry on.

I am a pilot and I travel lot. For 25 years I used a metal frame pilot bag, and because of its weigh, 16 pounds empty, I had it parked. The copilot roller seems like a good alternative, looks good, ample capacity and its weigh is acceptable. I packed my uniform and 7 days worth of underwear, socks, t shirts, a pair of jeans, sneakers, a couple of dress shirts and a toiletry case. Every thing fits perfectly . Finally, when I ventured out of my house with the Copilot Roller, to my surprise the bags handles very well. It rolls easily, and it is very stable specially during sharp turns. It navegates through heavy crowds like an ace. It is very ease to lift into the overheads and because of the handles, I can grab it and go.
A couple of times the bag was exposed to heavy rain and snow, to my surprise every thing inside was dry.
I have few minor complains on my Copilot Roller.
I wish it was just a little be lighter.
I wish it had a clip for my small bag. I rigged a clip which attaches to the top handle. It works OK.
The zipper snags. When I am in a hurry the zipper doesn't flow easily around the bag. Very minor.
As a final note, the Copilot had being with me on 3 trips around the country, and so far it is leaving up to my expectations. Will see .......

Overall great bag! Awesome clam shell design with separating compartments. My biggest and only complaint is that this bag does not have a "J hook" in order to attach smaller tote or carry on bag to the roller. I am a flight attendant and this feature is very handy and almost necessary for my job. Also, many passengers utilize this missing feature as well since it is not only convenient but also allows a very even diteibution of weight between the multiple bags instead of a second bag simply sitting on top of the roller, which makes pulling it much more heavy and strenuous. This would be a very easy feature to add onto future models of the copilot roller and would be so much more appealing to not only the traveling public, but also flight crews around the world. All in all, it's a great bag. Cheers!

I live in Boston and frequently fly back to visit my family in San Francisco. I only do carry-on luggage to make things simpler. This bag was great on my last trip. It was my first time using a bag that opened in the middle and had you pack both sides. I loved it. Everything was super accessible and more visible, so I could grab something easily if I needed it. The extra pockets were nice to keep things separate and organized like toothbrush, make-up, jewelry, tampons etc. (Also made it easier to re-pack after TSA rummaged through it:| ) The handle is really grippy and feels good on your hand. My only complaint is that I packed my bag really heavy and I got tired rolling the suitcase through the airport after a while. It would have been nice to have the option, like some bags with four wheels, to roll it upright. That being said, it was heavy and I felt assured that the bag would have no problem handling the torture I put my luggage through.

I have a Command messenger that's great and I've been looking for a carry-on roller to take as well. In Australia Virgin Australia is not really a budget domestic airline, but its carry-on limits are ridiculously small, especially when compared with its competitors. Size allowed is 34x48x23 or 105cm, and 7kg total. Not sure if the Co-pilot can be squashed to fit within the size limits even if it's a bit over the weight limit. It would be great if there just a slightly smaller co-pilot available because everything else looks perfect.

I use the suitcase for short to medium length trips. It is sturdy, easily identifiable, and stylish. It allows you to organize things easily and well. It only has two wheels so it does not swivel around like some products with four wheels. The red coating on the back/extended handle had been scraped after only two trips. And that is with me being careful and the bag only being checked once. Timbuk 2 needs to use a more durable UV curable urethane powder coating. I paid extra for this style specifically to have the red coloring and am disappointed with it being damaged so early in its life.

So far, so good! The roller is lightweight and seems to have great capacity for a carryon. I would recommend this roller to business types as well.

The compartments in this bag are very well thought out. There's a top compartment for small items that's easily acessed from outside, along with a pocket that will hold an iPad. Very convenient.

I purchased this bag for ten day trip to Europe. I would have liked it to expand to allow for souvenirs on return. The bag is solid and very stylish.

I needed a replacement for my 22" case because the wheels became too damaged. I take frequent business trips via air that are two-four days in length and avoid checking luggage as often as I possibly can. Being tall, my dress jackets do not fold well in newer 21" models. I have now taken two trips with my Timbuk2 and am very pleased at how easy it is to both roll and carry. My biggest disappointment is that is not expandable, so if one has no room left when packed - and I pack very efficiently - one will have no room to add anything to the case on the return trip home or to the next destination.

Glad I went with the small bag because any bigger and it would not pass for a carry on. Really nice looking bag, wheels are very sturdy. Happy with my purchase!

My friends said I should get luggage with 4 wheels to be more versatile in moving it around. But because of the size (medium) it wasn't a problem at all.

I took advantage of a recent big sale to pick up this bag. After 5 summer trips, overall I like this bag quite a bit. Very easy to identify at the airport, unique closure system that allows a lot of organization and flexibility in packing. If you like your things very orderly this is the bag for you, very different than the "single large space" model that most others have.
Durability of the bag seems very good, and I have checked it flying twice with no issues. Two things that somewhat worry me long-term:
1) The handle system, when fully extended, has a significant amount of play/wobble to it. It feels like it could be broken or bent accidentally with not too much force. In short, it's not confidence inspiring. Reading some other reviews, it appears that this issue has happened to others.
2) The main large zipper can be a little difficult. It hasn't jammed on me, but it doesn't zip very smoothly either. It's quite thick and seems durable otherwise.
Everything else seems like it will last a long time. The size is perfect for 2-4 day trips, but no longer. Also, it absolutely could not be any bigger and still qualify as a carry-on, so if this is something you worry about you may want to get the small size.
Overall, easy to recommend with some minor reservations about long-term durability.

Love the design and style including the skate board wheels - rolls great! It needs to be a bit bigger. I have other cases that fit into carry on luggage that are a bit bigger. It is limiting that way.

Bought the mid-size bag and liked it so much that I bought the small. The SLIM design is really great for overhead bin storage. The clam shell style is great for organizing but I perceive it is more difficult to pack/access than a single compartment. The slightly different "look" makes it easy to identify in a group of similar bags.

So lightweight for such a large capacity bag.
Great for long trips.
Wish there was a bag size in between this one and the next size down.

Purchased this bag to replace a European-style bag that is slightly too wide to fit in the more restrictive sizers that the major carriers are now using. All the reviews said that the small copilot would go aboard easily. Beware: it does NOT fit in the gate-area sizers, but it does fit aboard most aircraft except the smaller CRJs. The aluminum frame showed clear scratches after the first trip, but that's probably to be expected.

I have the small size and love it. Be ready for the fact that it is clam shell style, so living out of your suit case can be challenging if you leave it on the hotel luggage holder hotels provide (rack is a little small but you can make it work). The handle latch works well. The wheels are awesome and I have though about changing them to the LED lighted kind you can get for skate boards! HA! I did order the large size for overseas travel but it was too large. Wish they had a size between what they currently offer. The large didn't work for me and now I am stuck with another brand that isn't as nice as my TIMBUK2.

The overall design and size was everything I was hoping for in a piece of luggage. Quick access to small items and a bottom grab handle are essential. The only disappointment is the lack of an intermediate extension lock for the handle. Basically the handle can only be used fully extended or collapsed which isn't always ideal. Handle also does not seem as strong as it could be but time will tell.

I love the bag as this is the second one I have purchased (also have the MED sz). The one thing that would make this bag and the other I own perfect would be a better telescoping handle. The pull handle itself is not very solid and seems almost an afterthought when you see how well the rest of the bag is put together. It is extremely functional, don't get me wrong, but the finish and fit seem off.
