Great bag - well-made, spacious, and sturdy. A bit cumbersome at times and I sometimes miss the 4 wheels of my previous large suitcase.

It is a great bag with ample of storage volume. The built, fabric, zippers are of high quality and appearance overall is pretty trendy. Yet to travel with the bag; will update the review probably after a couple trips. Bit pricey compared to other comparable bags, but worth it if it holds up over a few trips.

I love timbuk2 products have for over a decade and I really wanted to love this co-pilot carry on; however, I'm not use to this style of bag. Pros: love the organization (pocket/compartments); love you can unzip and have access to a section with out opening entire bag; love, love the wheels; love that sewn handles feel very sturdy; material is great( love fabric/soft sided bags) Cons: telescope handle feels cheap; also feels like this bag should have 4 wheels although I was drawn to it because it has two and my previous bag did; this bag doesn't feel like it has enough space for a week trip(major con for me); zippers get snagged too easily.

Love my Copilot (small) and have travelled with it domestically and internationally for years. But I have to point out that on a recent Air Canada flight between Canada and the U.S. I was directed to place my Copilot in the sizer at the gate. The bag did not fit. I had never tried this before but somehow suspected the bag would never fit whenever I've considered it previously just for fun. The problem is that the wheels stick out and in the listed dimensions you can see that the depth of the bag is listed at 9.25" which is already 0.25" over the limit (sizers don't care about volume, just actual dimensions). Now, with the bag completely full it also will stretch a bit but even before that if you have anything in the flap pocket at the front you will also find that that flap then sticks out adding to the depth even more! (Air Canada limits are -- in inches -- 21.5 x 9 x 15.5; this bag should fit in those dimensions based on the tech specs here). I was really stumped by this so much so that I had convinced myself that I had purchased the Medium size so long ago and then ordered a Small. Well, when the Small arrived I stood it next my "medium" and then discovered that they were both size Small!! Literally had to go back to my order from the first bag to verify that I had indeed ordered a Small at that time (this was several years ago). It's disappointing since I'm not a fan of spinners, love the sturdy skateboard wheels on Timbuk2 and overall quality and durability (seriously, this is a bag you don't have to worry about when you are required to check it during some short domestic hops in Europe). But it's time for an update since airlines are seriously cracking down now on carry-ons since they have all imposed baggage fees. Love the bag but can't recommend because of the dimensions. In summary: every single part of the bag MUST fit within the published dimensions and for this bag that's just not true.

I travel every week, so I wanted a good size suitcase. It is actually a little bigger than I need. It tends to carry more weight on the outside and slightly larger clamshell. I wish the bottom section was the bigger section. However, overall well-built.

Bought this to use as a dedicated roll-aboard boot/ski gear bag. Love the two zippered halves so you can open without everything falling out. I put the boots in the handle side, jacket, pants, gloves, and goggles in the other. the actual handle/wheel frame is pretty rugged looking aluminum tubing. Back panel molded rubbery plastic and the body is nylon fabric, which...is not as heavy as Id like but looks new after a couple of trips

Slick design, however it is a bit taller than usual suitcase and keeps getting flagged by the airlines as not fitting in the overhead bin when trying to board. Doesn't need two zippered mesh dividers on the inside, one would suffice as the other is redundant for holding things back. Pull handle housing takes up significant space on the inside, can't really see it from the pics. Should have been incorporated in a less intrusive way to make the wall inside more flat/consistent vs lumpy.

This is a no-frills, well-made carry-on that maximizes interior volume for its exterior dimensions. The main compartment has a full-zip opening. Both interior halves of the main compartment have full mesh covers that secure with zippers. The top of the bag has a small zipped compartment for quick access to essentials. Below that is a large, shallow, zipped front pocket on a long flap that zips open to access the front half of the main compartment. The extension handle operates smoothly, and the two wheels look durable. There is a small mesh pocket on the side for a business card. There are nice low-profile handles on four sides. The overall quality of materials and workmanship is very good, making this an easy choice compared to pieces costing two or three times as much.

I bought this bag after many awesome recommendations from my co workers. I the how light and durable it is! I'm still getting used to the clam shell style and fitting all my things inside the zippered areas. It's a little too early to tell, I have been using for about 3 weeks now. For those of us who travel weekly I'm not really sure there's one perfect bag. I am hoping this bag lasts me 5-10 years!

This is a great bag with lots of compartments and sturdy wheels. The only drawback is that it's only 2 wheels. Obviously I knew this when I bought it, but having used suitcases on 4 wheels for so long, I miss that more than I expected to. But I've only used it once so that's just a first impression - I'm sure I'll get used to it.

I've had my eye in this bag for a while and when a wheel broke in my old suitcase I ordered this one. I debated between S and M and went with medium. Lots of room. My minor complaint is that there's no internal compression strap to hold things in place of the bags not completely full. I've only taken it in one overnight so far and looking forward to using it for longer trips. I think I could pretty easily pack for a week in here.

I have two copilots, a new XL and a SMALL. I've used the small on for 5 years and its fantastic. When I needed a new large bag of course I went to Timbuk2. The Copilot line has really great internal storage flexibility, seems to be built like a tank and they roll super smooth with the skateboard wheels. I was only able to use the XL on one trip and on that trip the airlines damaged it beyond being able to use. See the picture. The bag is also shaped different than other bags in this size class. It showed signs of being crushed. All that, I am going to see about getting the parts to fix it and try it again.

Good quality, still getting used to the clamshell. Nice and light, fits a lot. I'd prefer a hard handle on the top instead of a fabric one to make it easier to carry up stairs etc. Fits perfectly in the overhead bins. My toiletry bag fits perfectly in the outside top pocket, easy access. The laptop sleeve isn't very useful to me, and the zipper access to the top also doesn't seem helpful. It's great looking. Zippers are not super easy to use yet, they need a little help but maybe they need to be broken in more. I used it on a flight and 10 day road trip, and the separation of space inside was great for daily organizing. Def recommend.

I love the luggage. Number 1 - the style is so cool. Packing it for a 10 day trip was so easy and it holds alot of garments. It was easy to wheel around the airport. I would buy more products. All i can say is I LOVE MY PIECE!!!

I've had the medium size for several years. Works great on shorter trips. For a recent month in Europe, however, not quite big enough. I went online to order the next size up (large) only to find out that size had just recently been discontinued. My only other option was the ginormous extra large which turned out to be more than twice the size of the medium, and in my estimation, way too large for any one reasonable person. Timbuk2 should come out with a new bag somwhere between the medium and the extra large. That's a very big gap in their product offering that, quite frankly, makes absolutely no sense. Timbuk2, please bring back the large size!!

This has been a great new travel bag for my weekly business trips. It has been sturdy, fits into Delta over heads just fine and rolls really well. If I could improve it I would get a little longer handle (I'm 6'5") and I do like four wheels for rolling by my side vs dragging behind me.

I bought this (S) rolling clamshell suitcase to use as a carry-on for domestic and international flights based on many positive reviews. I have not used it yet but I have thoroughly checked it out. It looks like it will meet my needs very well. Customer service was professional and helpfulthanks Arielle. The skateboard wheels are smooth as butter. If you are thinking about buying it I'd say go for it, it's well thought out and the size and weight should be good given the airline's requirements and your personal clothing requirements. Less is more.

The Medium Co-Pilot is an awesome piece of carry on, rolling luggage with one design flaw. It is sized perfectly for the overhead compartments. It is lighter than my old carry on, so easier to swing up into the overhead. The skateboard wheels roll smoothly on every surface I have tried them on and I love that they can be easily replaced if necessary. The telescoping handle is beefy and well made with a comfortable grip and the bag works great to put a backpack over the telescoping handle, which is how I roll through most airports. The internal compartments are roomy and each have their own mesh divider with a good zipper and some stretch fabric around the zipper. The external large pocket is great for toiletries and more. This is handy if you need to remove your toiletries at security or just for organization to keep them away from the rest of your belongings. The large front zipper is a very thin area, so holds paperwork or a magazine, but not electronics (which I keep in my backpack anyway so not an issue). The larger flap is a bit goofy, but gives you access to the bottom of the front half of the clamshell inside without having to open the whole bag. I am keeping my coat there and can access it easier than shoving it in the top of the bag. So the big flaw is the handle at the top of the bag. It is small and un-padded. I have extremely small hands and still have trouble getting my hand under the handle. Unfortunately, you have to use that handle to get the bag into and out of the overhead compartment and often then have to carry the bag down the airplane aisle and over any rough ground. I tested many bags before buying the co-pilot and they all had better, padded handles. I am working on adding a different handle using polymer bonding adhesive and hope that will solve the issue, but would love for Timbuk2 to replace this with a better, padded handle and then the Medium Co-Pilot would be perfect! BTW, I am a 57 year old woman who flys 2x a week for work.

This is the third roller bag (third size choice) that I have purchased because I love the first two so much. It moves easily. The clam shell zipped sections make it easy to separate items (clean clothes vs dirty for example) and it's light weight. My only disappointment was that the only color left was black and I wanted something different so it stands out like my other two bags. I like the soft outside as well compared to the upcoming hard case that i was told is replacing this.

The CoPilot was first recommended to me as a carry-on by a friend who is an airline pilot. The quality seemed top-notch, and she had glowing reviews. My previous carry-on was an Eagle Creek that lasted forever, so I was looking for a roller of equal or better quality. The CoPilot did not disappoint. The fit and finish quality is great, and I liked the layout of compartments. The bag glides like butter thanks to its substantial wheels. My only reason for not rating it 5 stars is that I've only had the opportunity to use it on one trip. But, so far, I highly recommend this bag. My only (minor) gripes at this point are 1) it would be nice to have a four-wheeled option and 2) there's no option for a "suiter/folder". I know most people do not travel with suits these days, but it would be a nice option for those of use who do.

This bag holds a lot more than I thought it would. The wheels are great making it smooth on all surfaces. I wish the handle was about half an inch higher but learning to adjust to it. If they could make it with the handle on the outside not impeding on space on the inside it would be just about perfect! I pull the bag just about every day so hoping it lasts
