Great product. Well made. I'll have the full line as existing items show wear.

I frequently travel to Asia (5-6 trips a year) plus several other trips a month and have run through several suitcases the past few years. After a series of bags blowing up, wheels snapping off, and handles disappearing, I decided on two things: one, to (try) and only function with carry-on and two, to get a bag rugged enough to withstand the punishing experiences my other bags clearly failed to live through. I have now carried this bag to China three times, multiple trips in the US and Europe and recently to China and the UAE. I had to put it through the baggage hold on this last journey but the bag survived and seemed no worse for wear. Impressive. I am a classic overpacker and stuff my bags to capacity. The clamshell design is a real advantage for the optimistic traveller such as myself that truly believes everything will fit just fine. With this bag it does and the zippers have held without any problem. The material is excellent and it does fit (the small) in domestic airplane overhead bins most of the time. My one suggestion is to make this bag with four spinner wheels so it can be pushed as well as pulled through the airports. (Though the spinner wheels never seem to hold up as well as these two-wheel models). I cannot say anything about the outer pocket because my bag is usually too full to use it but the idea of it is great. The straps everywhere on the bag are wonderful since it allows multiple means by which to grab it from the overhead or as the bag tries to blow past you on the luggage conveyor. And the price of the bag is excellent; I have paid much more for suitcases that simply died on the way to wherever I was heading (forcing me once to buy a new case in an airport when the bag arrived smashed to bits. Shudder) So far this gets my vote as best suitcase I have had in years.

I used my lifetime guarantee to replace an older Timbuk2 model which was mangled by air travel. Since replacement parts weren't available, this model was closest thing to it with an additional $30. It was worth it. Just dragged it for 16 days around Japan's public a transportation network, up and down stairs, in domestic and international overhead luggage compartments. It was fully loaded. It performed like Timbuk2 promised. It also does not look like every other roll in ... A big plus!

I did a lot of comparison shopping when looking for new luggage. Let me save you the time. This bag is the coolest. It's lightweight, has all the zippers and compartments I need, and fits in the overhead compartment on all airlines. Whenever I travel, people are all "Wow where'd you get that bag?" And I'm all "I'm not gonna tell you, this bag is awesome and I want to be the only one who has it!" But I guess the secret's out now. This bag is the coolest.

I first discovered Timbuk2 at a garage sale. I found a purse for $5 and immediately fell in love with the durability and the usefullness of it. Then I happened to be eating breakfast across the street and noticed the store so of course I wandered in. Sticker shock hit me immediately! Yes, these bags are pricey but they are worth it. I am now the proud owner of a messenger (I have used it daily for 1.5 years and it still looks NEW), a backpack, and most recently the copilot luggage. The copilot is the BEST suitcase I have ever owned! Why you ask? Two reasons: 1. It holds everything and all the goodies I bought and had to bring home with me. 2. The wheels are like magic! I never had to pick it up and reposition it or fight with it in any way. My copilot (I think I will call her Jill) never tried to wandered. She stayed happily trailing behind the entire time. Moral of the story: Quality costs money and the best suitcase EVER is definitely quality and totally worth the money.

I am using this carry-on with the Pack-It system from EagleCreek and I have everything I need for an upcoming trek to S.Korea and Japan. I was very impressed with the quality! And the price is very reasonable too.

Kudos to the design team at Timbuk2 for making a durable product that performs as good as it looks. The super quiet skateboard wheels take any surface in stride, and the quick access front flap is a life saver to quickly retrieve something without having to unzip the clam shell. The medium size was perfect for carry-on and overhead bins. Like so many products that come out of the San Francisco Bay Area, the beauty of the Timbuk2 Copilot Luggage Roller 2014 is that its design and functionality trumps all. My order arrived quickly (especially considering I live in Washington, DC) and I was able to have it in time for a trip to Colorado. Next stop is Europe with this bag, and I have confidence that it will do the job perfectly. Highly recommend.

I was originally worried about this not having a zippered "suiter" but the two equal sections are perfect. The outside accessible section is great for the few airports that will out of the blue request liquids be pulled out and separated

As all of my other bags had fallen apart, this was the perfect piece of luggage that should last for years of travel ahead of me. I opted for the smaller bag to stay well within carry-on dimensions, which is still quite roomy for packing. The wheels glide smoothly across a variety of surfaces, and are very quiet. I'm looking forward to a lot more traveling with this bag.

I've been on the road with this for 2 weeks strait and I love this bag. Very simple with strait forward with useful pockets/design. I have the size medium which can be used as a carry on but a large would have been better for longer trips. Besides all the features the video highlights the interior zipper compartments are built onto a stretchable neoprene material. This is great when overloading the bag, the zippers will not break but the material stretches relieving the additional stress.

I bought the Co-pilot when it was first released a number of years ago and have put extensive miles on it. It's highly durable and very stylish. I've had no issues using it as carry-on. I recently bough the latest version of the Co-pilot for my wife. Timbuk2 has made some excellent improvements to the prior version. Would highly recommend.

I owned the previous model for a year. Put 150,000 skymiles on it. It was a good bag. Unfortunately something happened in transit that cause the extending handle to break. Timbuk2 being awesome, replaced the whole bag. So, now I have the 2014 model. It is a great bag. Here's why: The small is now fully, no doubts, carry-on size. The previous model was thicker by around 2 inches and it took a Herculean effort to get it in the overhead bins on some planes. Basically the 2014 medium is the previous small. That, to me, is no problem. I was able to pack for 4 weeks (no joking) in the previous model and always have extra space. There is going to be no problems with the 2014. I always bring Timbuk2's hidden BFD (no longer made... bummer), that packs into a tiny little package, in case I need more room coming back home. The front pocket debacle has been solved. Previous model had three front pockets. Two were entirely useless and the one reserved for shoes was only marginally beneficial. I was able to use it on occasion to hold my work boots. The 2014 has two pockets and a front panel access to the main compartment. Awesome. The top pocket with hold all your essentials (toiletries, passport, sunglasses, head phones, snacks, etc.) comfortably. The front pocket will hold your laptop. Great. Then the front panel access is key as it allows you to stash your coat without opening the whole clam shell. This is a big improvement as it was awkward as all get out to perform that maneuver previously. The material is the same durable, beefy, bombproof, ballistic nylon. Love that. Cool thing is that updated the styling so that it now has a much less hip utilitarian look and a more hip professional look. I dig it. The color options are better, too. The luggage ID tag is a better idea. The old one was cool, but difficult to find for your average luggage handler. I appreciate the cheeky manner of the included tag, but I would say that you could be losing points there for your professional folks. Glad they got rid of the bag hanging fastex strap. Tried it several times and due to the shape of the bag, it was no dice. Cleans the styling up by getting rid of it. Still stick by my original review of the previous bag. I would be awesome if would install some sort of small organizer in the top essentials pocket. Something for a pens, keys, passport, etc. I like the large pocket, but it would be nice to be able to organize it. Also, I would design your messenger bags to work alongside this bag. Perhaps a hidden strap so that would could sling the messenger over the extending handle. I use the adjustable shoulder strap now, but the slack creates snagging issues when I am rolling down the narrow plane aisles. Those two things aside, this bag easily merits 5 stars. Well done, Timbuk2.

I love how the bag handles for toting my books back and forth to Master's classes! The only con is the lack of an exterior pocket, but other than that I love it completely!! I only wish I would have gotten the medium!

I just bought this bag for work and i'm in love! it's the perfect size to tote all my necessary items to work, and has enough pockets to fit my small things so they don't get lost in the mix. the pattern and color scheme are perfect...just enough girly without being over the top. i will probably take this bag as a carry-on for my next flight, too. multifunctional and i'm sure it will last forever. thanks timbuk2!

I am a forty-something student and I love this bag! It is fun, stylish and the perfect size for school. I can pack it full of stuff including my laptop and it never feels to heavy - backpacks were always too heavy for me. Very durable, we have had many of these bags and have used them for years. This is fun and stylish without being to "young" - love the design! I wish there was an external side pocket to slip a water bottle into, but that would be my only complaint and I bet Timbuk2 comes up with a solution for this too.

Purchased this to replace a 4 year old Timbuk2 small tote that I love and still get compliments on. The small messenger is a perfect bag for every day use, carrying books and paperwork, and traveling. And the Eclipse fabric is a striking design and color combination. I live in the Aleutian Islands and Timbuk2 products fit our lifestyle and extreme weather, with added class!

I am currently a college student, returning to school after many years in the business world...this bag is great for what I'm currently using it for, however i can see how it will also be great once I'm back at work full time. It fits all my notebooks and books, plus personal items (phone, keys, lipstick, lunch, etc.) with room to spare. One of the things i was not sure of before i ordered it was the fabric...i'm in my 30s and didnt want the bright pink/brown combo to be too Jr High. The picture of the bag online does not to the fabric justice. it does not make me feel like i should be chewing bubble gum and passing notes in study hall at all. it's a very mature looking fabric in person and the pink isnt as bright as i feared it would be. The brown fabric is accented with gold and pink - very nice, very classy but also very modern looking. i love it! I am so pleased overall with the bag, very heavy duty (metal buckles instead of plastic are very very good!) This is my first Timbuk2 bag, but i can already tell it wont be my last. For anyone wondering...this would be a great gift for any student!!

I was nervous at first about getting a medium size bag, but I really liked the design and I decided to go for it. I am glad I did the medium is plenty large enough for three- four books, notebooks and my MacBook. The design is great and and easy to wear. All the pockets help keep everything organized and easy to find. I love this bag!

I got this bag to replace my mini messenger bag. As my son has gotten bigger so have his diapers and toys and I couldn't fit any of my "mommy" stuff in it. This bag is perfect. I can fit my all of my 2 year old's things, my workout gear, my laptop and my "mommy" stuff. And it's cute!
