I haven't taken a trip yet, so I can't speak to its performance, but it is an attractive bag. They were super kind and sent me a free one because the handle on my previous roller bag broke. So nice to see that they go above and beyond when it comes to their warranty. If you are on the fence about this purchase, you can't go wrong since they will replace it if it breaks.

I have used the co-pilot luggage series for almost 8 years now. Travel in US, EU, Latam, Asia, Africa, business, leisure, train, air, ship, car, whatever the occasion my co-pilot has been there. The bags are not only incredibly durable but are also built light enough for carry on weight limits - your bag does not have to be 2/3 or your carry on weight limit. The Small bag has become my go to bag for any travel up to 2 weeks or more in the tropics. The bags are also infinitely repairable with Timbuk2 selling replacement parts - they make it easy to extend the life of your bags. Many of my bags are on the second roller handle, fabric tears sown up and repaired, Timbuk2 bags are simply the best smart money can buy. If you take advantage of their long life, use the lower weight construction to avoid extra check-in bag fee's Timbub2 is basically paying you to use the co-pilot bag.

We went to Europe for a month "backpacking" old people style, with a rolling bag and carryon. We stayed at Airbnb's that had washing machines. Our friends met us in Greece and had these huge backpacks that they could hardly carry. We just rolled along! We strapped our carryons over the expanding handle and away we would go. We rolled these tumbuk2 rolling bags over cobblestones and onto metro rails. They rolled over dirt paths and down airplane isles. I can't wait to see where we will roll next! Favorite things...the side access and super smooth wheels. No spinning around here, just glide along.

I really have become picky about luggage. Two wheel options have more room inside than spinners. Prefer to check my bags, but can't always. So maximum carry-on size is flexible. Prefer an adjustable split to organize packed items, but 50 - 50 is pretty ideal. Hard sides seem to hold less somehow, and scuff pretty bad. Outside pocket please for documents and items I need to access while in transit. Sturdy handle and wheels, non-tippy, good zippers, and able to stack another piece of luggage on top. Checked all those boxes, and then some! Price was totally reasonable to get all these features. Used the TSA liquids pocket for damp bathing suit!

Very logically structured with great access to the key compartments. Very sturdy hard shell back with protected and robust wheels. Exactly what I was looking for and with a very clean stylish look. 2 comments received from strangers the first time I traveled with it.

This is such a great bag. I'm a flight attendant and fly 20 days a month so I needed a good bag. The one thing I noticed the most about this bag is the weight is distributed correctly. I have my lunch bag on top and when I'm walking I can't feel how heavy it is like I did with my other bags. It also does not fall forward when I let go of it. The wheels are sleek and roll easily. The handle is sleek as well, it goes up and down with no issues. I love this bag!

I just bought this bag and have used it for one flight. Fits overhead in JetBlue Embraer 190 - which is tight. Rolls great. Like the handle + wheels. Nice feel & rolls well. I am conscious of others saying the handle is prone to breaking. After one trip, it's solid. Time will tell. I travel a lot. Have had a few different roller bags. This one stands upright better than any other bag I've had. So far, I love this bag.

This is my second copilot bag. I now have a medium and a large. I use the medium as a carry on and the large as a checked bag. The ability to have two separate large compartments in each bag is great for packing. Clothes in one side and toiletries and underwear/socks in the other. I have been asked by numerous people in the airport "who makes that bag?" as it is not only functional but stylish. The wheels are great, the handle is flawless. My only complaint is the tackiness of the handle is great for grip, but makes it somewhat challenging to slide my briefcase sleeve over.

Recently bought the Copilot S 20", replacing my LuggageWorks Pilot bag 22". My international travel has increased, and the LW bag is quite heavy and really built for carry-on only - it's been checked but always worry about the handle extending and the extra bag hook causing problems. (never did, however). I took the Copilot on an inaugural trip to India this past 9 days. Had to check it mostly, as Indian carriers and others flying into India have a weight restriction of 8 KG for carry-on, and mine topped in at 12 KG. No worries, though, the bag is a champion. Once reaching the US on the return, I used it as a carry-on and it fits so very nicely in the overhead. As far as space, this bag is deceptively big. I packed a suit, another pair of pants, 5 dress shirts, two casual shirts, extra pair of shoes, workout gear, and toiletries of course. I'm 6'1", so had to fold suit coat and pants a bit more than normal, but that wasn't a problem at all especially using my anti-wrinkle trick of dry cleaning plastic. Bag wasn't bulging at all! even brought back some souvenirs that fit a bit snug but no stress on zippers. Seriously love this bag so far, and anticipate it will hold up nicely. I'll put my LW bag on ice for awhile. Nice job Timbuk2.

I have a family of four that travels several times a year by plane and about once a month on a road trip. We have had the co-pilot bag for at least 5 years and we love it! It's still in great shape. The last trip we finally lost a wheel, but an easy repair and back on the road.

Had my first Copilot for about a year and it has been a great carry on. I really like the split design and all the pocket/access areas. The luggage seems rugged to date, as I have had no issues with the wheels, slide out handle, zippers or craftsmanship. My wife used my bag a few times while traveling and loved it. We ordered and received the second Copilot for her last week. Looks like the same quality and craftsmanship as my bag, so all is good!

I have had this back for years. Most of the time I have traveled for work at least 2 weeks a month. I always check my bag, so that's really hard labor. It's a little dirty, but no worse for the wear. If you are looking for sturdy, practical, durable, dependable this is your bag. Easy to roll even with another bag sitting on top, the wheels are the best.

I have used a few bags from this company in the past and was always satisfied so I decided to try a roller for an up and coming trip to Greece for 2 weeks. I knew before hand I would do a lot of walking, climbing stairs and traveling through train stations and airports. When the bag first arrived, I was a little nervous it was going to be too small for two weeks worth of traveling. What a surprise! It fit a lot of stuff with room for what ever I accumulated along the way. I put this bag through the journey of a life time. I dragged it through the streets of New York City, Copenhagen, Denmark and onto Greece. This bag was light enough to carry upstairs, dragged across cobblestone streets and up the ancient steps of the Parthenon! I ran this bag through every obstacle you could imagine, and when I finally arrived home, it still looks new. Putting skateboard wheels on a suitcase is pure genius! These things took my travel experience to a whole other level. My friend bought a very expensive bag from another travel company and her wheels blew off the first day! I give this bag 5 Giant Stars!!!!

I bought this suitcase on the recommendation of a friend. She assured me I would never want another suitcase after using Timbuk2 and she is right. I have talked numerous people into buying the M size because you can pack so much in it and I love the wheels on the suitcase too. I took this for 10 days in Ireland and it worked like a dream.

I bought this on sale a few years ago and I love it. For anything over a long weekend, it's my go-to travel bag, both overseas and domestic. I love the wheels, which are big, sturdy, and roll nicely - I'm never afraid they're going to break on me. I like the clamshell more than I thought I would, as it helps keep things organized. The only thing I would change is I wish the front pocket opened from the top and not the bottom - it would be easier to access from a bin (as most overhead bins are designed to take roller suitcases wheels first) and i wouldn't dump out everything in the front pocket if i've forgotten to zip it!

I travel back and fourth from Los Angeles to New York doing Hair and I'm telling you I put this luggage through hell and back and it's still the same quality when I got it not 1 rip, busted wheel, or dent. I can't tell you how many subway stairs this luggage has endured on a daily basis for 3 years straight sometime I kick it down the pen station steps cuz I'm so tired and just kinda curious how much I can put it through AND STILL IT STANDS. Worth every penny love the wheels I think that's biggest thing it gets over the New York street cracks easily without yanking my should. The blizzard didn't even mess up the fabric I mean this luggage is a DREAM For a freelance artist!

I was traveling through Seoul, South Korea when my wife had asked me to pick up a few things for her. On the last day, I was there, I went shopping. After picking everything up, I knew that I was going to require another bag. I was on the phone with my wife describing everything that I got for her to make sure there was nothing else needed when I told her I needed to purchase a cheap bag to get them home. As I walked over to the department store side, there was a Timbuk2 area. I quickly Googled if this was a legitimate store to buy from (to ensure there were no warranty issues, which they were), walked over to see what products they had on hand, and there was the 22" Black-Nylon (medium size) Co-Pilot Luggage Roller. After thoroughly checking the luggage, I also noticed it was on sale for 30% off. Buying an American name brand item overseas I knew the prices were higher than usual, but with the 30% discount, I was able to purchase the Carry-On for $10 less than the website stated. The Black-nylon 22" Co-Pilot is an incredible carry-on for anyone that travels a lot. Typically, I travel for only a few days at a time. The construction is solid, and I love the ability to grab it from all sides due to the handles located everywhere. Another excellent function that I have already used is the ability to access one side of the clamshell without opening the entire bag. The top zipper is nice to hold my toiletries and water bottle with no problem. Since I have the Command Messenger bag also, having the ability to slip it on the handlebar of the luggage is a major plus in my book. I am quite stylish with matching pieces (at least that is what I think as I tote around the airport). Another nice feature is the laptop pocket, which fits my laptop perfectly. For domestic or international flights, this bag will always be used. I am super happy with the Co-Pilot. The only thing I am worried about is if something does happen to it, many warranty complaints are found.

We bought this to replace a large roller from another manufacturer. The XL is plenty big, but I like the fact that it has a more narrow profile that our previous bag. Clothes just fit it in better and the narrow profile helps you maneuver through crowded airports. The bag itself is a little heavy but it's well made. I also like the clamshell design because my wife and I get to "pick a side" and it keeps things organized while traveling.

I purchased this for a trip cross-country and an extended stay in Japan. The thing I love the most is that there is a handle on every side so lifting this case is really easy. Everything is sectioned nicely so I have a spot for everything. I bought one because my old carryon had finally broken down and now my husband wants to replace his with one as well. I don't expect to buy another carryon bag for a long time.

I needed a small suitcase that would be a carry on. This fits extremely well in the overhead without a problem. The one thing that I absolutely loved about it was when I was walking through the airport it makes no noise at all. It is the smoothest piece of rolling lugged I've ever had. I also got a weeks worth of clothing inside this and was set for my trip all week long. It was amazing what could all fit inside.
