Glad Converse finally made the '70 in navy, which I much prefer to the basic Chucks.

Tried this and Jack Purcells. Kept this one and returned the JPs because the JPs had little support and felt it wouldn't wear well. The soles of these are very thick and the shoe itself is heavier than other chucks I've had. Only issue I had was that the toe cap is shinier than pictured but hoping it will wear off as I wear them. Great shoe.

First off take your regular converse size for these, for clarification yes these fit exactly like regular converses. I've had these shoes for more than 4 months, I wore through one layer of the canvas on the inside of the shoe but it's a small patch. For me if the shoes are too loose I'll hear this really annoying sound when i walk coming from the heel cap part. It sounds like when spongebob walks it's really annoying but that doesn't happen much, and it's sorta fixed when I tighten the laces. I've only noticed two very small creases on the midsole on both sides of both shoes, whereas regular converses would have creased within the first week i mean those things are just crapola. The laces aren't regular converse laces they're thinner. Everything else is good, and has held up well. No complaints, you should buy these before they become scarce and we have to buy those made in china cons. Oh yeah, and they still got a little bit of gloss to them. (If you didn't know these shoes have a slightly glossy look on the midsole and toe cap, the zappos picture doesn't do it justice.) Here is a tip for comfort with these shoes: When lacing the shoes loosen the two eyelets closest to toe cap to where you don't feel the laces when walking, I got the idea from kurt cobain who laced his shoes like that (Wider from toe cap to narrower on tongue) and it felt like heaven.

The shoes runs bit larger than the size indicated but narrow than other brands so try it on offline store before you order.This seems to have much better support and thicker sole so it is bit heavier than other converses. Another thing to mention is that I had a problem with finding the size and bit of defect on shoes and I was so impressed by how Zappos customer service team managed professionally. I have been using Zappos since 2007 and by far, they have the "BEST" customer service.

I have loved chucks for years and have many pairs. I find them to be very versatile and they only get better with wear. Only recently learned of the '70 version and I had to get a pair. Was not disappointed. They have great style and are very high quality. I am puzzled by all of the reviewers who found them to run large and recommended ordering 1/2 to 1 full size up. I ordered my usual Converse size and they are identical. Putting them sole to sole with a regular pair of chucks, they are the same length and width. I have found that Converse sneakers run bigger than other brands, but I would strongly recommend ordering the same size you wear in regular chucks. Love this shoe??

Very comfortable shoe. It is well worth the extra money for this style chuck. The sole is "thicker" but in a good way. I wore these all day walking around an amusement park, and my feet did not hurt! The only recommendation I would have is to buy a size smaller. I wear a 10 in every other shoe, both dress and gym, and I needed a 9. Originally ordered a 9 1/2, but had to return them for a 9.

Super comfortable-- lots of cushion

I have worn converse my whole life and as i get older i notice my back gets tired after an entire day in normal converse. these '70s versions are infinitely more comfortable. the style is better too. you can tell the difference with the thicker canvas and real rubber out sole.

I am loving these shoes so much. I really like the look of classic All-stars, but stopped wearing them because they are pretty uncomfortable. These are so much better. I wear these to work where I am standing and walking for most of the day and they are really comfortable. They have a lot more cushion than the regular Chucks, but still look very similar.

Love them of course! Only complaint is that that feel at least a full half size larger than my other Chuck Taylor's. I had to check to make sure I got right size! Still love them tho!

I love the parchment color and the wider foxing. Really comfortable and I feel like the toe box is wider than in the new converse. My other pair of converse are a bit too narrow in the toes. I would order a 1/2 size down. I usually wear a 6.5 or 7 and the 6.5 were a bit big.

these shoes are a classic pair to have in your closet. i always want another color. They aren't the best for my arches,but for a cute casual shoe, they are great.

Much more comfortable and build quality than the regular Chuck Taylor. Be sure to size down a full size - for example, I wear a 10.5 Vans and 9.5 in Chuck Taylors.

Better quality and comfort compare to regular Chucks, fit is the same.

Ah yes the Chuck Taylor '70 All Star, the bigger, beefier brother of the standard All Star, better in every way. Full disclosure, I only recognized recently that there was a difference between these two models. I have around a thousand pairs of the standard, which I have always bought, over the '70's because of the cost savings and I can tell you the '70 All Star is a much better shoe. The '70 is thicker, heavier, and built better all around. The rubber is nicer, there is more support (still not a ton though) and there is more stitching where you need it. Even the shoelaces are better and more luxurious. I used to recognize a kinship with others I found wearing All Stars, but the true kinship is in finding someone who recognizes that the '70's version is the big ol' laid back Cadillac of this shoe type and that spending an extra twenty bones is well worth it. The rubber is shiner and the shoes run a half size larger than the already-run-large originals (I wear a 12 in the originals and a 11.5 in these) but these things are the bees knees.

Heavy but comfortable

This is the most comfortable pair of Chuck Taylors to date. I run and exercise in these. The classic looks with a premium appeal. This shoes gives support and still flexible. The off-white shine along with the thicker canvas makes these head and shoulders better than the regular Chucks. I will only purchase Chuck Taylor 70s from now on...spend the extra cash, it's well worth it in my opinion.

Converse has been our go-to brand for years. They never disappoints. These are super comfortable out of the box, with excellent support thanks to the cushioned foot bed - great for flat feet. Won't be my last pair.

It looks great, but like most Chuck's, they run narrow so just keep that in mind if you have wide feet.

Converse Chucks are my all time favorite shoe! They're casual and comfortable and stylish. They are a classic style shoe. The fit is perfect. They do not provide much arch support, but, they are still very comfortable. Absolutely love!

These are a step up from regular converse chucks. The rubber toe and rims are ivory rather than white. It's also shinier. The insole has thick cushion. The strings are ivory. It's a great looking converse! Definitely need socks with these or they will stink! I'll wear a low or no-show white or nude cotton sock. I love my Converse Dainty's but these are a chunky splurge.

Very nice shoe. Looks amazing! They do run about 1/2 size too large, which I knew prior to buying. I wear 12 and got 11.5, which fits perfectly.

Long time Chucks wearer but wanted something "more" than the ubiquitous modern Chucks. The 70s provide just that with better quality materials though-out and slightly off white (think almost cream) more glossy finished rubber that lends well to an understated vintage aesthetic. As it stands right now, these are totally worth the additional cost.

Love my Chucks!The style on these '70's Ox are so dope, and they are comfortable to boot. I always look forward to wearing them.

I love these Converse shoes. They are comfortable and they fit well. I usually wear a size 11W and I was concerned when I saw that they did not have wide sizes, but I took a chance, ordered a size 11½ to compensate for my wide feet, and that fit comfortably. No problem fitting my wide, flat feet. I am so glad that I bought them.
