It should go without saying that Hoka offers the most heavily cushioned running shoes on the market. After all, they were created to rescue runners from the minimalist fad and the injuries that often result from it. After pounding the pavement for more than 30 years, superior cushioning has become a priority, and the Hoka's more than fit the bill; better than any other running shoe I've ever worn, and I've tried a ton of them. They do take a little while to get used to, however. The first few runs were a little odd because I could hardly feel the road. That was a little disconcerting at first. Of course only time will tell how well they hold up, but so far I love my Hoka One One Bondi 3's.

So I bought these after my boss had these and I put on a bit more weight than I wanted. I was loyal to the Kinvara 4s from Saucony, but they were wearing me out. Great for speed work, not so much after a while for distance. So after a lot of thought and questioning my self esteem I went for the Hokas. Right off the bat (no disrespect to the Hoka Folks) they are the ugliest thing I have seen next to the Shape Ups. But after I tried the Hokas and others like them, I was sold on the Hoka One One Bondi. My appearances be damned. These shoes have brought the fun back to running. They are like strapping a memory foam mattress to your feet and going out to run on marshmallows. Truly awesome. I will say the soles of the shoe have worn out quickly. I have run in minimalist shoes for a while and managed to strike with my mid foot, the Hokas accentuate that and they have worn down right at the mid foot. The other areas of the shoe are pristine. You could eat from them as there is absolutely no wear? I am going to buy the Clifton. They are just as light as the Kinvara with 4000 times the cushion and the comfort. Thankyou Hoka....you are my new running religion.

I've been running for over 30 years, and have tried many running shoes. For the last 14 years or so, I've been a die-hard ADIDAS runner... but recently I've had a knee issue, and I heard someone talking about how the Hokas were "easy on the knees". I bought a pair, and WOW! I was impressed enough to purchase another pair off of Zappos. They were delivered within a few days. I was, and still am impressed. For me, they fit 1-size smaller than the ADIDAS.

I loved the Bondi 2! Bondi 3 is a great step forward! I don't know why people complain about the tongue. It's the same tongue in other hokas. Bondi 2 had more of your typical shoes tongue. These are your typical shoes. They are a bit more narrow than the 2 but no complaints here.

I love these shoes. They are my 5th pair of Hokas. As a 45 year old runner, you cannot beat the comfort. These shoes really limit the wear and tear on my back.

Light weight, draw string shoe laces that allow tight fit to foot. Excellent shock absorbing base Feel stiff when you put on but actually very comfortable for all day wear recommend especially if overweight

I'm not a runner, but these are the most comfortable shoes I own. This was my second pair. I tried to go back to my Brooks, but they just didn't work any more; made my hips and knees hurt again. I stand up to 13 hours at work and they really made a difference. Would probably last longer if they were available in wider widths. Everyone comments on how cool they look.

I'm coming off a tear/pull hamstring injury. These shoes feel like I'm floating on air. They are light and very comfortable. I work out a lot in the gym since my injury and I have to admit the soles have great traction in the gym and on the streets. I was a bit "iffy" on the price, but they are worth it.

This shoe is amazing to run in. It does seem to 'break down' quicker than my pair of Asics that I usually run in...but the light weight of these are excellent for long runs. The toe box is a little big.

These shoes are super comfortable, felt about 1/2 size big...but (and I know this will sound shallow) they were just ugly. I'm okay with cool ugly, but these didn't make it over that bar.
Sadly, I'm returning.

These shoes could have been perfect. The cushioning under the ball of the foot is amazing. Unfortunately, the heel cushioning is much firmer. It's good but not great for heel strike. The arch is good and the shoes are light weight considering the size of the soles.

I have had 3 pairs of Bondi 2s, and this is the Bondi 3. It has been a rockier transition than expected. Very happy with the Bondi 2s in most respects, especially the cushioning. My main concern had been that the uppers don't hold together well, and that the shoes get very squelchy in the summer. The uppers on the Bondi 3 certainly sturdier, entirely new fabric. But there's the rub, literally. I've found that the shoe rubs uncomfortably on the bottom of my ankle. I hope that will pass. The sole feels good, but firmer than the Bondi 2. And the tongue is thinner and less cushy than the Bondi 2. These are okay, but I think I'm going to stick to my old Bondi 2s for my upcoming marathon.

Had high hopes, but they were dashed. I have a wide 9.5 4E foot, but can wear a 2E in some brands and in extreme cases a regular width if I size up. The cushioning on these were great, but far to narrow at the toe box. Oh Hoka, when will you help out the more duck-footed of us? If you want a maximalist shoe with decent width, try the Altra Olympus and avoid Hoka.

I really liked this shoe at first. The extra cushioning is exactly what I needed after two knee surgeries for torn meniscus. However...after running in them several times, I've come across what I think is a major design flaw. There's no cutout on the back of the heel cup, so the back of my ankle is now thoroughly blistered and shredded from the shoe chafing and digging into it. Basically, to the point where I can't wear them now. I have some Stinson Trails, which have a cutout in the back of the heal cup. Why they designed the Bondi 3 without a cutout is beyond me. Would be a great shoe, if not for this major flaw.

I have a foot condition known as "morton's toe," so I have foot pain. These shoes do have more cushioning than I have ever experienced, but alas, not enough to eliminate my foot pain. Also, two months in to owning these for daily walking, pieces of the sole started coming unglued. Why they would glue on separate pieces to a high friction surface like the sole is beyond me. Thank God for Zappos return policy, I'm going to try the Altra Olympus shoe.
