straight out of the box they fit great. I love the ''throat'' that is open to accept my foot when putting them on. I don't need to get down and stretch them open when new like many boots. Like my other scarpa boots the laces are very wimpy and will need to be changed.

This is a light duty hiking boot that should be OK if one stays on the trail. Going through talus covered slopes or other rocky terrain I would not expect them to hold up as well as heavier boots.
The speed lacing works very well and this is not common with hiking boots. Good coverage by the tongue to keep debris out.
I wear a C width and these boots in a D width are snug. They also were a tad short with a heavy weight hiking sock but should break-in over time.
The arch support is adequate though the arch area is at the same level as the heel section which is not ideal.
The sole lugs are not very pronounced so I do not expect them to last as long as my Solomon or Timberland boots.

Real solid boot with nice features with decent support and appears durable. I liked the support and solidity of the Oboz Bridger BDRY a little more. This boot is much better than the Timberland Earthkeepers however. I ordered about 20 pairs of various boots to see which were the overall best for me. I have overpronation, and find it difficult to find a good fitting boot. The Scarpa Terra GTZ was among the better of those, although it lacked the support of the OBOZ.

Overall I like these boots. The tongue provides good closure to keep trail stuff out and the speed lacing works quite well although the cheap laces used are not going to last long.
My foot is a C width and the D Scarpa boots are snug with a normal hiking sock. The arch support is non existent and the sole itself provide as much protection when on rocky ground as boat shoes.
As with so many boots I took out the very cheap insoles and put in a pair of $27 Powerstep Pinnacle shoe insoles. So the real cost for the boots was $225 and as such they are not a good deal at all.
Next time I will buy Solomon boots which are the only ones that provide excellent arch support and sole protection right out of the box

I would best describe these boots suitable for a person who will never venture far from a hard surface or gravel path.
For starters, the tongue of the boot is a non leather material along with subpar laces. The fit of this boot seems as though the boot last was not up to specification. Very narrow in the toe box and loose in the heel. With the help of a shoe tree to stretch the toe box. I'm able to wear these boots without discomfort.

Initially, I was really excited about these boots. However, I'm a lot less satisfied than I thought I would be. I rarely ever have to scale up in size, but I definitely recommend buying a half size up in this boot. My biggest complaint is that I can't get a good ankle lock. The boot lacks a set back ankle rivet gromit thing (sorry, I don't know the nomenclature). That doesn't allow for a good ankle lock. I'll have to experiment with some creative boot lacing to see if I can get a good ankle lock that way. The boot does not have a removable insole which is strange and will likely be inconvenient in the future. Lastly, these boots make my feet sweat a lot. I suspect it's due to the Goretex lining.

Style and fit was okay however I feel the overall quality is suspect for a hiking boot.
The boot has an odd seam on the inside side that will probably leak over time. The tongue seemed thin and too soft to be durable and the boot is too flexible fory use. I think Zamberlan is a better boot.

I bought these boots after the last 2 + years wearing my asolo boots. I expected about the same feel but these are not even close. The metal rivets for the laces dig into my toes/feet, so that's not good. Also, they slip on my heels when walking. I cannot tighten the laces any more so I tried to replace the footbed (extra $40) with no luck. I regret the purchase that I made and should have bought another brand. These should be sold for $99 at the big box sporting goods store, not what I expected at all.
