The inside finish on the pair I received was terrible. Very rough and scratchy. I put them on and took them off right away and had marks on the tops of my feet. They also had very little arch support for my high arches. The fact that the center strip also moved around on the front strap was annoying. I could see myself having to constantly have to readjust them. These went back.

I was very disappointed with this sandal. Vionic is known for its arch support. This sandal offered minimal support. The arch was soft and broke down after wearing for 2 days just for shopping!

Shoe is attractive. Arch was too high for me and the straps didn't adjust to look nice. Had to return

Originally, I was very happy with this sandal. I have a very difficult time finding shoes that fit well and are comfortable with all the walking I do traveling. Just after a year, the deorative piece on one of the shoes broke off...I didn't even realize it until I went to take them off. Very disappointed in the quality of that part of the shoe given that I had only worn them 10 or 12 times.

After a month of constant use, the velcro on one strap detached. I am going to see if I can return the item even though I used it. Very disappointing as the shoe itself has been quite comfortable and supports my heal and high arches well.

Great little shoe but the heel bed is too wide for my narrow heel and I was afraid I wasn't going to get the support I really need.

I have mixed feelings about these sandals. They are very comfortable and I found the arch support to be really good. I have some Superfeet flip-flops (now discontinued) that have slightly better arch support, but I wanted sandals with a back strap so I wouldn't grip with my toes like I do with flip-flops. These sandals worked out well for that, and they are really comfortable.
However, the durability of these shoes is really lacking. I should mention that I ordered them about a year ago and have worn them probably 95%+ of the days since I got them. (I live in a warm climate.) In the last couple weeks, the velcro on one of the straps started to give out. It just will not stay attached for more than about 5 steps. The material on the insole started breaking down a couple months ago. I finally gave up on them this morning. So they only lasted me about a year. I'm not the kind of person who buys tons of shoes; I expect what I buy to last longer than a year. The aforementioned flip-flops are still going strong after about 3 years of nearly constant wear. I think these would have lasted longer if they had buckles instead of velcro.
My other problem with these shoes is the styling. All of the color choices are just too shiny/flashy/bling for my taste. And yet, the velcro, to me, makes them look like they're meant for the geriatric population. It's an odd combination. Obviously I was able to overlook their appearance since I wore them almost constantly, but I would have preferred real leather (not faux shiny stuff) and buckles.

I have a high arch and often find sandals too tight but not these!
The biggest problem I have with this shoe is the ankle strap-- absolutely no way to get it snug enough. And all those waving hook and loop tape ends sticking out everywhere, since all the straps are so excessively long, make it look decidedly untidy.
But the foot bed is also a bit large for the size (11w--since my foot is an 11 1/2 wide this should have fit as per the recommendations but it was very big.) I had a good extra 1/4 inch on either side of the ball of my foot just standing on the footbed and about 5/8 inch extra length at the toe.
The footbed also seems very hard and not at all supportive to me. Even just standing and taking a few steps, the hard sole was punishing to my arthritic first metatarsals and I can see even if the shoe had fit, this sole is not for me.
If this is how Vionics run, I'll stick with something else like the other sandals I decided to try this order, from Romika. They seem to fit perfectly.

Great arch support and I like the style, but I have an issue with the Velcro. The Velcro on the strap that goes around the heel is always coming loose which means the strap is dangling off the back of the shoe.

I loved the way my foot felt on the footbed but the straps were way to stiff and the Velcro adjustments just didn't do it because the leather was so stiff. returning this one

Man, I really wanted to like these. I debated whether to keep them or not because if I kept them I was then taking a chance that they just needed a 'break in period'. However I'm not a wealthy person (so I can't just waste money on a pair of shoes if they don't work out) and I'm not a fan of breaking in shoes so back they went. What I liked about them was the arch support, they actually fit my feet (with all of my feets issues!) and they were dressy enough to wear for more than one type of outing. What I didn't like was the stiffness of the material (I mean really, really stiff and uncomfortable) and the sole was harder than Birkenstocks. About my feet: My shoe size is 8W and 8.5WW with a narrow heel but very wide toe area with short toes (Duck feet) and a high arch. I have issues with my nerves, joints and muscles so fitting well is a must. Thank you Zappos for your generous ability to try/return as many pairs as needed for me to find a pair that will work for my problem feet!

The shoe is very comfortable, but I were a 9 N,
the straps are hard, long and rub against the skin.
I am taking them to shoe maker to see if may be cut. They need to be made more narrow.

I have several pair of Vionic shoes and love the arch support. I have been looking for a sandal with back strap, as I no longer have enough grip to keep on backless shoes. I was delighted when I came across the Amber and ordered half size down from my usual 6 1/2, as directed. The length of the size 6 was perfect. However, the adjustable straps were too short to allow me to widen the fit to accommodate my high insteps. A lot of Velcro showed, and that was unattractive. With the little bit of the straps that were still connected together, I was afraid they would keep coming open as I walked. I know from past experience that ordering a Wide does not work, as the foot bed is then too wide. I am truly sorry the Amber did not work for me. I really like the way the shoe looks and had looked forward to wearing it this summer. Bummer. If you don't have high insteps, you'll probably like this shoe.

I wish Vionic would make some of their sandals in Narrow widths. Even with the adjustable straps, this shoe is far too wide for my size 8N feet. I am disappointed to have to send these back because the footbed feels wonderful and gives terrific support.

This is an incredibly comfortable sandal, especially for my high arch aching feet. Unfortunately, in person it is not nearly as attractive - the sole looks like a two-toned sport sandal which doesn't go with a casual dress or skirt in the least. The material and pattern of the straps (shiny tortoise shell) seemed incongruous with a sport sole.

I am used to Merrell shoes and thought I'd try Vionic. I find that the arch is higher on one side than Merrell and my foot is leaning to the outside of the shoe, on the down side of the arch. I am disappointed because Vionic is more stylish than most of the Merrell sandals.

I already have 4 pairs of Vionic shoes, all size 11, all fit very comfortably. These shoes were way too small. Too narrow and too short. I am surprised as the other Vionic shoes fit well. Perhaps they were mismarked. It's a return for these pretty sandals!

I bought these shoes since I developed plantar fasciitis and this brand was recommended. Well, at first they seemed to help, but the more I've worn them the less I feel they have helped my heel, plus they're too narrow and too long. I've adjusted the straps as best as I can, but by the end of the day I am so relieved to take them off. Just too tight across my foot. Disappointed that they don't provide the relief I need, and if anything cause other foot issues.

I love the arch support, but these sandals did not hold up as well as my other Vionic sandals. The finish on my navy pair wore off after about a month of wear (not every day wear either). The Velcro is in odd places too. The strap around my heel laps over the straps on the side. I need the arch support so I have kept wearing these, but I have to say they are just so-so. Vionic quality on my other sandals is better.

I needed a comfortable walking shoe for vacation. This one will have to do. I tried several different Vionic but the overall footbed is hard. They rub in a few places but with bandaides they should work.

I bought these sandals for comfort, so they do quite well. The footbed, although a little wide, is superbly cushioned. The velcro straps are long, unwieldy and dominate the look of the sandal. I've been told the shoes look a bit like duck feet, which is disappointing, but they are comfortable so I will be wearing them all summer long.

I agree with Kales. Since Orthoheel was sold the quality isn' the same. The velcro doesn't last, making it impossible to wear.

I have a very high arch and usually wear a 8 1/2 -- these were going to be my answer to getting out of Teva's 24/7. Super comfortable, and I love that all the bands can be adjusted with velcro, making the fit just right for whoever wants them. However, after wearing them around the house a bit, I realized that the wonderful arch support was a bit high -- meaning that it hit higher up on my arch than where my arch actually is. I think they are probably wonderful shoes, just not for my feet. Style? Old lady looking, sadly...but if they are comfortable, who cares? However, due to the arch thing, they are going back.

I wear an 8.5 to 9 in most shoes/sandals, and I always order the 9 when I am trying a new manufacturer. I accidentally ordered this in a Wide. BIG mistake. They were H U G E. I could probably wear an 8 in this sandal. They would probably be very comfortable if I had the right size on. I got the "pearlized white" color which was a disappointment as well. To me, it gave the sandal a cheap look. Returned, no hassles. Love Zappos service.

First off, I ordered these in pearlized white. They are not white, they look more like 'metallic ivory' in person. The fact that the little metal tiles down the top actually ARE white makes the situation more obvious. Then there's the length. They fit great from the heel to the ball of my foot. From there they stuck way out past the ends of my toes. I really wish the company would make 1/2 sizes! These are going back.
