Really deserves 5 stars. This is one of the most comfortable pairs of sandals I have ever owned. I walked all over the UK last summer in them with plantar fasciitis, and by the time I came home that misery was gone. The footbed was magical, and the four points of adjustment allowed for a perfect fit. I ordered a second pair this year in another color for variety. Same level of comfort. That being said...1) These shoes are not the most elegant. They are a bit on the chunky side. However, if you are a person who generally can't wear a pair of sandals due to painful foot conditions, give them a try. They are "reasonably" stylish and wonderful for those of us usually forced to wear ugly shoes for the comfort and support they provide. 2) The style of the bottom of the sole changed this year. After a 5 day family trip to Disney World and all of the walking that entailed, I can attest to the fact that the change did not affect the comfort of the sandal in any way. But I am disappointed. The bottom of the sole of last summer's model was a stunning two-tone floral pattern that I absolutely loved. It was the only beautiful design element of the shoe. Now the sole is fashioned into a design that is reminiscent of waves. Nothing wrong with it, but it is just ordinary. If not for this style change, these shoes easily rise to the level of five stars in my book. I definitely recommend them. Fyi, I have fairly wide feet with a higher instep and the adjustment straps on the medium width shoe are generous. These would likely be fine on a wider foot, but I'm not sure how they'd work on a narrow one.

I bought these sandals a little over a month ago in Blue - 9 wide. I am very glad I went the wide width. I found they were comfortable right from the beginning. I also like the idea you can remove the buttons, by sliding off the button strip. It just gives it a little different look. This shoe is comfortable as the arch fits my feet perfectly and the straps are comfortable across the foot, and adjustable as well. I do wish they would make this sandal with about a 1.5-2" heel. SImilar to sandals you used to sell about 5 years ago. A little heel helps alieviate any back and knee pain I get. I've always have great luck with the Vionic sandals, over the closed toe shoes.
