I had the original version of these in the early 90's, and I'm so happy these are back! Super light weight, like they're not even there, and now in so many cute colors. I bought the size I wear in running shoes, and although I have some space in front of my feet, they fit fine and actually make my feet look smaller than they are. They are very flattering with shorts, pants and skorts.

They felt true to width, but I have wider feet, so the thing between the toes pulls toward the outside edge of the foot and rubs the second toe. I really wish shoe manufacturers made narrow, regular, and wide widths in all styles since no two feet are the same. These shoes have a lot of great qualities, so I may keep them anyway. They stay secure in place on the foot, they don't flop around. They have great texture to the sole and the insole, so great traction, unlike most flat sandals. If it weren't for that rubbing caused by my wide foot, they'd be super comfortable. All that and they look really cute on!

Oh, these take me back! Right back to 1991, when I ordered my first Tevas ever, back when no one had them - though Birkenstocks were getting popular - and I had to order them from REI! They made my last semester of college a joy! Comfort! Toes not constricted! Oh, they were bliss. (Those were Universals, which we would wear with socks. Awesome. And mine were hot pink with some tribal pattern. Dear me!) These make me just as happy. I love the thong version, which I did not have in the previous millenium, and now I have a nice sober whitish-greige color. The fit is good ole Teva. I size down with these - a size six is ample, especially since I have a wide forefoot and a slender ankle. No problem at all with the ankle strap. Flexible and cushy, and none of that nonsense about arch support - our feet support themselves, and they're flipflops, for goodness sake. (Another reviewer mentions Chacos - those things are like boards.) And I just laugh whenever I see them! Tevas! Oh, nostalgie!
