LOVE THESE SOOO MUCH. I get compliments on them constantly, and it's something I can wear that nearly gives a high-heel look because of the closed toe and semi-closed heel. They're strappy, fun, go with everything, and oh-so-comfty. I wish I bought two. ;)

Very comfortable...I've even been wearing them as golf shoes!

Love this shoe, my second pair. It's perfect for travel...looks great with shorts, pants, skirts and dresses. My old ones I use for short hikes, walking on the beach and kayaking..

this pair was just too tight over the knuckles/ across the top of my foot and although the neoprene toe has some give there, the nylon stitching near the lower edge of the neoprene cap is not going to allow if to stretch at all there...my foot is not slender, but I have always worn a medium width, even in earlier pairs of this style by Teva (6 yrs ago) I love the low profile design and overall streamlined look of this sandal that can also take getting wet. The ankle strap has a bit of elastic at one end to allow for some comfortable ease as your ankle flexes. The very spongy inner sole is wonderful, and has an added crash heel area for even more comfort on heavy days of walking...! for this reason, I want to see if a 1/2 size up will do the trick!

Stylish & attractive. Ankle strap no problem for me. I have narrow feet and these fit as they should.

The Teva Northwester is a very comfortable shoe. I wear an 8 and bought an 8 and it is perfect. I do agree with others that it might be a problem for some people who have a bigger ankle. The strap is not adjustable but is fine for me.

I loves these shoes. Have them in two colors now. They go anywhere. Always comfortable. Buy these.

I bought these because I needed some closed toe sandals, and I love my Teva Original Sandals. I like that these are really cute and lightweight. However, the strap that goes across the top of the foot is not adjustable, and it's a little bit too tight on me. I'm sure it would loosen up with wear, but I didn't want to chance it, so I'm reluctantly returning these.

I saw a woman in the airport wearing these shoes! Could not get to her fast enough to find out the brand, but sleuthing at Zappos uncovered these cuties. I love them! They are cute, comfortable, stylish. I bought a second back up pair for when these wear out! I typically wear a 10 - 11. The 11s fit.

My favorite new shoes! These are nice enough that I can wear them with dresses & skirts and casual enough to wear with jeans, leggings etc. They look like Mary Jane flats, but I can go hiking in them, wear them to the beach (they can get wet) and the gray & black color goes with everything. I think I'll be wearing these all summer long. I'm buying a second pair for my daughter since she wants a pair of her own.

I bought these last year and will be wearing them every day for a second summer. They replaced a similar Teva mary jane that I was disappointed not to find any longer, but these are even better. The wide toe box means that they fit me. Yes, the strap is loose, but it provides just enough security to keep the shoe on my foot when walking. (They will not stay on for me if I put the strap behind the heel - I have never been able to keep a ballerina flat on my foot.) The fabric that wraps up along the outside of the toe box provides some useful structure without being restrictive. It would be nice to have an airy, unlined mesh - my feet can get a little hot in these. Aside from that, they are like sandals but with toe covering that prevents the pedicure-obsessed from feeling scorn at my nude toenails.

Not as sturdy as my other Teva sandals, but comfortable and cute nevertheless. Not for long distance walking, as less support, but great for shopping, beaching it, etc. Overall, awesome sandal.

Rarely have I received more compliments than I have with these shoes. I purchased them for water use, but wear them around the city all of the time. Love them!

These are great shoes, can be worn with the instep strap as shown or behind the heel. Good for walking but just for everyday wear too.

I love this shoes! They are Teva comfortable but also stylish. I have received more compliments from these than any other shoe. I am always asked: Where did you get those shoes? I originally ordered an 8.5 but the ankle strap was a big too snug. Got a 9 and they are perfect.

These are really comfortable and cute. They seem true to size. The mesh toe makes them too casual for the office, but I may keep them to wear on my commute and to the park with my kids. The footbed feels like a firm type of rubber, but is supportive and completely waterproof, so getting caught in the rain won't destroy these. The ankle strap is not adjustable, but has elastic on the side for some give. The strap on the right shoe rubs a tendon on top of my foot slightly when I walk, but I don't know if it's enough to bother me or not. All the women in my office liked these on my feet and were surprised to hear I wear a size 10. I guess that means they make my feet look smaller! I would recommend these to someone as cute, comfy, casual shoes with good traction and decent support. I should mention I have a high arch, so women with low arches or flat feet may not find these as comfortable.

So cute! Just got these yesterday. They are comfortable and light. Perfect with a sundress or yoga pants or walking shorts. I tend to live in flip flops in the summer. These are for those days when the pedi needs help or if you want just a little more on your feet. So happy these came back in stock.

These are the best travel shoes ever! I have traveled extensively through Asia, Europe and the Americas with a small back and these comfortable and versatile shoes were a life saver. I wore them on long walks, kayaking and biking and they were even cute enough to wear out to dinner with a sundress. They wash off nicely. My foot is wide at the front with a narrow heel - which often translates to blisters, but my feet never got sore with these. I wore them so much over the last year and a half that I am now buying my second pair.

My daughter needed some good walking shoes for our trip to London and Italy this summer. They needed to be comfortable, sturdy, and fashionable. These Tevas rocked on all counts! We were warned about the need for good shoes for the cobblestone streets in Italy many times. Well, the Northwaters held up beautifully. My daughter never experienced any discomfort, and we walked A LOT on our trip. I would highly recommend these shoes.

These shoes are fantastic! Well worth the money. Great flexibility and shock-absorbency in the heel, and they can easily be wiped/rinsed clean. I bought these to wear at the Bonnaroo music festival, which is a lot of walking over four days, and they were perfect! They were a dusty, dirty mess when I got home, but a good rinse and air-dry brought them back to good as new! My feet never got sore or developed any blisters or discomfort. The openness of the design keeps your feet nice and cool, and they dry quickly after getting wet. Highly recommend!

I love these shoes. I bought them before a 10-day trip to Japan on a whim and I ended up wearing them every day on the trip, in which we did a lot of walking around the cities and hiking up mountains. They were incredibly comfortable for my feet, especially since I have virtually no arches. I've received many compliments on how cute they are too. I've decided it's well worth buying a second pair. The only downside: I noticed, several days into the Japan trip, both the shoes and my feet started to smell like stinky rubber. But this probably had more to do with the amount of walking we were doing, and the exposure to dust, sweat, and dirt. A good rinse with water takes care of that issue.

These were comfortable right out of the box. I wore them for several hours the first day, with lots of walking and standing. The next day I wore them, again for several hours, and the heel did start to rub a little bit. I am a true 8.5 and these just fit, my big toe pushes on the front of the shoe but I'm sure a 9 would be too big. The ankle strap is very comfortable, not too tight. Overall, I really like them, they are cute and comfortable.

Wonderful shoe...my second pair...need a half size larger than usual. Love the style, more streamlined than clunky. Many compliments from others, and questions about the brand. Of course, I also mention Zappos!
