As with any Dansko shoe there is great arch support offered in this sneaker. But the hard stiffness of their clogs is left behind, and all the comforts of a sneaker come out. As a nurse who works 10 shifts and stands for most of it I would suggest these to anyone who needs comfort for long periods of times standing. I cannot wear the Dansko clogs as they literally make me cry in pain but their sneakers are great! 2 of my co-workers already got a pair for themselves and they both love them as much as me. I am only giving them 4 stars because I wish the color selection/style of the shoe was more current. Also I have a very wide foot and these fit fine.

I have very high arches and a small shoe size that makes it almost impossible to find adult shoes that fit. After two weeks of standing all day in cheap children's shoes, I invested in these. The size is still a little long, but the arch support is exactly where I need it. My back and foot pain decreased dramatically! I wish that the arch support was a little higher, and after a month of working every day in these shoes, they feel like they have stretched a bit in the width. The light grey color hasn't stayed as clean looking as I'd like, but I have much more praise than complaints. I would suggest that anyone with high arches get a pair of these. Your feet will thank you!

Love these shoes. Dansko quality without the weight of some clogs. I do not need my orthotics with them. So far the only negative is that they are a bit wide around the ankle. No way to make them tighter.

I work on my feet all day and these shoes are very comfortable. I tried lots of other athletic shoes and different kinds of insoles and these shoes are the best I've found yet. My feet used to ache everyday after work and every morning when I woke up and these have helped reduce that tremendously. I would recommend wearing a thinner sock with them though, but that's what works for me.

If you're looking for the excellent arch support you get from Dansko in an athletic-style shoe, this is it. However, the toe box is a bit too tight with little wiggle room. Kept them anyway because I couldn't find anything better that wasn't a white old-lady-style walking shoe.

Love the look and has the dansko comfort, arch feels a little higher though. Toe box needs to be a little wider. I'm trying to stretch mine.

I was looking for a dark pair of athletic shoes to wear following ankle surgery. These fit the bill. Not the most supportive for my flat feet but decent support. In a running store they would have fit me a half size up. However, I bought these for looks, not exercise. Very light weight. And they don't rub the surgical area. Stylish.

I was impressed with these shoes from the first time I put them on. I have a high arch and have a difficult time finding shoes which actually have an arch that doesn't leave space between it and my own. This one is very comfortable and I can wear it for long periods of time. I did buy a size longer than I normally wear, and there seems to be slightly more room than needed in the toe area, but still a great fit.

Front part of shoe did not fit my feet. Nice looking shoes though. My feet are more square on the front so I don't know if a shoe will work until I try them on.

I wanted these to work soooo badly. You have no idea how much I wanted them to. I have worn Dansko for years and always been happy with the fit of their clogs, mules, and sandals. Unfortunately, these sneakers are too tight/narrow in the ball of the foot. I think they are cute (which is saying something considering the size of my foot!) and would have been so happy with the appearance/colors. It saddens me to have to return them.

Nice looking shoe. The heel area feels hard. I have plantar fasciitis and was hoping it would be a softer heel bed.

These are not as supportive as the Dansko Chantal, but of course that doesn't become apparent on my problem feet until half-way through the day. Unfortunately, the Chantal are not breathable. I was hoping for something that I could wear walking about when it wasn't the dead of winter. Alas.

This was the first pair of Dansko's (I have eight pair) that have not fit me -- they are incredibly wide and not supportive in the way I'm accustomed to having my Dansko's fit: the arch support was strangely off. An immediate "no," and a quick return. Too bad, as I really liked the styling.

I found the shoe a bit hard. I added 2 pads inside the shoe. Now comfortable. I would have returned them but already wore them outside.

I usually love Danskos and my feet are hard to fit, due to arthritis and multiple surgeries. However, these tennis shoes (Schyler), are going back. The toe box is way too tight, and yet the heel slips ALOT. So, it is not like I can get a bigger pair, there would be no heel support, nor can I get a smaller pair, as my toes would be scrunched. These are just not worth the money or the hassle. I went to a local mall, and in 10 minutes, found a pair,of Asics, tha fit better, look very similar, and cost 2/3 as much. Problem solved!

Loved the grey/orange color scheme. Ordered my normal size 39 even though others said to size up & found it slightly long. I also found the foot bed somewhat hard.

After starting to have issues with the brand of athletic shoes I've always worn for my high arches and Plantar Faciatis, I looked to see if my favorite and most supportive clog brand, Dansko, offered an athletic shoe as well. I was thrilled to find these, they are pretty cute and I was very hopeful I could quickly resume my workout schedule that I'd had to shy away from due to foot pain. The shoes are actually cuter in person than online and I was relieved because while I am middle aged, I'm not an old lady and I am not ready to wear shoes that scream ORTHOTIC. Sadly though, they just didn't fit me right. The tongue feels shorter than most athletic shoes and the collar is not as padded as I'm used to and this caused the right foot to slip so much that I was worried I'd end up with blisters. I considered getting a pad to prevent it, but honestly for the cost I feel they should be PERFECT. I also didn't feel the support was quite what I've come to expect from Dansko. These may be wonderful for you, but they just did not work for me.

As a long time Dansko fan I was so excited to see Dansko tennis shoes, but then very disappointed when they arrived. They do not have any of the clog style support that is the reason I am so loyal to Dansko. They are a basic tennis shoe you could buy from anyone. They may have a slightly more supportive insole but the shoe structure is no different than any other brand. So disappointed I will have to return these.

Such cute casual/athletic shoes: I would LOVE to be able to keep these shoes, but they are a bit too narrow and short at the toes. I ordered the same size 40 that I wear in Dansko clogs, but the forefoot is styled with much less room in the toe box - tapered and more shallow. The arch is in the same place as my Dansko clogs and felt so good. I really wish these had worked out.

I love Dansko clogs. These are the second pair of sneakers I've tried from Dansko. They are not comfortable. Too narrow and too shallow in the toe box.

As some have said, I really wanted to love this sneaker. I have at least 6 pair of Dansko shoes -- open back, closed back clogs and a pair of sandals. One pair I have is 6 years old and I still wear it several times a week. Comfortable as always. I have severe arthritis in my big toe. Flexing it is very painful & the Dansko clogs make my work days so much better. Unfortunately the Dansko sneakers do not offer anywhere near the same comfort. I've worn them to work twice and both times came home limping from the pain in my foot. I have high heels that are more comfortable in an 8 hour office day than these sneakers. What a shame! I use my wellness money to buy sneakers I thought I could go walking in at lunchtime. That's not going to happen. I tried thicker socks...no improvement. I cannot wear these sneakers to work, or to walk, or to shop, or even to sit at my desk. While I would heartily recommend Dansko clogs, I'd advise anyone with sensitive feet to avoid these shoes at all costs.

I fell in love with these as soon as I took them out of the box and put them on, they are cute and comfortable! I am a nurse, and have tried every size and style of Dansko clog known to man, but I could not find any that would fit my high instep. These shoes were the perfect solution of support and fit with the adjustable lacing of athletic shoes. The only thing that I did not like was that the outsole squeaked horribly on everything but carpet. That is not a nice feature for a registered nurse working the night shift. Sadly, they have been returned.

I ordered, but returned this shoe. The arch of the shoe hit me in the wrong place which happens often for me with shoes. Visually, the arch didn't look unusual but when I put the shoe on, it felt like I had a golf ball in my shoe! It was such a significant "knob" and in totally the wrong spot for me. I'm still looking for a workable athletic shoe.

I have been plagued with fallen arches and plantar fasciitis since November of last year. I used to wear Dansko clogs for work/home from 1996-2011. I have had two babies since 2011, and my feet have changed and I have not been able to wear the clogs as I would like. After working long hours as a nurse, sometimes I want to cry because my feet ache/throb so badly. I was so hoping that these shoes would provide me with much better arch support to help out with my current problems - unfortunately, I could tell immediately after lacing them up that the arch support was not there - and for the price, I could not risk wearing them as I would have liked. The one positive - as always - Zappos has a wonderful customer service department and return policy.

These shoes are way too wide...I compared them to three other pairs of normal width shoes, and they are about a half an inch wider, all the way back through the heel. They also feel about a half a size too small. I got a 39 for 8.5-9 (I wear an 8.5), and they were too small.These are definitely not normal width shoes. I even tried them with heavy socks on and my feet were sliding side to side in the shoes, and it looked like I was wearing my dad's shoes. Going back!
