I love the original look. I've had my old ones for 15 years. Time to buy a new pair but was disappointed. The sole was not as sturdy and the sandle is not a molded fit like the true original. This is a much cheaper version. I doubt it will last 15 years.

odd fit. even though the straps are adjustable, the front outer corner by the little toes are kind of narrowly placed and rub on the top of the foot. so my son went up a 1/2 size to avoid a problem there, but then the whole shoe was really too long and flappy for his foot. sadly need to return. thank you Zappos for your customer service!

I was SO excited to buy these. I wanted trendy, waterproof sandalsand they ARE CUTE. However, these sandals rub the side of my toes and it hurts so bad to wear them. I don't want to return them because I'm hoping it may just be a "breaking them in" issue, so we'll see.

I did not like these sandals. The footbed felt flat and cheap.I have touchy feet and am overweight, so that might have a lot to do with why I didn't like them. The flowers on the straps were cute. They run true to size. But I will stick with the Vera style, more support.

The sandals are mostly great. Comfortable. Simple. Look... fine. Kind of classic. But I have size 13 feet, and it is fairly obvious that they haven't done anything to account for the fact that on larger sizes, you have more unsupported footbed extending out from where the straps secure across the top/front of your foot. This means that you have a large flap of unsupported, semi-flimsy rubber under your toes, and there is a huge risk of catching that flap of rubber on the ground or a sidewalk, and tripping or stubbing your toes. Also, this means that the top of the sandal, right under your toes, gets abraded, and that the front "edge" of the sandal takes a lot of abuse, and delaminates over time. When this happened to my first pair, the service was great, and they replaced them, but it is happening to my second pair after only a month or two. Yes, I have tightened the straps to keep them as close to my feet as possible, and no, I am not a generally clumsy/trippy person. It just seems that Teva has decided to simply make the footbed longer, without thickening it or adding any additional support. It's disappointing, because I otherwise love them, but I won't be ordering any more. (I'd put up a photo, but the upload process is not working.)

The straps are similar to those on the original Tevas I enjoyed in the late 80's. Unfortunately the soles on these "Original Universal" sandals are extremely thin and floppy unlike the actual original sandals.

Wow, very disappointed in the original universal that I just received today. I am returning them. My old Teva universals had a much smoother footbed. The new style are pebbly and very uncomfortable. Really wanted a new pair but know I wouldn't wear the new ones.

The sandals seemed very simply constructed and were not attractive. Returned.

Purchased before a trip 6 weeks ago. Didn't even wear everyday and the trip isn't over and the soles are splitting in half at the toe. Very unhappy with the quality. My old Tevas held strong for years without this kind of defect. And they are quite slick when walking on any kind of slippery surface outside.

The bottom of the shoe is great and very comfortable. But, the triangle plastic part at the top where the toes are, have made blister after blister. Just need something to cover it up to keep from rubbing and this shoe would be 10X better!

I absolutely was ecstatic to receive them in the mail, but only a month after wearing them once in a while, the bottom part of the shoe came off. Might have just been an error, but I was disappointed when this happened and I've had cheap knock offs for over a year that are still holding strong.

The color combination & metallic straps are so cute, but unfortunately they take a comfortable versatile sandal and make them completely unwearable. The styling is so cute and I love how these could be incorporated into less sporty outfits than your typical Tevas as they are much more fashion forward. The problem is the fabric used for the straps, it is SO stiff, abrasive, & scratchy my feet had red marks after just 5 minutes of wear around the house to try them out. The way they treated the edges of the straps is even worse, they are very hard like plastic & cut into your feet, especially on the backstrap. I tried sizing up to see if that would alleviate any of the pain but it didn't help. This strap material is a very bad & uncomfortable choice, nothing like the many pairs of Tevas I've purchased & loved. If only they had used their normal fabric! Teva please remake these with better straps because they are so darn cute!

I expected the shoe to be extremely comfortable and easy to wear. For me, the sizing just does not seem right at all

I put the TEVAs on and immediately found them comfortable - that's the good news But after only 6 weeks, the bottoms started to separate on both shoes. Emailed them but no reply yet.

I purchased these shoes for a trip to Italy. I did a lot of walking and they were by far the most comfortable sandals, however they were not glued well. After my third week on vacation the front sole started splitting in half. I'm shocked that they didn't last very long, especially for the price I paid.

Wore this daily for a week and in 4 days time the sole started to peel off on both the feet. The sandals are comfortable but it's a shame it has started to come off so soon, so won't buy again. Was about to buy for my family but steered them away based on my experience, it's not worth the money. I can buy the cheaper knock off and even they don't fall apart in 4 days.

The Original Universal is nowhere nearly as comfortable as the Midform Universal. The paet of the sole that touches the bottom of the foot is too rough. The Midform Universal style has a smooth top to the sole. I don't like the rough pebbled feel.

I have some Teva's the sole is much mor sturdy for hiking plus the inside foot pad is smooth. These are ruff on the soles of my feet. unlike my other pair. These are light weight which is nice.

At least that about this product I was excited about it because I read that it was good for walking and I bought her for Italy and after first day I got blisters and it was uncomfortable to wear. It mean loud noises while I walked and overall not happy with this show

Pros: - Very soft sole, gives enough cushioning for many hours walking on hard streets. - Cheap! - They look quite nice. Good selection in beautiful patterns and colours. Cons: - They get SO SLIPPERY when wet! Even on flat city streets (cobblestone) these have no traction at all if its raining. A stickier rubber on the outsole is needed! - Not very grippy on other terrains either, the cleats arent deep enough to provide traction on mud and other "off road" surfaces. - A little too narrow to allow natural toe spread. The sole itself is quite wide in front, but because of the way the straps are placed, they are narrower than they look. - Not zero-drop, for some strange reason the heel is elevated a little. Also has a raised arch, so they force your foot into a certain shape and does not allow foot muscles to work properly. Overall these are mostly for fashion/non-functional use, but as long as it stays dry they are surprisingly good for quite a few hours of walking on hard surfaces. Would recommend for people who want something pretty to wear on a warm, dry summers day in the city.
