I purchased this as a bridesmaids dress, but I imagine it would be a good dress for summer weddings or parties in general. I am very tall with an hourglass figure and the dress is super flattering on me. Note that it is very long, slightly past my knees, so I will likely be getting it hemmed. The dress is very full so if you're not into the Mad Men type full skirt, it's probably not for you. It also has like a boned-structured top which might be a problem if you are very busty (I'm 36D and it's tight). I'm a size 10/12 in dresses and ended up needing the XL so I'd say it runs slightly small.

After reading reviews I ordered a size up in this dress. All the reviews said the dress ran small. I am 5'5, 120 pounds and usually wear a size Small. Because of the reviews, I ordered a medium. I have bought dresses before that ran tiny and was a medium in those, so I didn't think anything of buying a bigger size. I just received the dress today and it was huge. I am going to exchange the dress for an XS. So, I disagree with everyone and actually think this dress runs true to size, if not a little big. I normally don't write reviews but think the other reviews steered me in the wrong direction!

The dress is beautiful. However, I am one more person for the "dress runs huge" camp. I am a typical Size 6 with measurements of 35 Bust, 27 waist, 37 hips. I ordered the Medium, which is stated as a U.S. Size 6. The dress was enormous. There was too much fabric everywhere in the bodice. The sides bunched out like airplane wings, and the waist was way too large for my natural waist. I am exchanging my Size Medium for a Size Small, even though I almost never wear a 4. This dress in the Medium fits me as though it is a Size 10.

I absolutely loved this! I wore it to a 1940's canteen party and got a lot of compliments. The crenilone slip recommended with purchase is a must. I took a size large (I am usually size 8) and wore my Victoria's Secret big girl bra with that makes your chest extra big. I am a 36B. 33" rib cage (this is where dresses usually are to tight for me, I like to be able to breath) 31" waist. I am long legged and short waisted so usually I am tough fit. I cannot wait to wear it again. This is not a sitting dress for a dinner party. That would not be comfortable.

Very pretty even without the petticoat. Accommodated my huge pregnant boobs and hid the bump quite effectively.

I adore this dress. I bought it to wear as my wedding dress. I wear a size 8 and bought this dress in a size 8 and it fits beautifully. I am 5'4" and the hem is a perfect length (striking between my knees and ankles, also known as tea length), absolutely perfect for what I am intending to use it for. I added my own special touches to it and could not be any happier. I am so excited! Thank you Zappos for your speedy delivery. I will shop here again.

Size up! I had to buy this dress for a wedding I'm in and all of us bought larger size than what we usually wear. It's not forgiving in the bodice but from the natural waist down it doesn't really matter because it's not form fitted there.

This dress is super static-y, so make sure to have static-cling on hand. I usually wear a size 2 and ordered the small in this dress. It needed to be tighter around the bust and the waist. I am 5'3" and the waist was also too low on me. This has potential, but did not work with my body type.

This dress is very flattering and a great party dress. I had it brought up to above the knee, which made a huge difference. There was a strong smell of moth balls when it arrived; I had to hang it outside for a couple of days. I'm happy with it and would definitely wear it again.

Very pure white! It was a little too fancy for what I had originally purchased it for, but I still love it, so I will save it for a special occasion. I'm 5'3, 130lbs, 36b cup and it fits like a glove. If I gained a couple more pounds, the top will not close. Hits way below my knee, nothing like the model picture. The only thing I don't love is that you can kind of notice the extra stuff they put at the bottom of the dress to make it puff out more.

This is a sweet feminine dress. It does however fit the average person at a tea length level, rather than just below the knee. It was substantially longer than pictured.

This dress is super cute. Very puffy in the skirt area. However I felt like it was a little too high waisted. I would have kept it if it were about one inch longer in the top. I'm 5'5" and the top barely came to the bottom of my ribs before puffing into the skirt. Great fabric though.

The dress is beautiful but does run small. I ordered a Large and it had a waist of 30 inches so I couldn't zip it up past the waist. In addition, it arrived with the packaging completely destroyed - thankfully the dress looked completely fine and all the tags were on it.

This dress is quite pretty and dainty. As another reviewer mentioned, it isn't the pink that shows up on the monitor, it is more of a rose colored pink. Definitely pretty and I liked that about it. Unfortunately I have an athletic build and did not look so hot in a dainty rose colored dress. Also, I usually wear a size 2 or 4 and I could not zip the small.

I ordered the pink color in small. It was very pretty but considerably darker than I expected. I actually liked the darker color -- it was less bubblegum pink, more mature somehow. I agree with others that the bust area is pretty small. I'm a 32D and I just managed to zip it up. It was not very comfortable to be squeezed like that, so I'm returning. Would have been cute for the intended use (bridesmaid dress).

This is a beautiful party dress that is appropriate for someone who appreciates style without being too revealing. The bodice does indeed run small as others have mentioned. You may want to purchase a size up. My only complaint is that this dress arrived scrunched and folded in a plastic bag. I had to pay $25 to have a drycleaner steam all of the horrible wrinkles out. The manufacturer should send this dress in a box. When steamed and pressed, the dress was lovely.

This dress was super cute with lots of tulle, but the sizing was just odd. I'm 5'2" and have a 36C/D bust. The XL wouldn't even fit across my chest at all (there was a gap of about 2.5" even without a bra). I'm finding that I normally wear a 2X in Unique Vintage, but, sadly, this dress doesn't appear to come in that size.

Based on the reviews I ordered up a size and the dress is so huge that I can't imagine what the correct size would look like or if it's even an option to alter it. I'm extremely busty and the bust on this one is enormous. I'm debating whether or not to exchange for the medium or just return it. Order your current dress size and go from there.

I'm 5'6", 130 lbs, and a 34C, and I couldn't zip up a size 6. I think this is made for women without boobs. The fabric also looks cheaper in person. I will be returning this.

I ordered this as a potential bridesmaid dress. It certainly had promise but is just not right. The fit is very strange for my body type. I'm big-busted (34D or DD) but the foam-formed cups are much too big for my chest. In contrast the waist was a bit small. I typically take a 6 or 8 in dresses. I ordered the large to be safe, but this is just not right. The skirt was not as full / puffy as is shown in some of the pictures (but not all of them). Overall the quality of this was not what I had hoped and I am returning it.

It went back as fast as it got here. Very cheaply made and Halloween looking outfit-like dress. Sorry, I am not going for witch contest.

I have never returned something this quickly. I barely unfolded the dress and knew it had to go back. Awful, stiff, cheap material and construction. If you really want a dress like this, it is going to cost much more than this. You get what you pay for.
