Prefer cargo pants to regular ones (so I can keep my back pockets empty - better for your back). These seem well made and durable and have enough pockets. Just wish there were more inseam lengths to choose from.

Short version of a long story - I order two pairs of these pants, one from two different vendors by accident. The pair from Zappos was great. The pair from other vendor was not. Both had the exact same Carhartt labels and product ID numbers, but were very different. The other pair was much stiffer and probably not 100% cotton. The pair from Zappos was perfect. Very comfortable and true to size.

Size is accurate. Fabric is comfortable but not for work pants. Fell apart first week. Disappointed.

They shrink when washed and then shrink some more. Stiff rough Fabric feels like sandpaper on your skin. Not roomy enough for active movements like bike writing or climbing stuff. Lots of Stray threads that were not trimmed properly (I trimmed them with scissors). After 2 months of everyday wear they developed a tear in crotch area. Cargo pockets too tight to even put fit your hands in. Color faded even more after the first few washes. The only good thing is they protect you when walking through bushes or thorns.

Beware, the color is darker than the "tan" color in the photo. The picture misrepresents the shade. The color is more like a kaki rather than a bone color as pictured.

This is the last pair of Carhartts I am buying. The sizing is utterly insane. I wear a 34/32 normally and in these I wear a 38/30? The 36's wouldn't even button and this pair of 38s is sagging in the crotch. And I can't return them because I wash everything before wearing them. They've lost a customer.
