Bought for hiking in rainy Scotland. Easy on/off over hiking boots. Even with a hiking pant underneath, felt comfortable and looked clean and even relatively slim -- not like clown pants. Stayed dry, though didn't get a chance to test in dumping rain -- just showers. . 5'6", 126, 26-27 jean; bought small. Perfect. Will happily buy a Marmot pant again.

These pants fit well and were very comfortable all through a recent walking tour. They were great for cool mornings into a warm afternoons, but might be too heavy on a very hot day even with the bottom zipped off.

Wish they offered a "short" seam but the regular worked just fine. (Maybe they're just not flattering for anyone?) Bought a pair for Patagonia and actually used the pants, which kept me warm and dry. They worked as intended, so I can't be disappointed at all.

Precip Rain pants are waterproof in a light rain. Haven't used them in a downpour yet. They run large in the waist. I gave this medium to my daughter who is 5'6" and 140. They fit her well over sweat pants.

These fit well and keep my legs dry. I live in rainy Oregon and am outdoors every day.

I tried both the Marmot and Columbia rain pants for women and ultimately chose Columbia. Positives about Marmot were the lighter, less "crunchy" fabric, lower leg zippers, and pockets. However, the inseam on the regular length fell at the top of my trail running shoes, which probably would have resulted in wet feet! I am not tall (5 ft 6 in) and was surprised that these were over an inch shorter than Columbia's, which made the difference for me. The fit was great other than length.

I can't say that I don't like these rain pants but I can't say I love them. They come in short and that is the reason I bought them. However I wish they were lined, unless I wear something under them they stick to my skin and I don't like that at all. They just need to be lined. I do recommend them to anyone need rain gear, just wear leggings under them. I didn't buy the jacket for the same reason, no lining. There are days when it's just to warm to wear leggings or something else underneath these pants. They do a great job of keeping you dry.

I bought these to keep me dry walking the dog in our neighborhood and they keep me dry and protect me from the wind. I like the zipper pockets. After reading the reviews I sized up and I wish I hadn't, they are quite baggy and a bit on the long side but they serve their purpose.

These were way too small. I would size up at least one size due to the elastic waste band being super tight.
