I wanted sandals for the summer to wear with shorts or dresses (that were not flip-flops). These sandals are perfect! They are extremely comfortable right out of the box. The first time that I wore them I did a lot of walking - I had no blisters nor tired, sore feet. They are very light so it feels as if I am not even wearing shoes! I am considering buying some other colors because I love these shoes so much!

I am currently wearing these for the first time today. I normally wear a 9.5 and it is hard to find sandals in half sizes so I have to buy them in a 10. I bought these in a 10 and was nervous they would be too big like other sandals I have bought, but they fit fine. I am worried that strap is going to rub my little toe too much, but not planning on a lot of walking in these until they are broken in. My only complaint so far is the color. The picture show a brown and these are actually tan and very neutral on my Caucasian complexion. I would have preferred them in the brown color shown, but I really needed a sandal that wasn't a flip flop.

I generally wear flats and sandals with quite little support, even for relatively long distances (2-3 miles city walking). I bought these in a salmon/red color for a trip where I'd be doing a fair amount of walking on cobblestones, etc and wanted a bit more cushioning - it was a step up in support for me, but definitely won't be for everyone. They are cute, relatively adjustable, and were comfortable for my trip. However, they have not worn particularly well - the leather has become quite discolored from the straps rubbing against each other and within 6 months the small bit of elastic at the clasp had dry rotted completely. I was pleased with the shoes for the trip, but am frustrated that they have not held up as well as I would hope.

These shoes are pretty comfortable and look cute, but the insole has a deeply debossed pattern on it, which caused me a small blister on the bottom of my foot after a full day of walking in them. If the bottom of your feet are sensitive, then this is something to watch out for. They work for a short trip out to go on errands, but I probably won't trust them for a full day of walking again.

I bought these to have something cute and comfortable to wear other than flip-flops, and I'm surprised how comfortable they are. The footbed is soft with moderate arch support, and the straps didn't give me blisters like strappy shoes usually do. I usually wear a size 8.5, and I ordered size 8 since Borns usually run a bit big and they fit great. The only issue I have is the color. I ordered the red ones and they are actually salmon colored.

Best cute but wearable strappy sandal I've ever found for my wide-toed, narrower-heeled feet. I just bought my second pair of these, after wearing the first ones into the ground. Side straps hold both sides of the toe-box securely around the widest part of my foot, and the toe strap and heel strap mean it stays on well even for clumsy folks like me who walk a lot. Footbed is padded and comfortable, though no arch support. This still isn't a real long-distance walking shoe (like Keen, Clark's, other comfort brands might make), but it's amazingly comfortable for a sandal that actually gets compliments from my more stylish friends.

I'm underwhelmed by these shoes. I ordered the tan and they're much lighter in color than pictured - appearing more yellow in person. The arch support isn't there either. Not the worst shoe, but not the best. Since they were $85, I'll probably return them.

I have been looking for the perfect Summer sandal forever! I can't wear heels and needed something that will adapt when my feet swell. Based on the reviews, I went a half size larger than what I wear. I am glad a I did. They are a little snug but being leather, I know they are going to stretch. I was concerned the straps would rub my feet raw and gladly, that's not a problem I've had. The sole is padded a little and it's super comfy for walking around, they are really light and feel great on.

Received a defective pair that Zappos replaced immediately! Love these comfy sandals that can be worn with everything!!

I purchased the Born Mai sandals in the color Light Grey, size 9. I love Born shoes and these sandals do not disappoint. I have long toes (as you can see in my attached pic) and the size 9s fit comfortably. I'm really pleased with the light grey color as they are so neutral they will look good with any color or clothes (like skirts or jeans). I have literally worn my last pair of Born sandals for over ten years (had to have the leather strap reinforced only once) and they are simply worn out. I'm grateful this similar style was available. The little heel on these new ones is hardly noticeable so don't let that stop you from purchasing these Mai sandals. I highly recommend them, especially if you are comfortable in other Born shoes. True to size.

Born is a very very good shoe..I bought these for my daughter, so she would have nice sandals for work. The quality is excellent and they are just beautiful.

I wear 7.5 shoes. I have a few pairs of Born sandals/slippers and regular shoes in 7.5 and they are fine. With this kind of sole, I order a size 8 based on my previous orders/experiences. I ordered this Born Mai in size 8, length is good, but on the whole scale, my feet swam in the shoes, therefore, I had to return. I wish Born can make more shoes in color blue or navy, it seems that there are needs for this color. Mostly, I think Zappos is such a great company with excellent customer service!

I wanted to love these. I was looking for a natural leather upper as I'm tired of hard, scratchy, uncomfortable uppers. The leather on this was very soft and supple, great. But for some reason the footbed really hurt the bottom of my heels, which I have never had before. Possibly the lump where the stitching is had something to do with it. Had to return.

This shoes are cute and look really nice but the leather loop that holds the strap down in the back broke the first time I tried it on and now it just hangs loose against the back. This shoe also makes a really obnoxious sound when I walk that I was hoping the back strap would help but it does not.

First of all I love Born and these sandals are very cute, but they are not comfortable! I always wear a size 9 and ordered a size 9, but the straps were way too loose so I ordered a size 8. The straps fit better, and the fit was ok but my toes do come right to the edge. I am sorry that I wore these now as the straps are very uncomfortable after a while of wearing them. Also, they would have been a lot better with a Velcro closure as the buckle is very difficult to use with the sandals on. Unfortunately I am very disappointed in these sandals.

These sandals are beautiful, comfortable and easy to wear. They can be dressed up or dressed down. My only complaint is that the blue is no longer available! So sad! If you like the available colors definitely give these a try.

I love Born shoes in general, and these sandals in particular. These strappy sandals are comfortable, cute and fit well. I actually was looking for black sandals, but then found the brown, which is actually "nude" color, so got both. Very happy that I did, as now I can wear the "nude" color with a wide variety of outfits.

I already had a pair of these sandals in gold and once I saw the brown I wanted to get them too! They’re incredibly comfortable and I can wear them all day without my feet hurting! Perfect for any occasion.

Size was perfect. I'm a 10.5 which is sometimes hard to get just right. I have heel pain and was surprised that I can make it through most of the day in these. I also feel a little conscious of the length of my feet and I love how this sandal looks light and strappy without making my foot look too exposed. Really like them!

They are comfortable for long periods of time on your feet. I wish the leather was softer but they work for hot summer days.

I'm amazed at how comfortable these strappy sandals are. Cute too! I wore them all over disney world with hardly any break-in time with no blisters. The leather is really soft and doesn't rub at all.
