Very well-made shorts. Arrived early. The color pictured is not the color I received. I know the color is listed as Sage but the picture should be updated to avoid confusion.

I absolutely love these shorts. They are essential during the summer with all that I carry in my pockets on any given day. I have 3 pair and I alternate them regularly as these are what I live in from middle of April thru September. Considering the hard use I put them through, they are durable as they probably last me about 3 to 4 years much of that time is spent hiking in the woods with my dog.

These shorts were exactly what I was looking for, the inseam is not too long. The only shortcoming is that the cargo pockets are a little too shallow; I would have preferred they be deeper, something that would accommodate a phone.

Great cargo shorts, my only recommendation is to offer them in a longer (9") inseam in addition to the 7 inch.

I never found any ladies shorts I liked as well as these men's PFG shorts for wearing to the stable. They're tough, dark enough to hide a reasonable amount of grime, have a convenient patch pocket on top of each side seam pocket, great for keeping cell phone and keys handy even if you're seated. Unfortunately this style is not produced in ladies sizes but repeated washings in hot water will shrink them a bit. Expensive, but wear like iron for years. Recent purchase was almost exactly like the first purchase years ago; the only difference I could tell was that the earlier purchased shorts had two pleats in each of the patch pockets, later purchased shorts had only one pleat in each of the patch pockets but they were still roomy enough for my cell phone.

Restock please ! Love the phone pocket and the patch velcro pockets. Makes carrying valuable items more secure. Sizes however do run large. My normal size is large. A medium in these shorts is almost to big.

I love these shorts. Columbia has these, or a prior variant of, for years and I've loved them muchly that long. Backpacking and camping across the PACNW and now working on my farm in TN, they get it all done comfortably, last long and don't tear or wear out. Also, popular sizes and colors have been out of stock since early this year, with no restock? What's up with that, Columbia?! Only complaint is that the darker colors fade VERY quickly. Not a deal breaker but these aren't dress shorts and after only a few washes look very well worn.

You are having trouble with the colors? I order brown and get green. Now I can't get anything because the size is not available. I have the green and brown from some time ago. I love these shorts.

The online catalog shows the color(sage) of these shorts to be brown. when received they are a different color than in the catalog.

Recommend the right rear pocket be changed to be similar to a larger pocket on other Columbia shorts.

Ordered these as a second pair because the ones I got a few years ago are my favorite every day shorts. Still good shorts but, the lighter weight material is a bit disappointing.

The only problem with these are the legs are to big for me. I look like a mocking bird standing in two shot gun shells! Men with larger legs will love them. I am keeping them because I am at the age where comfort trumps looks!!

Nice everyday shorts

waist was fine but shorts where a little shorter than i expected and cargo pockets are not deep. feel comfortable.

They changed the material from a quick dry nylon to a heavier cotton blend. Still great shorts but not quick drying or as light as earlier ones I have. I am 5"9 and 160pounds and a small is slightly large on me and so need a nylon belt if I have stuff in pockets. I live in Hawaii and found that all of the Columbia clothes run at least one size larger than labeled and guess to make larger mainland people feel ok as cannot figure why else they wold have sizes so far off on all of there products. Still they are really great shorts and love them. Hope they bring back better nylon ones too!

I love the colors and the material. Very strong, deep pockets. The belt line is expandable, which is good as it does feel a little tight.

These shorts feel great and appear to be very well made. The only thing I don't care for is the wide leg openings. When I look down at them, it almost looks like I'm wearing women's culottes.

the color is totally incorrect. I've bought these shorts for years - you changed the actual color but have not changed the picture or name of the color. I bought 4 of these in the last 3 months - all were bought separately - so it is not a 'lot' issue. This color is green - and NOT what I wanted or have bought in the last several years. What happened? Get rid of green - bring back the brown (sage) as it was listed.

Love them, have 6 pair. But they "fade" when out in sun! That is why I no longer buy them.
