I'm not normally a hoodie wearer, but this has changed my summer. While the summer heat hasn't really hit us hard yet here in TN, this shirt offers excellent sun protection when paddling and fishing. The material is thin and soft and I can put the hood over or under my hat depending on wind conditions. The white blocks the sun well and feels great. I really like that I don't have to wear a huge hat when out on the water. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the gigantic branding on the sleeve. I like to buy quality goods, but I don't need the logo visible from space. This is the only reason for four stars instead of five.

Love the colors (green w/ blue print). Comfortable. Does run a little big. I'm 5'11", 215 lbs. Ordered a size Large. Should be a little baggy for active use. I guess I expected it to be just a bit more fitted. Wore in the ocean last evening. Worked great. Hood fits over ball cap. Great for sun and bug protection. Wearing on a fishing trip tomorrow. Will update review if needed. So far, worth the $!

Great protection from the sun. I was worried about this being heavy, and it's not. Great coverage and sun protection without being bulky. I've bought a few of these...I tend to burn easy:)

It does run a bit big, should have went with a med I'm but I got a large. I'm 5'10 160 lbs. The material is nice and cool for those hot days. Would have liked to have seen thumb holes on the sleeves but for the price not a bad product!

The sleeves run a bit long which I like. I'm 6'1 165 and the sleeves are great. I wish it came in a medium tall size Overall, this is a nice light hoodie.

The material is what my two son's needed for a fishing trip, but it definitely runs on the larger size, even with another shirt underneath. They typically wear mediums, but had to return for smalls. Loose fitting and sleeves are on the long side. Other features about the shirt are nice.

This product is very good. I bought one not knowing how I would like it and when I received it I loved it. I would definitely recommend this to any of my friends.

I bought this hoodie for an annual fishing trip I go on in Northern Maine. The weather starts early in the day being chilly (high 50's low 60's) then the sun gets brutal later in the day (high 80's). I come back every year pretty badly sunburned. This hoodie was awesome for it. Protected me from the sun and was not too hot at all. I love the thin hoodie as well. I could put in on under my hat to protect my ears. I will say this shirt runs very big, but i enjoy a big shirt.

The desert is experiencing a nasty heat wave now. This arrived just in time to provide shade while walking or on my mountain bike. While it's new and thus the review limited the fabric does help in the hot sun. I don't expect tough working conditions as a landscaper for this as the many thorns and hooks of the environment would damage it. Sleeves are longer than the 34" I wear providing cover even while stretched out on the bicycle.

I use this shirt the past couple of years lifeguarding. It has held up well to chlorinated water of a pool and it has kept me well protected from the summer sun. Even after two seasons of sun and washes it is going strong. Good product.

I bought 2 of these, one for my husband, one for my father in law. They both love the fit of the shirt over-all, but both have found the hoods to be obnoxiously large. I purchased this shirt, specifically for the hood - they are both very fair complected and keeping them from getting sunburned while fishing on the S. Texas coast has become a full-time job...for me. They both have several of the PFG shirts just like these without the hood and love them, they still plan to wear these - they just don't plan on using the hood.

Got a medium and it is definitely more of a large - they are sized very large. So be warned. Other than that it is great, just waiting for them to get more Smalls in stock!

Columbia products are always good quality. Sizes run very large so you may want to order a medium if you are normally a large.

Feels great and fits great. I originally ordered a medium and a large. The medium fit perfectly. I am 6'1" and 163 pounds. The logo on the chest is enough brand identity. Please stop putting huge logos on the sleeves - it looks ridiculous. I don't need to walk around like a free billboard. I am going on a trip near the equator and am anxious to see how well this will protect me from the intense sun since I will be out all day for a week in it. I also want to see how quickly it dries.

I am not a small man, but that a very big man either and when I order the XXL i had hoped it would have a bit of play in it for casting. Arms and chest area was a bit tight, but the material is light and of good quality.

I ordered a red shirt and the red was not really red. It seems to be faded, where as in the picture, it looks like red.

I have 4 of the blue small ones. I am 5'10" and 140lbs so I am thin. The small fits me like a large t shirt which I like and wear. I am blind in my right eye so my head tends to be turned more towards the right to compensate. I find that the hoodie wants to pull to the left and start impeding my side vision. In reality it should be the opposite considering my dead turning to the right. After 6 months of 3+ days a week I consider it a design defect. The shirt has become a staple to recognizing me. Actually gonna order some orange ones soon. Family calls me Captain America cause I wear the blue one on the boat every time. If the sun gets hot then pull up hoodie and turn your back.

Fantastic product, although pricy. Not only keeps off the sun but keeps you cooler than if you were not wearing a shirt! The hood works both over and under a hat. Would like to see the next model with built in thumb holes for hand coverage, a button closure for the neck, and an anti-microbial treatment for the funk. This would then be the PERFECT base layer for beach, fishing, hunting, and HIKING.
