I have tested in the shower and this seems to actually waterproof, unlike other brands I've bought that turned out to be water resistant. My husband has had a Columbia waterproof jacket for years and is never wet. Hope the women's version is just as good.

I got this days before a big rainstorm. I had to run through the rain to catch a bus and was very happy to have my new coat as I stayed dry under it.

This appears to be a well-made rain jacket. The lining seems adequate for being waterproof. It's very lightweight which is what I wanted. It is true to size.

I always go out on a very rainy day to try out my rain jackets. I hiked up to ring mountain in Tiburon CA with rain and wind on my face. It turned out to be a very efficient jacket against the rain and I like how it zips up so that even the hood doesn't come off. I got a tiny bit wet at the top by my chest but it turned it was because I forgot to close the Velcro there. I love the rain jacket and the color. It's nice and light.

Best jacket EVER!!! My third jacket in this style. Works in summer, in Alaska over sweaters. Totally rain proof, and I get so many compliments on it! I got a M as I'm usually size 4, but this fits with or without sweaters under it.
