This jacket is very light and definitely guarantees full protection. I think it was well worth the cost and it is an essential. The small fits me perfectly and I am 5'6.

I have yet to test it on winter - where I live, it's summer- but the material is amazing, really comfortable and breathable. I got it in white with gray and it looks even better than in the picture!!
The only not-so-good thing is that runs slightly large. Normally, I'm an L size so I got it just like that, but on the back and the arms it is a bit bigger than normal. Other than that, it feels great when you wear it!

Bought this jacket for Seattle's rainy weather. I was able to test it out yesterday. I'm usually a Medium, but opted for large as the comment stated it runs small. I'm so glad I did. A Large, gave me breathing room yet still looked feminine. Lightweight yet warm. I wore a wool cardigan underneath (although w/ the room I could wear a sweatshirt & it would've worked too). It was in lower 50 degrees. Walked about a mile in the rain and ZERO rain came through. The little drops rolled right off! I just took off my coat and gave it a few shakes to dry the outside of the coat. I was completely dry! Hood was also great coverage. The inside drawstring helped cover my face & cheeks.
My only con: I wished this came in a long! I need a long rain coat to cover down to my rain boats! Pls make one!

I love this jacket! It's very protective in the rain. It's very considerable. I get a lot of compliments on it. I'm also able to layer up underneath it, and it still fits comfortably. I highly recommend this rain jacket.

I run a farm, which means that I am outside in all weather, including the downpours of New England springs and summers. I have tried every rain jacket I can get my hands on, and this is the only one that has worked. It is truly waterproof, it is comfortable enough for me to work in, the hood covers my face without blocking vision, and the length keeps me dry even when bending over. I would definitely buy again. The men's version is great too.

I am thin 5'8" and got a Medium since my shoulders are a little broad and my arms and torso are long. It fits perfectly! Maybe a little baggy/wide in the torso, but there's room for a hoodie underneath. It's definitely thin and perfect for fall/spring rain in the PNW. I've had it for over 6 months, I don't know how I lived without it! I plan on wearing it over a down jacket for cold and rainy winter days.

I wanted a waterproof shell to wear over layers while hiking and watching outdoor sporting events. My granddaughter likes the look of it, not "grandmotherly" at all. Because it's nylon, it's "noisy" when hiking, but not too much. The sleeves are long for me, a plus since I pull them over my fists during rainy and windy weather. There are velcro tabs to pull the wrists tighter. It keeps me very warm and dry, exactly as advertised. I don't get too sweaty either. The hood works well, easily adjustable for wind gusts. The zipper pulls up and down easily, too. I would definitely recommend it.

Have worn, and enjoyed, Columbia rain jackets for years. When my daughter needed a new one it was a natural choice.

The Columbia tops are excellent gifts for my
children and grandchildren. I recently purchased
a number of tops for my granddaughters and had
the logo put on them from the GIGL golf league
they are in.

I bought this when I came to college and it has been THE best thing that I have purchased since coming to college! It keeps me dry and it keeps you warm when it gets cool. I love that it is Packable because where I attend college it will rain suddenly throughout the day so I love to keep it in my backpack for days that it might rain.

I bought this jacket for an everyday kind of jacket. I am completely satisfied with this purchase! The jacket is light enough for everyday but also great to layer over a sweatshirt. It is a little bit tight when layered, but still a great fit! Love this jacket!

I wanted a rain jacket that wasn't bulky and looked feminine. This was perfect. I got the white because all my jackets are dark. A great change.

I bought this jacket because I live in Seattle and it rains here ALL THE TIME. I needed something that was durable, washable and water-proof - it has all these wonderful qualities! I ordered a Large so that I could comfortably wear work clothes or a sweatshirt underneath it, it has ties at the bottom so you can cinch up the waste (which is what I did). Overall, this jacket is magnificent and is a great investment for anyone who wants to travel around the world or for the weary resident here in the PNW (or any rainy town for that matter)!

I purchased this jacket for our trip to Alaska. It performed well in the rain. I like it because it is not bulky, so I could roll it up and stick it in a day pack when I wasn't wearing it.
It does run true to size and was a bit snug over the fleece jacket I purchased for warmth. If you plan on layering, you may want to size up.

I have an active dog and am outside walking or running at least 30 minutes, seven days a week. Bought this for drizzly days and LOVE the color (Groovy Pink). Plenty of room for layering underneath as the temperatures drop. Wore this on a recent trip to Colorado and it kept me dry in the drizzle!

I love the shape of this jacket! It's okay for curvy ladies like me and doesn't hug too tight in the hips. I wear size 12 in pants and a L jacket was just right.
Many reviewers were disgruntled about the color "red hibiscus." Don't be fooled - red here does not mean true red. This is what I call watermelon red and has kind of a pink/orange hue to it. It's bright and beautiful!

When I first got this jacket, my friend and I were so impressed with how waterproof it was, he stood there and dumped a bottle of water on me and we screamed "THIS IS SO COOL!" I like this jacket. It's a bit big around the waist for me, but I'm alright with that. It gets the job done well, and keeps me warm.
