These pants are absolutely perfect in every way, aside from sizing. I don't know what the deal is with Columbia but I have never seen a company so inconsistent with sizing. I'm 5'6" 122 pounds and usually wear a 4 across the board in jeans/pants. I had to size to a 10 in these to fit. I first ordered in 6 just to have extra room and from reviews saying these are sized small. I couldn't bring the 6 over my knees. Had to keep sizing up and finally a 10 fit. I love the style so much I'm keeping them, but I had to post this issue. I'm kind of shocked at some reviews saying their normal size fit just fine. For me this was not the case at all. I can see one pair being mismarked, but it took 3 tries to get the size I needed, so all of those various sizes can't be marked wrong. Aside from that strangeness, these are absolutely perfect for running errands or hiking, even stay cool in the upper 70 degree range while outside. The rise is absolutely perfect at 8". I cannot understand for the life of me the trend of high rise, so having this mid-lower rise makes them look great as well as sitting comfortably on the body. I have a pair of Royal Robbin capris similar to this and they fit great at a size 4. The downfalls on the RR pair is the rise is an inch higher, plus they are almost double the price of the Columbia pair. I would say these are a fantastic choice, great price, awesome style but be prepared to size way up - that is the only reason I gave 4 stars. Otherwise these are a solid 5 stars.

I got these in the right size for me they fit well everywhere but the waist is too tight and the zipper is too short. I suggest you only get them if your shape is just like the model shownor go up a size.

These trail pants (capri) are good quality fabric- what I expect from Columbia products. The construction is well made & color looks like grey, which is what I ordered. I am glad i ordered up a size based on reviews from other customers. Normally, i wear a 6, but very glad I ordered size 8.

I ordered this pant, price was too good to pass up however they run small so I had to return them and ordered the next size up. They appeared comfortable and I liked the length.

I had two pairs of almost the same pants for several years but they started to fall apart so I ordered these. Unfortunately, these run extremely small. I like them overall, but recommend ordering one size larger.

I ordered these capris in indigo with high hopes as I already have a gray pair in a size 8 that I just love. I should have heeded the advice of other reviewers and ordered a larger size. I am returning them and will reorder in a size 10 with fingers crossed that those will fit. It's too bad sizing isn't consistent.

At 5 feet 3 inches with 114lbs normally I wear 2, 4 and sometimes 6. I bought this nice pants size 4 at another online site. They were too small. Returned them with hopes of exchanging them but unfortunately they did not have a larger size. So I decided to go to "Columbia" and fortunately for me they did have all the sizes. I ordered a size 8 that fits me a tad large on the waist but a belt will do its job. Nice pants but they do run very small.

Not what I ordered. I order capris and long pants were shipped. Plus there is a piece of tape on the right lower inside of leg marking a snag! Must have come from previous buyer.

Love these enough to buy another pair but will size up. They do run small in the waist especially. I have a pair of long Columbias in 14 that fit fine but notice the waistband has a bit of stretch in the back. Would be nice if these had the same.

I really love these knee (I purchased three a few years ago) but I have to agree with some of the other reviews. The material has changed and the cut also has changed a bit. Going to play around with the correct size for me but hate that you have to pay to return them. Whatever you gain in a sale price you lose on either shipping or returns. I can't seem to find these anywhere else but online so trying them on to purchase is a bit difficult. I just wish Columbia was more consistent with their sizing. Still a good product but I am disappointed. Some people say these run small but they seem to run small on the waist and big in the legs. Just my two cents. :-)

Normally wear a size 8 in other brands . Size 8 in this was a little snug for my taste.

I love this pants but Columbia must have changed the sizing or the quality control is off. The pants was snug compared to my other pants of the same style/size. I matched up this new pair with a pair of pants that I currently have and the snaps are not in the same position making the fit snug. Sadly, I am returning this.

Pants tend to run small but are quality made (In Vietnam) and I love all my clothes made there because they are very well made. Also they sit lower at the waist than I feel comfortable wearing.

These are very well made knee pants (Made in Vietnam) it's just that the sizing runs small as well as they sit lower on the hips vs at the waist. Otherwise they are nice and feel great!

I have four pair of these pants, all size 4. I love them, wear them hiking all the time. I bought two more in size 4, and they were too small. Unfortunately I had to return them

I ordered a size 6 in these carpris 2 years ago and they still fit great. Last week I ordered a different color in size 6. They were too small so I had to get a size 8. So just be aware they now run small.

Haven't had a chance to wear these hiking yet, but they fit well and are comfortable

I love them so much I just bought my third pair! They fit true to size, are lightweight and comfortable. Only problem is after awhile they start to pill.

I love the material (light weight) and fit (mid waist at belly button) and the colors give a nice variety. I got two of them. Room for a big belt if you want. I like the small zipper pocket for my chapstick. What could have been a little better are the main pockets. They can fit my phone but are a little shallow or the opening a bit long so the phone easily falls out when I sit down. I also decided to cut off the strings at the bottom as they stuck out and I would never use them. I am also not a fan of velcro on back pockets as they snag on things. I don't think anyone ever uses these small little pockets.

I live in these knee pants in the summer! These are well made and comfortable. I did notice that these run small compared with other Columbia knee pants that I purchased several years ago as well as when taking my measurements. I still wear the old ones in size 4 but ordered the size 6 based on the measurements but needed to return them for a size 8 that fit fine.

I purchased two of these Capris (size 8) before Covid and loved them. I've lost weight since then (about 20lbs.) and wanted to figure out what size works for me now. I read the reviews and they said they run a little small so I went with the 6 even though size 4 matched my measurements in your sizing chart. I'm so glad I went with the 6. They fit and were actually slightly snug. I really love the zippered pocket to store my phone while hiking. They're also very light weight and comfortable for summer. Very happy with the purchase. I wish your sizing was more consistent year to year though. For reference, I'm 5'4" 117 lbs.

Ordered several colors of the Columbia Saturday Trail knee pants last year, but had to return the black ones as they were too small even thought marked the same size. Ordered the black ones again this year and while they still fit smaller than the rest, I am going to keep them.
