Love love love these pants for hiking, gardening or just casual wear!

i purchased the size 12 of these pants 3 years ago while on vacation in Portland. I had never been able to find a stylish active wear pant that fit me- they are always too tight through the thigh. These were so perfect i wore them throughout the remainder of my vacation! I promptly bought 2 more pair- another black and the other grill. After loosing a few pounds i found the waist on the size 12 a little big so i recently purchased the size 10- again perfect- just right in the waist and thighs. I am 5'6", 153 pounds. i do not consider myself a size 10- hence my rating runs a little large! These launder well and dry fast. They do tend to pill a little and after a while they stretch out a bit. Only wish Columbia offered these in more colors, though the Saturday Trail pants are similar styling and fit.

Very light to wear and move with me. Shed dirt and spilled liquid; I haven't tried them in the rain yet.

Very comfortable! bought these to wear on a trip to Finland since they can be dressed up or down, and they worked out perfect.

I'm a very hard to fit person: small waist, slim hips, with saddlebags and strong, big legs. I'd resigned myself to wearing men's' outdoor pants, since they were about as good as it got. And even then, poor fit. These pants are the most comfortable pants I have ever worn. The fabric moves in all directions - no binding or digging. The legs aren't too tight either. The drawstring waist accommodates my small waist, so these don't slip down like other pants. I ordered 3 more pairs: capris in grey; pants in tusk and grey for cooler weather.

Love these pants!! They fit great, love the light weight material. I will buy more. They are great for summer.

Love these capris. Light weight, minimal wrinkle, can be dressed up or down, zip pocket. They have a fair amount of stretch and the drawstring comes in handy. Like them so much I am going to buy the just right pant.

I had purchased a pair a couple years ago, and absolutely love them, so am adding this pair in a different color. They are comfortable, stretch with movement, and yet are not too clingy. They repel light moisture, and yet dry quickly when soaked. The drawstring at the waist is a nice feature to assure fit at that location. The only thing I've had to do (on my old ones) is use my sewing machine to reinforce the leg drawstrings where they attach. Well worth it!

I could only purchase the black at my favorite outdoor store... I love this color and these are very flattering.

High quality, excellent fabric, and perfect fit. The only thing I wish they had were more pockets, but that might detract from the sleek, lightweight design and fit. They do have a small zippered side pocket that my iPhone 6 (with a protective case) can just squeeze into, but it creates a lot of bulk and drag - I won't plan on using it for that.

Great fabric, comfortable for working out, long walks and a little style to wear to lunch. Over all a great light weight fabric, that breaths, doesn't seem to wrinkle, multi-purpose. Great for travel.

I just ordered a second pair of this capri. Thank you, Columbia, for manufacturing women's clothing that actually fits, is functional, and made well. I also purchased the long pant in this same style and give it the same 5 stars. Surprisingly, the Active fit was the best for my body type and I didn't expect that. I am 5'2-1/2" tall and 155 pounds and carry my weight on the bottom. It's difficult to find bottoms that not only fit, but are flattering, as this style is. I agree with other writers that, although I'd prefer other colors, black was the best for me as far as not showing every dimple. The long version is slightly longer than I'd like, but the handy little elastic drawcord-type band at the cuff on both capri and pant take care of the extra length.

I love these capris..... Took them to the Grand Canyon, and they were perfect..... I wish you had a light and dark khaki color!!!

Seems to run a little big. I'm 5'6, 130 lb, and usually take 6 in Columbia and a size 6 usually runs a little small. These, however, are a little baggy, and I don't care for the wider leg opening. More like a yoga pant than a travel pant.

These are great capri's for traveling and hiking. I have three pairs purchased over two years. They dry quickly when handwashed while traveling. They are casual and can be dressed up. They are great for tropical climates or for hiking in the Pacific Northwest. They do loosen up as you wear them but it didn't bother me. An iPhone fits perfectly in the zippered pocket.

Moves with you, light weight, what can I say? Great capri and wish they would make in many colors!

I bought a pair of black, loved them so ordered a grey. Love them both!!

These capris are very comfortable and the fabric seems to hold up well so far. But there is only one pocket, and it's not big enough for my phone which is not huge. That's a huge negative for me.

I ordered this capri last year, and in a different color this year. Same size, but when measured they are quite different. The later order is larger in the waist and hips by more than an inch. I will keep it because there is a tie at the waist to keep it up, but it definitely runs larger that last year. Very comfortable and light and well constructed.

The capri is light weight and made well. There is a draw string inside the waist band that can be tightened if the waist is too large, which helps for multiple waist sizes. These do not fit too tight, and hang nicely. 5'6", size 12 Good for humid hot weather.

Really like the fit and fabric of this capri, BUT, wish it had some functional pockets. The little zippered pocket is practically worthless. ---- Wonder why the Climber Canyon style is not currently being offered as it had the perfect design for my needs: comfortable, nice pocket depth/size, interior drawstring, ok fabric that drys easily.

Stain resistant for sure, comfortable even in hot weather. Not too baggy, not to clingy and the pocket is just big enuf for keys, but not big enuf to tempt you to put anything bulky in! Goes with everything.

Good comfort and quality all around. Just right for work and play.

Very well-made - true to the photo shown on-line. However, was not happy with the actual material selected for the Capri. When there are significant creases present, even before trying on an item - then, that will be a factor that will always be present.
