Great pack. You get exactly what you see. Simple. Durable. Decent comfort. Its not going to feel like a nicely padded technical pack but it is good for most uses. Ive hiked with it and had no problems.

I bought this backpack for school and as a small carry on for travel. I am really happy with it and have received many compliments. True to Patagonia form, this bag is designed well and has great pockets, the right amount and the right size. The laptop sleeve is very protective and the size of the main compartment accommodates a pretty decent amount of stuff - I've never wished it were bigger. There aren't a ton of zipper, straps, and doodads that tend get broken, which is why I was initially attracted to this backpack. The drawstring and flap for the main compartment are super convenient. My only gripe is that I don't think this bag would be that comfortable for prolonged activity (like hiking). But, as I did not buy it for this purpose, it doesn't matter to me.

This is a great pack. It holds my computer and 2 days of clothes. It's a great overnight bag. I like the colors, it looks different so I can always find my bag.

It was hard to find a simple bag in this size without lots of extraneous pockets and an unwanted laptop pad adding weight and using the real estate. I might've been tempted by another light Patagonia bag but the store didn't have any on the floor. The others there were heavier and colorful, definitely for travelers wanting to blend in. This will be perfect for a 2 week trip abroad and will be maneuverable on public transport while being kind to my back. I'm glad Patagonia has this no frills bag that's easy on the eyes, too. My partner chose an Osprey and we're both happy.

I have a traditional sized IBM laptop and it would not fit easily in the laptop sleeve. I fly frequently and getting through security with my bag quickly is key. The bag has a minimalist concept -- I love it for leisure purposes, but it doesn't fit my needs now so I have to return it.

When it comes to backpacks, Patagonia has it going on. I was especially stoked on this pack with it's old school camping style look. This pack is very comfortable and comes with an adjustable waiste belt to even out the load. There are a few pockets to stick your keys, phone, sunglasses and whatever else you wanna sneak in there. Inside the pack there is a super comfy spot to put your Macbook. The super nice thing about this pack is all the the little leather holders you can run straps through or caribeners. I use them to hold my water bottle and Yoga mat. Overall this pack rocks! You won't be disappointed. It's hard to find a good quality, comfortable backpack out there that has everything and won't break the bank.

This is a great looking bag, and if what your hoping to carry is narrower than a 3" 3 ring binder and a textbook you're good to go. The opening at the top sadly does not accommodate my large medical textbooks and binders. Wanted to love this bag but if the books don't fit really neat hidden pocket under the purple flap. Would be a great gym/dayback kind of bag.

I am really surprised at all the good reviews for this bag. I mean, it is a nice looking bag. I love the colors and the style. I was really looking forward to using it. I assumed it would be great. I am a very loyal Patagonia customer and own many, many of their products. But this bag is very thin and feels cheap. I honestly think it would fall apart quickly. It is pretty bad quality materials. I sent it back and will be looking at other brands for my next bag.

A well made, featherweight, generously-sized backpack, very low-key. But there's a problem: an almost complete lack of the handy small pockets, compartments, gussets, side-zippered doo-dads one needs to live with a backpack as an everyday accessory. Aside from one internal sleeve for a laptop, a zippered front pouch and a small and close to useless zippered front flap, this is as bare bones as one can get. Where do you put your smaller stuff? It all gets piled up together. Maybe this is best as an emergency stash-it-in-closet kind of backpack, but if that's the case, it's too expensive by 3.
