I am a full grown 5'9 in tall adult woman and am mostly legs. I can usually wear kids pants but I expect them to be short and maybe a little bit tight. That being said, these are too big.With shoes on, they drag several inches on the ground and are a little big in the waist. That being said, the children's large was too small in the waist. I knew I wasn't buying a very technical pair of rain pants so the quality is about what I expected. So far they are really great actually. They are not Goretex or anything so I suspect over time they will deteriorate and I will have to re-waterproof them, but so far so good!

Elastic waist could use a drawcord and the legs are quite long. So much so, expect to either hem or fold under to avoid strpping on them. Nice material, dry and breathable. If your legs are oddly long, you'll love these!

The side of the pants splited after a couple times of wearing. It was really waterproof but didn't last long.

I buy this for my boy (5) as he loves to being outside but if it is raining (as it rain in Oregon) and he is playing outside for more than half an hour when he takes his waterproofs off his pants are wet! Love Columbia wish the quality,specially children or youth clothes will be better.
