I am very happy with Keen Kids Chandler CNX shoes. My 3 year old ran on them right after she had them on. They are soft, light, comfortable, good traction and importantly they work with SMO brace. These are easy to wear with SMO brace vs many other brands. Hope this will be helpful for someone who looking for sneaker type of shoes for kiddos with braces. I got 5 other pairs of shoes from other brands (even though, I got the one directly from the company who made the brace. Sadly to say that, but it was true) that did not work for the brace until I found these.

This is a very durable kids shoe. We love the keen kids shoes and always have a pair for our daughter. They are easy for her to put on and off, and hold up real well to a 3 year olds wear. They wash real well too and will usually dry overnight well. Th only real con is that they are a little smaller than other shoes the same size and they are a little heavy, so her kicks pack a punch.

My kid has worn the Chandler CNX shoes from age 1 through present (4y). Pros: - He says they're comfortable - He can get them on/off by himself - They come in lots of fun colors - Always last until he grows out of them - Hold up okay if they need to be put through the wash (things happen with preschoolers, ya know?) The colors do rotate every season. Variety is nice, but if your kid gets obsessed with one particular color, maybe buy the next size up now so you aren't scrambling to find last season's colors still in stock somewhere. Ask me how I know. :P

Cannot say enough good things about these shoes. They are the best pair of sneakers I have purchased for my very active 3 year old. They have lasted her almost a year and no complaints on her end about anything. Still look like new even with all the running and tumbling she does. Her feet are never hot and always comfortable. She asks to wear these! Love the look, very cute.

This shoe fits my 6 year daughter very well. It has a nice broad toebox and she loves running with this shoe !

Love these for my active 3 year old. Easy to get on and she loves them.

Keen and zappos are good on their own and awesome together! I always get keens because I know they will last long enough for both my kids to wear them!

Love keens for my kids, they last us two seasons as hand me downs and I always know my kids feet are comfortable. Worth the extra cost.

Purchased these shoes for my 7-year-old daughter. She absolutely loves these shoes and I do, too! So far they're holding up well.(it's been a couple months) The Velcro strap on one of the shoes kind of came apart, but I glued it back and it's absolutely fine now. (Most likely caused by the child and not a failing of the shoe, though.) This is the first time we've purchased Keen shoes. I'm looking into getting a pair for my son now, too!

Needed some more rugged shoes for my two toddlers (4 and 3). These shoes are sturdy and super cute. Love Keen.

These are really cute, but they are the same size as my daughter's size 9 keens. No idea why they run so small.

I have been buying these shoes for my 6 year old twins since they were 3. Absolutely perfect for children with slender feet. They are a sleek shoe compared to clunky, cumbersome shoes that you normally find for children. Great support, very flexible, and easy for them to put on. Wonderful shoe that lasts the whole year. Always still in great condition when we pass them down to smaller cousins when they outgrow them.

Greatest shoe ever! Very comfortable, design is cute and they are basically indestructible. My 5 year old is very rough on her shoes and the shoes still look brand new though she wears them playing on the playground, climbing on rocks, dragging her feet on her bicycle etc. I especially love that the toe part is dark, very practical. Light colored toe boxes and sides of soles basically look dirty from day one on and the constant cleaning is a pain. Awesome shoe for playing and preschool!

Nice looking sneaker, daughter loves

My picky toddler with wide, thick feet loves these shoes! I love the durability, she seems to love the color and the ease with which she can get them off on her own. I did need to order a half size bigger than normal to get a good fit in terms of length.

My daughter loved these shoes, this is her second pair of Keens. We buy them because she ruins all of her other shoes by dragging her toes. She cannot destroy the toe on these.

I LOVE these shoes. I ordered them for my daughter, whose feet are flat and turn in slightly, so she has to wear orthotic inserts. I have been through 10-12 pairs of shoes for her, trying to find ones that fit comfortably, that she can take on and off herself, that are decent looking, and most importantly -- that accommodate her orthotics!! FINALLY I found a pair that works for her! I am so happy, I am ordering them in the next size up to have in advance. They would be great for kids with typical feet as well - so I may even order two pairs for my two boys! LOVE!

Another amazing shoe by Keen. My daughter has these and the Koven. She loves them so much and wears them everyday. She got these because she broke my little heart by saying mommy everyone has has new and pretty shoes and mine are really old. Well, her Kovens have lasted forever-it is not because of wear and tear that we had to buy these-she just wanted something new. So far, it looks like they will hold up just as well and they must be super comfortable because I never hear one complaint.

Love these shoes! However, they run a whole size small. I had my daughter fitted at a local shoe store and she is a size 9 with room to grow. I ordered a size 9 and they were so tight. Sadly, we have to return for a larger size so we won't have them in time for our hiking trip.

Not waterproof-took a star off for that. I’m pretty sure description said they are waterproof, or at least when I filtered for waterproof, they were still showing as an option. Either way, my 4 yo walked through some damp grass and her feet were soaked. This is not fatal for us though as we wanted something sturdy. These are certainly that. Well made (much better quality than the Nikes we’ve had recently). Sizing is similar/same as Nike.

Always buy Keens, but 1st time with "closed" ones. Bought a size larger than current sandal pair, but the fit was the same. Pretty, though, and comfortable.

Great fitting shoe with arch support. These are easy to put on and take off. The only problem is the pull tab eventually wears out the shoe lace. Since you can't replace the shoelace, the shoes become useless.

The hatching on the side of the shoe came unglued after less than one week of wear. These are comfortable, nice looking shoes, but they are apparently poorly made.
