The shoes are comfortable… once the kid is able to put those on. My kid tried to just slip them on, no luck, one needs to pull up the heel loop with the fingers and push the heel hard down, simultaneously, or use the shoe horn every time, just to end up bending/destroying the heels. Thank you Zappos for an excellent returns policy.

These shoes do not hold up as well as the Newport. My 7 year old son busted both string laces really quickly. Okay shoe but I like the Newport a lot better.

The Keen Kids Seacamp II was almost an inch shorter in length than the other Keen Kids Neo; marked the same size 2, but visibly smaller overall.

My son has been wearing the Keen's Kids Rio sandal for 3 years now. He has a narrow foot, so it is hard to find sandals that will fit him. I decided to try these this year because the Rio's color options were either too young looking for a 12 year old or he had to choose the graphite color option which he thought was ugly. However, according to the sizing we were used to with the Rio's, he should have been in a size 4 this year. When we received them, they were the same length as the size 3 Rio's he already had, so they were too short, but they were also too wide for his narrow foot. So, unfortunately, even though they were a very nice looking pair of sandals, we had to return them.

It's "less" structured than the traditional Keen. It feels soft, not as much rubber on toe or on sole yet it cost more than the traditional model. I have concerns had the green insole will look after a few weeks of summer. I like the dark sole of the the traditional Keen. My husband thought it was a cheap Keen knock off. Keen continues to be the only non-wide shoe my wide footed child can wear.
