I own three northface jackets and I wear this hoodie to GYM. It looks cool and It's a nice casual hoodie but it was not effective in keeping me warm when the temperature was -4c.

This pullover is worn to the office and in the field. I am a construction professional and I have to be able to look good while being protected from the elements, this garment will do that. I will say that it works best as a layer. In temperatures below 40 degrees it is noticeably thin. Because of the athletic fit you are limited as to what you can wear under it, unless you get a bigger size.

Looks great, a tad on the long side which is actually a positive on this layer. Super happy with the fit.
The one negative is that abrasions on this material show quickly, though it's only possible to see at a parallel angle (like I'm looking down at the hoodie while wearing it). At first, I thought my hoodie had defective material and exchanged it. Within one day, I saw the same marks on my new hoodie. Just my seatbelt alone leaves abrasion marks across where it rubs, but they're not really visible to anybody.

Overall, I had wanted a canyonlands hoodie for some time. I had tried one on 2 years ago and really liked it. I can't say I'm trilled about the model updates. It is not as warm as prior versions and the thumbholes are now gone. But the thing I'm most disappointed about is the fit. I have always worn size Small happily in the North Face. This hoodie is too long. I wish it was 1-2" shorter and/or had a drawstring to tighten at the waste. The look and feel remain fantastic.

Nice overall jacket, was slightly dissapointed as the fit and zippers were not of typical NF quality, but being made outside the US may be the reason. I like most NF stuff and will continue to buy because of their guarantee, but would not buy this again due to the poor craftsmanship/zippers.

It is very thin and you can hardly feel it is there. I like that it zips all the way up and it reduces all the gaps.

It's a great hoodie but the color is more like a burgundy.

I really want to like this piece but it doesn't do anything well for being outdoors - more of an around the house and cool evening city fashion item. Based on the weight I expected it to be like a polartech microfleece or 100wt but this is barely thicker than a good cotton t-shirt. Gentle breeze goes right through it which gets chilly immediately if you've worked up any moisture. So it has a very narrow range of temps and use...but it's comfortable and looks good. Scallion color arrived darker than pictured which was fine (but not at dark as the cedar). Large fits a bit too trim even for an athletic cut but strangely the xl is pretty swimmy (I usually wear large even in most companies' athletic cuts). The screen printed logo won't last long...cheap ink. So if you want it for the logo, oh well...and if you want it for the outdoors, it's very limited. Hood is well made, good fit but a little big...fits better when fully zipped up. I like it enough, I'll keep it, but I wouldn't buy it again.

It looks great and would make a perfect anytime top. However, it fits a little too small. Advice: Order a size bigger.

Dramatically smaller than the medium North Face vest that I just bought in the spring, so I passed it along to my 14 year old. Disappointed that two garments labeled men's medium could not possibly both be worn by the same person.

Nice little jacket with a great price. Fit great right out of the box even with the handy thumb slots but the sleeves felt a little too long. I used this garment for climbing the first day, and it was pretty comfy, the hood fit over a climbing helmet as well. The jacket isn't mind blowing or anything but will do its job for a price point piece.

Had to return as it did not fit. Ordered a large but needed a medium (Med out of stock). Like the look of it, felt comfortable, just a little too big.

I normally have no problem with The North Face tops but being 6'5" 190 lbs and I could almost fit a second person in the XL hoodie with me and the sleeves were just barely long enough.

The jacket did not arrive exactly as described on the picture online. The only difference was the zippers were black and the online picture showed them to be red. Other than that the quality of the jacket has been great so far and the fit has been great.

I ordered this item and they sent me the NEW 2015 version. The new version omits the thumb holes, which is the reason I considered it in the first place. The only NEW fleece that has thumb holes is the hooded one. Don't need a hood, so thanks for nothing North Face. Had to send it back.

Loved the colors of zippers and logo on web site. When product arrived it was all same blue color as rest of shirt. Very bland and mono-chromatic. Otherwise it was comfortable.
