These are very lightweight and comfortable. I run once a week and do the elliptical and stationary bike 5x week, and these are perfect for this level of activity. I would not buy these if I were planning to run multiple times per week and/or longer distances. They do not seem supportive enough for serious running.

Love these shoes! So comfortable...didn't even have to work them in. They are stylish too! Great purchase!

This shoe was comfy at first, but, then the insole made my foot very sore. They are not made as well as my other Asics. I did expect this as they were priced very low. For walking around they were fine. Not for working out.

Great colors get lots of compliments. It's a comfortable shoe for just kicking around in for short periods of time, I would not recommend for running or long walks. It fits a bit narrow and runs a bit smaller/tighter than other Asics I've worn (Kinsei or Kayano). Also, they sort of curve weirdly to the outside, almost like forcing you to stand towards the outside of your feet as opposed standing solidly on your whole foot. it this makes any sense.

Wow. The Asics Gel Excite 2 doesn't feel like a Wide at all. It's tight. I tend to be an Asics Gel girl with my wide feet, and their shoes generally support in all the right places. But, I had to check the box a couple of times to make sure I ordered the right size. I compared it to the Gel Equation 7 which has significant support, but this is way too much. It's surprising how different this style feels compared to the other two Asics Gels (Equation 7 & Contend 2) that I purchased. If you have a regular width foot, don't be afraid to try a wide with this style.

These ASICS do not fit like the other ASICS I have bought. They do not have the support I am used to. When I walk I find my foot slipping to the outside of the shoe. I am returning them.
