I've been buying Vionic for many years and my favorites are the Tide Sandals, but it seems that they are too loose to stay on my feet which has caused a problem with the joint in my big toe. I've dealt with Planter Fasciitis for over 30 years and these were the only sandals I could wear to walk long distances. Not any more. I do not have narrow feet at all, and I'm not complaining about the width, it's the straps. I've noticed they even get looser as you wear them. I tried adding adhesive padding under straps, but that's uncomfortable. What happened to these Sandals that I loved so much? So sad!!!

I love Vionic and have 2 pairs and wanted to replace one as it has seen better days. I have to agree with other customer's, this is not the same flip flop as they used to make. To me, while the arch support was good, the flip flops felt really flimsy on my feet. These would be great for someone with a really large foot! Returning and trying another one, keep your fingers crossed!

Squeaky - took them on vacation, and they squeaked like crazy! I am considering returning them.

I have been wearing Tide for over 10 years and one of my newer pairs on both shoes have ripped apart at the seem on the back of the shoe. It appears they aren't made as well as they use to be.

These saved my feet, however you changed them!! They feel like plastic in the footbed and the strap is soooo loose. Why?? Why do you change something that was working for everyone? I'm sure it was sent over seas to pocket more profit. Sad world

They seem slippery and are uncomfortable. I have tried wearing them gradually a little more each day but it doesn't help. I would return them if I could.

I love these sandals in the past. They have have been life savers. I have ordered over 10 pairs in the last few years... They keep me able to walk after years of plantar fasciitis pain...these vionic sandals have been miracle workers and kept this pain away!! But now after ordering new ones I am devastated because the new ones do not have as high of an arch nor is the heel bed as good. In addition, I have to order new pairs more often because the arch support is not staying firm as long as the older ones and the toe thong is stretching after a few months of wear which means the sandal is loose on my foot. I had to have a shoe repair person fix this at an additional cost so they would not fit loose. I see others are reviewing with the same disappointment in arch and heel cup changes and we are all begging you to please go back to the original quality. We are happy to pay the cost of your sandal but need it to be the great quality it use to be. Please please re-look at how you can bring back the quality!

I was really looking forward to getting these new flip-flops from Vionic but was so disappointed. First they were way too big. I wear a 71/2 so I ordered an 8. The general rule is to order up.Then I ordered the Med-Wide. There was no Med. to choose. The straps were way too loose and I couldn't walk in the shoes and keep them on. Also the footbed was very unforgiving. I thought I might exchange them for the Basic but reading the reviews the straps on those were too big also. They would probably be good if you have a wide or a plump foot. I usually love Vionic shoes because of the high arches that really support my feet.

I returned the size 8 to order this shoe in a size 7 to see if it would be a better fit...(also in the pewter since I just purchased another pair/style in the bronze color. Wish they had 1/2 sizes.
I'd also recommend:
Revitalign seems to have a better fit, for my foot anyway...and a smoother footbed.

These would be great if they were made for the medium width foot, or even better, a narrow option.

I purchased this shoe to have for inside wear only. Unfortunately the high and very hard arch was very uncomfortable for me. I do not have strong arches in my feet and this sandal was a bad fit for me. It may be okay for others.

I’m so disappointed. This is the second Vionic sandal that I ordered in a 5 and they feel like a 7. I’m having a flare up of foot pain and this is the shoe everybody recommends. I ordered a wedge and it fits perfectly. I ordered the slippers and they do feel a bit wide but they still fit.

TLDR: If your feet are not puffy you will not enjoy walking around in these sandals. If your feet are puffy these sandals will fit perfectly. The straps are not adjustable. I have a wide size 9 foot. I'm 5'7" and about 150 lbs (athletic build). My feet are neither puffy nor bony. The footbed on these sandals are perfect in length and width. The arch support is perfect. But as other reviewers have stated the straps are too loose for a non-puffy-footed person. If your feet are not puffy your feet will slide completely out of the sandal as you're walking - the straps make almost no contact with the top of your foot they're basically hovering about a 1/4-inch above the top of your foot as your standing. While you're walking if they haven't flown off your feet already these flip-flops will slap really hard against the bottom of your foot (much harder than any other pair of flip-flops I've ever worn) when the straps eventually pull the footbeds toward your feet because of the extra length of the straps - your feet are not snug in the sandal. My friend who also has size 9 wide PUFFY feet (she's about 250 lbs not athletic and has noticeably puffier feet) could NOT relate - she thought they were a perfect fit and the straps were a perfect looseness/tightness. Bottom line: the straps are too loose for most people (judging from the comments) and perfect for some.

Having a black soul makes my feet turn black. I have dirty feet every time I wear these things. The rubber soul is very stiff.

Have flat feet so width and a high arch are always problems. The arch was just too high and caused immediate discomfort. Returned.

I normally wear 8.5W & 8M fit fine. The problem is the arch. I found it to be incredibly high & stiff as a board. I tried to break them in but the step was so off that it felt like I was weirdly lurching & after a short while both ankles & arches were killing me. I didn’t have heel pain though so there’s that, but arches were sore for 2 days after. I’ve never experienced anything like it. I own another style Vionic flip flop & no problems. These are awful.

I just ordered my second pair of Tide II Toe Post sandals. My first pair are black and I wanted to get another color. I really liked the grey color so I ordered pewter. The color I received is not the same as pictured on the Vionic website. The straps are more of a gold color. Disappointed. I wanted something more neutral so will return.

I bought this sandal (flip flop) and the toe area is very uncomfortable. The square piece above the toe cuts into area between my toes. The arch is very good so don't know if I will keep them and try to get use to piece between toes or return them.

After about 6 months the soles started coming apart. i tried glueing back together but they kept coming apart. Company could not give me a satisfactory answer. these are too expensive for this to happen after only 6-7 months of wear
