I loved the Merrell Encore Breeze 2 and ordered the Encore Breeze 3 when they wore out. The Encore Breeze 3 is narrower and shorter than the Encore Breeze 2 was so I had to return them. I love the style and comfort of Merrell shoes, but wish they had used the same last for these.

Love the Silver Birch color which is a light beige. Unfortunately they run large and that's why I'm returning. I usually wear a 10 1/2 or 11 but it seems that I wear a 10 in this style of Merrell. For some reason each version of this style fits differently!

I ordered these in the size that I always purchase, size 9. However they run very large. I had at least a full ½" of room. The shoes are somewhat comfortable, but not if you are standing on your feet for a long period of time.

I've been wearing these shoes for years, through many different generations of the style. It's always been a great fit, so I was excited to see the Encore Breeze 3 series come out. Unfortunately, it's a severe disappointment. After trying my usual size 10 (too short) and going up a size to 10.5 (way too big and an unexpectedly large jump from the half-size smaller), I've had to return them all. The difference between this style and the Breeze 2 is huge. I found the arch support in the Breeze 3 - something I absolutely need - much flattened. Also, the footbed seems different and hits me in too many wrong spots. All in all, unbearable for my feet. I'm bummed - the colors are great and the style's really cute.

I loved this shoe style from Merrell as it used to be very comfortable and gave me the support I needed. Then, they (Merrell) decided to change the sole, which I feel was a big mistake as my regular size was too long, and in a half size smaller, my toes on the left shoe, hit the front of the shoe. I now cannot order any more of one of my favorite shoe styles by Merrell because they played around with the sole. As the expression goes, "if it isn't broken, don't fix it!"

Not the Merrells I remember...maybe because I wear heavier shoes now. Bought a pair of these years ago when I had a stress fracture in my foot and they worked like a compression cast on the top of my foot. Not enough arch support for me now.

I've had these shoes in the past and absolutely loved them. They've always been incredibly comfortable. The new design is not true to size and is not comfortable to wear for extended periods. The size that I've always worn is way too long and wide. I'm hoping that dropping down a half size will make the difference.

Very disappointed as I wanted to like these! Thought that a clog would be perfect around the house and for a quick errand. My (size 8 M) feet swam in them and unfortunately I had to return.

I have the same model shoe in Black @ 8 1/2 M and they fit fine, the Silver Birch at the same size are extremely wider and the are suppose to a M, don't know what happened.

Well, shoot. I really wanted these to work. I like the way they look and have long worn Merrells happily. But this particular shoe has the back cut so low that not only does it hit on a strange part of your heel but it also means the shoe slips on and off of the back of your foot as you walk. It's not enough where you'll walk out of them, but definitely enough to be very noticeable and uncomfortable. I haven't worn them enough to see if this would translate to a blister; it only took a couple minutes to know I need to return them because I will never comfortably wear them.

Really like this style shoe. I usually wear a 9, but pair I had was 8.5 so that was ordered. It was huge. Return for 7.5 which was too small. Having a hard time finding the color in a local store, but will have to go without for now.

I have Merrell Jungle Mocs and i love them. I had hope these would be a summer alternative but it's not. There is no arch support in this shoe and it runs so large in the 7.5 that the shoe kept coming off.

This would be my (at least) 6th pair of Merrell clogs, most of them were the Encore series. My first pair was the nubuck Encore or Breeze, I think. They have worn like iron, and I only have to get a new pair every couple of years, even though I wear them every day. Always very comfortable, and I love the "slip-on, slip-off" feature. When I tried on this last pair, I was so disappointed to discover the same issue that many others have complained about. Merrell has changed something about the heel lip, and it no longer works to keep my foot in the shoe. A terrible design flaw. Doesn't anyone try these on before they are marketed? I don't understand why they would mess around with a superior shoe that was very popular. This one is going back as it is unwearable unless it stays on the foot, which it does not. I am very disappointed in Merrell, and upset because now I have to find another company. Sad, because I have worn Merrell's exclusively for many years,and never had to think about shoe-shopping, because when I find the perfect shoe for me, I am fiercely loyal. Sorry, Merrell, you've lost a good customer. Thanks, Zappos, for your great company. Please don't try to fix anything unless it's broken.

Extremely disappointed with these shoes and furious with myself for assuming they'd fit/wearing them 'in real life' right out of the box. While the size and width seemed to be accurate, Merrell skimped big-time on the instep circumference. The uppers on these shoes are so tight, they leave a marks on the top of your foot. The intensity of these marks depends on whether or not you wear socks with these 'sneakers'. Because the opening is edged with a non-give material, there is NO hope of them stretching to fit. Next time, I'll remember the cardinal rule of new shoes: always test-drive for a full day of indoor wear before adding to your closet.

I have been wearing this style shoe for at least 6 years, going through 7 pairs. This most recent pair have been made differently than my previous pairs. They are longer and have less arch support. I gave them a fair shake over the winter but I could not be more disappointed. These have been my go to shoe as I have wide feet and plantar fasciitis and these have been great over the years. But the recent change in the design has left my feet in pain after a day on my feet. These have lost their amazing reliability.

Three years ago I bought a Merrell shoe that looked exactly like the Merrell Encore Breeze 3. They were amazing shoes. Alas the quality of the fabric and the fit and comfort are not the same. The left shoe was too tight and the right shoe was too large.

I have loved this shoe in the past but the Encore Breeze 3 has entirely changed. It no longer is the same wonderful shoe . Please make them like you did before!! They had been my most comfortable shoe but these are not like the ones in the past.

Why didn't I listen to some other reviewers? Why did I allow the gorgeous green available only in the Merrell 3 to change my style from 2 to 3? The 2 now seems to be available only in the boring neutral colors. But would I have had the same issues with the newer versions of Merrell 2? The fabric does appear to be different from what is used in my 3 older pair. The fabric in the insole is not the same as what had been used in my older pair that are, incidentally, still giving me excellent service. There is a stiffness to the outer material that may or may not be due to the fact that it is new. After wearing the new pair for 2 hours, the skin in my heel split. Now that the heel has healed, I tried comparing the 2 with the 3. This Merrell 3, a brand new shoe, is not giving me the same comfort as my old Merrells. But now a good word for Zappos. When I first received the shipment, the box indicated these were a size 6.5. The shoes were a size 7. Not only did Zappos make the return process easy, Zappos credited my payment back to me to compensate for the mistake. Who does that? ZAPPOS.
