These are truly beautiful boots. I am a die hard Frye addict. I am always hesitant to try other brands, since I have more athletic calfs, and do have some difficulty with the shaft being too snug. I also prefer the square toe, in a 9½, I feel my feet look big enough already! I have been searching a while for tan or bone colored boots, and figured that I would take a chance on these, even though I was concerned that they might be a bit too girly with the metallic accents. I am in love. The color is a bit more taupe, and the metallic accents and embroidery make them just a bit more dressy than my other boots. That is a good addition, especially with the holidays coming. These are not boots that I would wear to do down and dirty work, too special. Although the workmanship is beautiful, and would probably stand up to the test. The details here involve a sort of brushed or suede finish, so I picture them staining a bit more easily. The fit and comfort is glorious from day one, even the calf issue. I do hope the calf gives a bit in time, I would love to wear jeans inside them on occasion, too. That would probably work for most people, I just have larger calfs. All the way around, I am thrilled with these. I had them on all day yesterday, walking around being a tourist. They were great the whole time. Lucchese is right up there on my list now. But it is tough to knock Frye from the top of my list.

The Stone Python is another case of a photo that does not do justice to the real thing. The colors are amazing and the background is rich cream suede with a hint of taupe so the color is not totally flat. On this is a subtle hint of faint gold and dusty gray silver flecks shaped like scales not all over, just a random glimmer here and there. The pattern is sufficient to outline the flow up the foot and shaft of the boot, a subtle interpretation of the giant snake. You only notice this pattern when looking at the boot up close. From a distance you see a shimmer under the stitched vine design that moves symmetrically from each side of the toe up the shaft. It is done in a pale cream shade. The tan leather sole and heel meld with the colors. The total look is perfect for tan, cream, winter white, and taupe office outfits. Or rock these with an off-white sweater and jeans. Just don't wear them in the rain or for serious riding like any light colored suede, they will get dirty fast! Oh yes, they are tight to get on - normal for Lucchese boots but once on they are like gloves, mold to your foot, flex comfortably, soft on the ankle and superb arch support. The M prefix is made in Mexico and the craftsmanship is excellent for the price.

These boots are the bomb, much prettier in "person" than in the photograph. Lucchese makes the most beautiful boots, and these are no exception. Good fit, not too tight in the calves for me so I can wear leggings tucked in to them.

I am a boot fanatic. Saw these in a catalog for a lot more. They are sort of a muted grey/white. Which I like more than a full on white. I normally might order up a half size with pull on boots due to high instep and generous calves but didn't need to here. These boots are very versatile with just a touch of bling.

BEAUTIFUL! I bought these to go with my wedding dress and they are absolute perfection. Even more beautiful in person than in pictures. I'm sure I will wear these after the wedding as they are so, so pretty. Gorgeous detail!

These boots are so pretty, so feminine and I smile each time I put them on. I looked at the brown, black and other dark color boots, thinking versatility but then saw these and had to have them. The fit is very good. I have a relatively high arch (I usually stick to zipped boots) and was concerned about clearance on and off, but I have no problem with pressure or binding over my arch. I cannot wear them without getting compliments - cute with jeans, black tights, a flared skirt. I think I will wear them year round. I LOVE them.

I love these boots! I am so happy that I threw them in my suitcase at the last minute. We attended a beach wedding. I wore a cream lace skirt and planned to wear a pair of new huaraches that I had never tried on. After almost falling down the stairs in them, and as the weather was freezing, I ditched the huaraches and pulled on the boots. They were perfect and looked gorgeous. I never need to break in Luccheses. I stayed warm during the wedding and even though the sand was a little damp, the boots did not get soiled. They saved the day!

I think these boots are gorgeous but hard to tell how comfortable they'll actually be. I went by others who commented that they run true to size. I am a size 8 and ordered accordingly, however, these size eights are large on me and I have a wider size foot, (than I used too!) so beware. Really, I'm not sure if its the width that I'm dealing with, its the overall size, the arch is not hitting me at my arch. Am returning and going to order a 1/2 size down in the hopes that 7 1/2 works. They are great looking. I don't think they'll stand up to rough and tough wear. Just really cool/pretty.

I purchased these Lucchese for my Fall Wedding. My dress was ivory lace and I felt the shoes were a bit darker than I was anticipating; however, they are absolutely gorgeous. The embroidery on the shoes did match the dress, so I felt it would still work. I am normally a 7.5 and ordered a 7. I appreciate the previous feedback with that suggestion. It saved me the hassle of an exchange. The size 7 was snug, borderline too snug on my right foot. I took them into Cavendars in Houston and they very nicely stretched them for me (free of charge). Once stretched, they ended up fitting perfectly. My complaint about the shoe (having now worn them multiple times since the wedding) is suede isn't the most forgiving when it comes to being worn. There are areas that are starting to "fluff-up" like suede tends to do (like where jeans hit the base of the boot). Also, the gold flecks (the python design) on this shoe also becomes worn and ultimately can make the shoe look dingy. The gold flecks really add a dimension to the color, but the print seems to be missing near the top of the foot towards the ankle. Lucchese's are very expensive. The fit is great and I don't regret my purchase. I do, however, worry about the lifespan of these. The print/suede is going to wear out well before the sole does.

I ordered these boots in high hopes they'd be the perfect shoes for my rustic wedding. Upon receiving them, they looked very different than the image on the website. They are a bit of a faux snakeskin pattern, and they were super metallic and a lot darker than I'd imagined. I was so disappointed. I also noticed that the lining of the wooden edging around the boot was peeling in multiple different places, which made me question the overall quality. I was so sad to send them back.

The fabric is very beautiful and feminine, I just absolutely loved. Very muted creams and metallics. I was not crazy about how square the toe is or the really light colored sole so I sent them back.
