I needed some comfortable walking shoes for a trip to Italy. I read a review on Ecco shoes and decided to try them. This was the first time I could wear the same shoes the entire trip with extensive walking. They did not rub any blisters or caused any pain on any part of my foot. They are great!

I bought these shoes in black last year, wore them on heavy tourist duty, and they did fine, so I got the mahogany this time as well. The sole is a bit thin, so I replaced the insole with a Spenco, which made them even better.

This is a really great shoe. I originally ordered the Babett Mary Jane by Ecco, but the cut hurt my feet, as I have bunion problems. Wished that the maryjane style would have worked, as they were really cute and easy on and off. I specifically purchased these shoes for indoor wear; I wear shoes all the time and like to have one pair of shoes to wear only inside the house. These shoes were comfortable right out of the box. Good toe box room. Nice smooth leather. This is my 4th pair of Ecco shoes. I feel that they are reasonably priced for the quality and comfort. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another pair for outdoor use - they would be a nice looking walking shoe for vacations, etc.

Very comfortable and easy to wear; I wear them to my casual workplace and they look great with jeans. My only complaint is a small one: the laces come untied once in a while. But, I still like them, highly recommended.

A great shoe. Best replacement for the SKY which I loved. This one may run a tiny bit longer and a tiny bit narrower than the Sky so I got one size down. The only complaint is the one I see most often from others -- the shoestrings come untied quite easily and these were a bit short so there isn't quite enough to double tie them. If ECCO could get the shoestrings right, they'd be close to perfection!

I have to wear full orthotic insoles.I took the original insoles out and mine fit perfectly. I have plenty of toe room too. Soft leather, and comfortable padding around ankles. No heel slippage. I can't respond about the true arch support because of the fact I do wear orthotics.

Super comfy and ready for long walks right out of the box! I'd been wanting to replace some old, tried & true Ecco's and first ordered the Ecco Chase Tie, thinking they looked the most similar. Ouch! Tore my heels to pieces on a very brief trial walk and had to go back. Go figure. I'm so relieved to have found the Babett Tie. Just like my perfect, old Ecco's but new again. I love Zappos!

I browsed across stores in two states in search of a travel-appropriate shoe that was both comfortable and fashionable (that was not a sneaker of any sort). After failing to find this style shoe in my size in-store, I went to Zappos to purchase them. These Ecco shoes were an excellent choice. I wore these right out of the box during a UK trip where I walked constantly every day. I purchased the 36 in black and the fit was between a women's 5.5-6. They fit perfectly after sticking a Dr. Scholl's thin flat insole underneath the insert while wearing trouser socks/no-show liners. I would definitely buy these shoes again. These shoes are also dressy enough to wear to work.

Have finally found an Ecco shoe that looked like one I had a long time ago. Put it on and very comfortable and had the 'broken in' feeling already. I hope it lasts me 2 years like the other one did.

Super comfortable sneaker shoe. These are even more comfortable than my Merrell shoes that were black leather. I like the all black as they are dressier than regular sneakers and look neater on. They are my go to shoe whenever I will be walking.

Great shoes - very comfortable, stylish and good for city walking when traveling. This is my third pair of this type of shoe from Ecco - they're well made and last a long time. I do replace the Ecco insoles with Superfeet insoles for more support.

I traveled to Italy and France for 10 days, and forgot to pack my regular sneakers. I wore these shoes for the bulk of the 10 days of my trip. They were comfortable, flexible, and dressy enough for restaurants. I have flat feet and an arthritic knee, and I never had any problems with my feet during the trip. They are also stylish enough to wear in my office. True to size.

Even though I wear a 7.5 narrow, these shoes were not too wide and I did not have to pull the laces very tight together. Since I usually find that European shoes are too wide for me, I would say these shoes probably run a bit narrow. The styling is okay -- I would say they would be great for anyone who is on their feet all day. Very supportive.

Very comfortable, light weight shoe. Doesn't have as much arch support as I prefer, but the removable footbed allowed me to use my inserts. Thank you, Zappos, for quick delivery and free returns. I've tried several shoes & returned them before finding this pair.

I didn't know if I would like the color of these shoes, however, I bought them to wear with my blue jeans and navy pants. They work perfect with both and are very comfortable.

I love these shoes, but they run narrow and do not have the arch support the Chase model has. Sorry to have to return them, I love the color too.

The best walking shoe you will ever own. I own several city walking shoes from Merrell, Mephisto, Geox and Paul Green. For the price, this one beat them all. It is my all around favorite. It looks decent enough to be worn in cities with jeans and super comfy for country walks. Mind you, it is not an orthopedic shoe, not does it have tremendous amounts of support, but I have fairly low arches and am fine in this shoe. Thinking to buy a slip on and that cute blue looks very attractive! I bought mine on the trip to Europe a couple of years ago, it held up very well in 2 years continuous use. Will last few more years.

This is a great pair of shoes and I wish they had fit! Very disappointed that ECCO sizing is not typical to standards. I ordered a 35 (4.5-5 US) and it is more consistent with a 36.

Comfortable and well-made. Bought these for a trip to Europe that will have lots of walking and museum-going. They look a bit like bowling shoes, but the leather is soft and flexible, and the inserts are removable to accommodate orthotics or gels. Not so very stylish, but that's OK.

I was uncertain what to expect with these. Back in 2007, this brand was the best, at least for my feet, but then it degraded. The leather became harder, the support less. I prefer to wear my old 2007 pairs over the ones bought around 2012-2013. This pair turned out to be pretty good despite the harder leather and reduced support, but I don't know why. Maybe some of the quality construction was returned.

I wear a size 9 US, which is halfway between 39 and 40. These in size 40 were 1/2 inch too long for me. On my feet, they looked a little like clown bowling shoes: cute in a really dorky way. Not recommended for anyone who cares about fashion.

I needed a new walking shoe and didn't have time to go to a store and try on shoes. I checked the size on my old Ecco walking shoes and looked on Zappos for something with the same cut and a size 37, and found these. I normally wear US 7 or a US 6 1/2 and it's always a problem to know which to get. The 37 is probably right in between. I like Zappos because of their exchange policies. When I got the shoes, they felt a little tight across the toes. However, I found they had the same size insole as my old Eccos which were so comfortable, and measured everywhere the same. The next day I tried them again around the house and they relaxed into shape and were just as comfortable as the old pair -- even better because the sole was not worn down. The gray color is not as "warm" as I was thinking it would be from the web photo, but it will go with everything.

These shoes are great for just wearing out and about, however some of the stitching is coming loose and I've only worn them a few times.

Great fit and able to remove liner so could use my custom made high arch ortho. However, after just a couple wears, this shoe did not look good any longer at all. Scratches show up too easily. Ordered the brown, so don't know if that made a difference. Since I'd worn these a few times & no longer have original receipt, couldn't return them. Wish I had not wasted my money on these.

ECCO has always been my "go to" brand for comfortable shoes. So when I was searching for a pair to wear on a trip to Rome where I will be walking miles each day, I selected this attractive shoe. Unfortunately, the shoes do not fit comfortably. They are too snug across the toes and do not provide adequate toe room in length, either. I wear an 8.5 and this pair feels more like an 8. (There are no half sizes with these shoes.) I am going to send them back. Too bad. I really like the look and the brand.
