This dress is a Mediterranean blue and not the navy pictured above. The top is flattering by there is a 1/2 inch elastic around the top that results in gathering. The picture above looks more tailored. The shawl like layer is very flattering and hides the mid section well. The hip area isn't totally hidden, so if you have larger hips there will be pulling across the middle of the dress. The material is thin so the part that is not covered by the shawl reveals everything. I returned because I did not think I would actually end up wearing it because it wasn't as polished as I thought it would be.

Maybe it was the heels pictured with the dress, but I bought this thinking it would be acceptable for a rehearsal dinner. It looked like I should pair it with some hoop earrings for the club. The material was thick, quality, and comfortable, but it looked much more casual and less dressy than expected.

I bought this dress in the white/navy tie dye. Looks great on. Skin tight underdress with a flowy overlay. It is a very thin, stretchy t-shirt material. It is really see-through. I had on nude underwear and you can see that. I can't stress how see through the white is. Just so ya know! --(I sent it back.)

I received this dress in a timely matter! Only to be disappointed; I love the dress it fits great, not snug, fits below my knees -- that's okay, but it is supposed to be white. It is a beige color, that is the awful part for me. I was looking for a cute white dress! Quality/material is thin, need to wear a slip or Spanx under it. Otherwise it will show everything. Unfortunately, I have to send it back! Now back to finding a cute white dress. Very disappointed! So for the color I'm giving it a 3 for that.

The body of this dress is very form fitting. If you are even the slightest bit bumpy you will for sure need a body shaper underneath. I tried the dress in med and large. The large did not seem less tight in the body. The black color is a bit more forgiving than light blue though. Meh. I didn't keep either.

I was looking for a navy blue dress to wear to an upcoming wedding that was knee length and covered my arms and stumbled upon this dress. While I thought the look was interesting, it got so many rave reviews I decided to try it. I am 5'4 130 lbs and ordered a medium. It completely swallowed me. It came down to my mid calf and looked like I was wearing a poncho! Like a few other reviews stated, the fabric was nice and it does definitely offer more coverage than the average dress. I am assuming I should have gotten a small, but there wasn't anything I liked enough about it to give the small a try.

This dress is described as color "white." The first time I ordered it I thought I was sent a cream color by accident. So I recorded again, just to get the same color again. The color is not white. It's a beige or cream color.

After reading so many positive reviews I ordered this dress in the electric blue in a Medium (I am 5'5 and 130lb with a very athletic / toned body that I don't mind showing off) I have VERY broad shoulders so I knew wearing it with both sides probably wouldn't look good, but I was surprised by how tight the elastic was around the neckline. I would never be able to wear that for longer than a few minutes, the fabric itself felt heavy but inexpensive--for the cost I may as well pay a bit more and get a better quality sleek dress like Luli Fama. Zappos has amazing customer service though.

Love the style! Sizes run small and color was not true to the picture. I expected a lavender dress but the dress I received was more of a blueish gray.

I had high hopes of liking this dress, but unfortunately it did not flatter me. I ordered a large, but it still clung too tightly on the bottom. The top seemed to overwhelm my 5'3", so perhaps it is more appealing on someone taller? I had been willing to try it based on Zappos' awesome return policy, and this item, sadly, I am returning.

I was disappointed in the material the dress was made from. It definitely is not worth the amount they are asking.

The material is soft jersey - nice. But the shoulders slide up so unless you're planning on spending your evening not moving or raising your arms, like bringing your wine glass to you lips, don't get this. Contrary to other reviews, it's not flattering from the waist down - quite the opposite showing every bulge. I tried the black and the soft blue, and while the black was more forgiving on the shape, the same problem happens with the upper dress sliding back up around your neck. Disappointed as I hoped this would be as good as some said.

This dress was supposed to be white and it is Ivory. That makes a big difference when you are shopping for an all white party. I was excited about my purchase, now I am very disappointed. I have to return it.
