Good boots--they actually sent me one that was SUPER worn and one that was new but it was too much of a hassle to send it back. The zipper being on the outside is actually more convenient, but the boots do crinkle around that ankles a lot.

A beautiful boot and fit my 15-inch calves nicely. My only issue was that the back of the boot kept rubbing my heel, to the point where I would get blisters if I didn't wear it with thick socks. And the base of the shoe wasn't wide enough for my feet. Unfortunately these have to go back because they didn't fit my feet properly and thus were quite uncomfortable.

Finally - a narrow shaft boot! I'm 5'10" so these boots hit a few inches below my knee- right where my calf circumference is 13". Most boots (and I tried many - thanks, Zappos!) are far too wide but these are great with tights, leggings, or jeans. And the soles are nice and quiet. I'd have liked a slightly less pointy toe, but that's just personal preference. But...the zipper pull is in just the right place to dig into my other knee when I cross my legs. It took me a while to figure out where those bruises were coming from! No other reviewers have complained about that, so maybe it's just me.

These boots are great for any outfit! I've worn them with jeans, a nice skirt with nylons even a dress!! They are such high quality leather & they have just the right amount of luster to them which makes them perfect to dress up or down. I love that the zipper is on the outside it makes them unique & even more appealing!

These boots are gorgeous, and felt so great on my feet. I was disappointed because they were too narrow for my feet even though I ordered a half-size larger than what I usually wear. I highly recommend these boots if they fit your feet well.

Love these boots! I wear a size 9M and my calf measures 14". They are true to size for me and are comfortable. The leather is nice. I was a little concerned about the zipper being on the outside instead of the inside, but I like them so much, it doesn't really matter to me. They are a classic riding boot style and can be worn all day comfortably. I would recommend buying these.

Love this boot but only being 5'3 it hit right in the middle of my knee cap and poked the back of my leg when I sat down in the bend of my knee. Enzo, make this boot with a 14 1/2- 15 1/2 shaft height and I'd be a happy happy girl. :) So, its going back. Thank you Zappos for free returns.

I bought these for my daughter for Christmas, she liked them very much and found them very comfortable.

I have been looking for a basic pair of black boots and finally found these and fell in love instantly! I can't stand when boots bunch around the ankles and these definitely do not do that as they stand straight and don't look baggy in that area in the least bit. Simple but sleek! So happy to find these!

Very nice boots that fit true to size. I don't like the gold zippers on the outside and so will end up returning them. I think if you are fine with zippers on the outside and in gold you will enjoy these.

I adore these boots! Love the slightly burnished look at the toe, love the comfort -- kind of cushy inside. Good walking boot, great heel.

Absolutely love these boots. Was on the hunt for a nice simple, soft leather (not shiny) black boot that could be dressy or casual, but was still comfortable. After months of searching, I am in love with these boots!

I just got these yesterday, & I love them so far! Very comfortable, true to the color in the pictures, with nice quality leather. The zippers are on the outside, which makes them look a bit more casual. The elastic in the back makes them fit very well, but they're designed well enough that this still looks nice. I have relatively thin calves, and these fit very well, a lot of boots are too wide for me. Also a nice, tall height. I'm 5'7" and they come just below my knees. Should be good with jeans, leggings, or stockings & a dress.

A beautiful and versatile pair of boots! I highly recommend for women looking for a narrower boot shaft. These boots look great with tight, leggings, and jeans.

These are great boots at an excellent price. Very comfortable and sizing is the norm however be careful not to order the one which is wider in the calf. I did not realize how wide the calf was. I had to return the wide calf boot for a regular.

Beautiful and simple pair of boots; sadly, my 5'2" height doesn't allow me to wear them as they cover half of my knee cap and dig into the back of my knee when I sit down. They're going back to Zappos.

I have skinny legs and got this pair based on the reviews. I ordered three pairs (after trying on many in various stores that were just too wide). This is not the one that I am keeping, but it was a close second. I wear a size 9.5 and that is what I ordered. The fit was fine. Plenty of room left for thicker socks, but not so roomy that I would have been forced to wear thick socks. They came up a little too high for me. I am 5'6" and they came to right under my knees. They were a nice material, good feel, sturdy, and they were not overly wide for my skinny legs.

I returned theses boots because they sagged around my ankles. I think it's because I have big feet and biggish calves.

Really pretty boots. But this pair was cut a bit funny in the right foot. I think it was a glitch because the other boot (left) was lovely! But back they go... love Zappos!

Haven't worn them yet because it has been too warm but they seem true to size and comfortable. The color is as pictured in the dark brown. The only odd thing is that the zipper is on the outside instead of the inside as with most boots.

Really wanted these to work as they had the classic riding boot style I've been looking for; but, alas, the calf circumference was too large for my puny 13" calves. Super easy exchange policy from Zappos - love it!

Nice looking and quality boot. But it sat too high on my leg -- top of boot rubbed the back of my knee. I'm not tall (5'2") so maybe these were made with taller people in mind. Unfortunately had to return them.

Too tight in the front at the ball of the foot, but overall quality is good.

I liked these plain, classic riding boots a lot, but returned them because of two issues: First, they were too high (the top cut into the bottom part of my knee). I'm 5'4" so maybe this won't be a problem for taller folks. Second, the width of the shoe was too narrow for the ball of my foot. The perfect black boot search continues!
