These slippers are excellent if you need some great arch support and a comfortable foot bed. I bought them to wear all-day in a house that has a huge amount of ceramic tile (which can kill your feet and legs). Now, no leg/foot fatigue at all! They are a little more structured than the Vienna slippers I also bought but both have excellent arch support for a slipper. I will definitely purchase another pair!

I followed the sizing on the Giesswein size chart along with the advice of other reviewers. I normally wear a 9 to 9½ (women's) and seeing comments that they ran small I ordered a size 41 - which fit perfectly. I needed slippers that I could wear outside with the dogs, but these are regular shoes. They still serve the purpose but I also wear them out on errands. Arch support is great but I have flat feet so it will take a bit to get used to it!

I love these slippers and this is my second pair. I purchased them about two years ago in Navy. They are so comfortable! I wear them year around. I have a high arch and need support! These are the only slippers that really address comfort.

Finally I found an excellent pair of shoes to wear as slippers indoors in a cold climate. These shoes are beautiful, well made, have great arch support and the width needed to accommodate bunions. These shoes are perfect. You will not regret buying them. Do pay attention to the size charts. Size 8 is really a true 39 in there slippers.

I wear these pretty much all day as I work out of my house, so they've been getting tons of use. I normally wear a 39, but I ordered a 40 and they fit perfectly. The arch support is definitely more than I expected in a slipper, but these straddle the line between slipper and shoe so it makes sense and is comfortable. I think I've just found my new slipper line for life.

Love them! A friend told me about these wonderful slippers as we both needed slippers with good support. I purchased them and my daughter who recently had surgery for a broken back liked mine and I told her about their good support so I ordered a pair for her birthday we both love them

Adorable! And comfy for wearing around the house. Good arch support - which I wasn't really used to in a slipper, but they feel great. A little snug width-wise. Great when I'm barefoot, but tight when I'm wearing socks.

Cute and even nicer in person. They are too wide and too much volume. I wanted to like them.

These are so cute, and for the price,( I think they are expensive) I had to rationalize "these will last a long time". That said, I am a size 6.5 to 7.0 US or 37 EU. But some of my biking shoes are 38. I went with the 38 and the fit was perfect. As noted they have a very nice arch support. I like the sturdy grip sole for those winter days when I need to step out on the side walk. IF you have a really high arch then you may run into some mild irritation from the top of the shoe. I strongly urge you to walk around the house with these before you say "oh how cute " and cut that little tag too soon.

I have narrow feet and this slipper fits perfectly in my regular size. Since other slippers are often too wide, I suspect this one runs narrow. The arch support is excellent. I would consider this a soft, comfortable indoor shoe.

Spread the news if you have troublesome feet. These slippers are just the ticket. Wonderful arch support. Some might have to go up one size but my pair fit perfectly. After years of making do with what was available, I feel like I have finally found the perfect slippers in Giesswein. Highly recommend them.

I ordered this shoe in a 41 (based on the reviews) but ended up buying it in a 40 (my normal size based on a US size 9). I love the shoe. While I agree with some reviews about the length the issue is that the shoe is larger overall when you go with the 41. I have very narrow feet (AAAA) and am glad I got the 40. I need good support due to a tendency to pronate and that causes knee and hip issues with me. I can already tell a difference wearing these when I stand in the kitchen etc. For me if they make that big of a difference they are worth the price.

I love my new slippers. It took a few days to break them in, but now they are comfortable and cozy and molding nicely to my narrow, size 7 1/2 foot. I have them in the gray with the red flower. Very beautifully made...a good purchase and the sole can go outside, which is perfect when you have a dog, or need to get the mail etc.

These are so comfortable and have molded to my foot, similar to a Birkie. I live in the the Bay Area, s.f., and these keep my toes warm and cozy even in August!,,

These Giesswein slippers are amazingly comfortable. The arch support is excellent, and there is plenty of room in the toe area. My heel is narrow and it is not slipping around - the slippers fit very securely. I normally take a size 8 1/2 to 9. Based on what other reviewers stated, I ordered a European size 41 (American size 10) and it was perfect. They must run small. I would highly recommend these.

These are gorgeous and I so wanted them to work. They have excellent arch support and are sturdy enough to wear outside (and drive in, probably). The pictures don't do justice to the beautiful grey color or the flower. But if your second toe is longer than your first, forget about it. There is a slight curve to the top of the slipper than makes them impossible to fit comfortably. So, back they go. For what it's worth, as far as fit goes, I am a 9 in Camper Wabi and undecided between 39 and 40 in the softer Giesswein slippers with appliques. The 39 in these was too small regardless and it was only the toe-poke issue that made the 40s a "no."

This is the second time I have bought these same slippers...I love them that much. With a very young puppy in the house my first pair lasted much longer than I expected. When it was time for a new pair I didn't even shop around, just got these. Great support and comfort. Don't stretch out too much, I get a half larger than my true shoe size.

This is my first time to purchase Glessweins and I just about choked on the price, BUT they are worth it! I've had foot surgery on both feet and still have some recovering to do with one. I needed a stiff sole to accommodate healing. As it turns out, my healed foot is very happy, too! I would definitely recommend buying a size up. The first couple of times I wore mine I worried that even a size up was too small, but the back gives slightly and now they are perfect. The bonus to the comfort-- they are so stinkin cute!

I usually get the Vienna and other than the yarn wearing off the back, I loved the style. These will have to take their place because the Vienna is not available. These are cute, and I love the stable bottom. I have a high instep and these slippers are a bit too tight over my instep. I'm planning on keep them, thinking they will stretch in time. I'm not fond of the hump where your toes go and it reminds me of the Hummel shoes in the pictures. Truly a German look...and I am German.

Followed previous reviews of ordering a size up and good thing I did because they just barely fit. Love the comfort with it's great arch support and comfy wool top. I have plantar fasciitis so I need to wear supportive shoes inside and out. These help a lot while I'm cooking in the kitchen and need hours of support. Not really my style (everything black) but for anyone else the flower detail is very cute.

This is the only slipper with substantial arch support, a must if you are battling Planter Faciatias!

Definitely go up two sizes. I'm an 8.5 so went with a 40 after reading reviews of this brand. Sadly, they were too short. I returned them an ordered the plain version (they were out of 40 when I first ordered). I kind of wish I'd gotten the 41 in this style instead, they are cute! I have really flat feet so the arches on these feel high right now, but since they are the cork composite they will mold. I'm excited to have great support in a slipper, my feet and back hurt so much after standing for a couple of hours to cook, etc.

Normally I'm a size 8 (39 euro), so I sized up to a 9 (40) and I was still couldn't really get my foot in properly. In fact, my thin/medium-weight sock kept bunching up in my arch, something that never happens with these socks. So all I can say, ladies, is get yourself 1 or 2 sizes larger than you think you'll need.
