I put on the right then the left boot and felt the comfort and stability in these boots. They are very comfortable and warm yet very stylish. I will order the black ones as well. Oh my size was perfect with enough room to wear thick or thin socks.

I don't usually write reviews but these boots are awesome! I have a difficult time finding comfortable shoes & boots b/c of bunions. I bought these in 9W & I can wear them for hours. Not only are they comfortable and warm but they are stylish too! I have received many compliments. They are worth the money.

I was looking for a pair of snow boots that did not look as clunky as snow boots normally look and weren't as heave as snow boots normally feel. Hopefully a pair that was a little more streamlined so they would look cute with jeans or leggings but still waterproof and warm. This pair seemed to fit the bill so I decided to give them a try. Based upon the reviews I ordered my true to size 9 and a size up 9½ to see which worked better. The 9½ was definitely a better fit. I wore them for an hour today while sitting in my car (turned off so no heat) in 24° weather wearing thinner cotton socks. My feet got cool but they were not freezing. I have now been wearing them with mid-weight SmartWool socks and they feel warmer but perhaps not quite as warm as I would ideally like (I tend to have cold feet). The construction and materials feel high quality. I do think they fit the bill in terms of not being clunky or heavy and like how they look with jeans and leggings. In an ideal world I would like the shaft to be about 1" higher but I have long legs to begin with. These will not be my boots to go shovel a foot of snow from the driveway but will be my boots to go out for a casual dinner or running errands when the sidewalks and parking lots are snowy or slushy. I cannot yet speak to how waterproof they are but for the price they better be fully waterproof. All in all I am happy with this purchase.

These boots look amazing and stylish when I pulled them out of the box! Unfortunately, I need to return them. Had surgery 2 years ago, and foot didn't return to normal size (6.5 to 7D). Need a wider size 7 EE, which these do not come in.

I bought these to wear in a Cleveland winter and so far I am in love. They are so comfortable and warm. I also like that they are waterproof which will help keep my feet dry. My only qualm is that they are a bit stiff so driving in them is not the easiest of tasks but it can be done.

I was pleasantly surprised when these boots arrived in the mail. They are lightweight but very warm, comfortable and a bit dressier than your average snow boot. I can't wait to try them out in february when it's REALLY frigid. But so far, I'm very happy with them!

I read numerous reviews by others before ordering, which stated that these boots were narrow and one should order a whole size up. As a previous owner of other Timberland shoes, I knew from experience that their footwear does tend to stretch quite a bit with wear. So I took the chance and ordered my regular size. I put them on the first day and wore them for about 3 hours and oh, how my feet ached from being squeezed together. But that was it. Since then, they have been fine. Wear them everywhere now, my feet stay warm, dry, and comfortable. They look great with jeans ( I do tuck under my Jeans but they look good out also.) Love my boots. You will also. You just need to decide whether to order your regular size or order up.

bought these boots for a study-abroad trip to Europe in the dead of winter. I needed something that would be comfortable enough to not aggravate the tendinitis in my knees, durable (able to stand up to below freezing temperatures, long treks in snow and water, etc), not weigh a ton, and be fashionable enough to wear around town without feeling tacky. When the boots arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at how cute they were. They were a bit snug, but after I wore them around the house for a while, they stretched out enough to fit perfectly. Once I got to Europe, these boots were really put to the test. I found that even though water never leaked in, my feet got cold. Wearing thicker socks helped, but my feet still got cold after extended amounts of time walking in ice/snow. They held up surprisingly well after months of hard wear. The only damage I noticed was a few small tears/frays on the laces and some scratches on the leather. I also got several compliments on them! Overall, these boots were a good purchase and well worth the money, I highly recommend them!

This is great boot, to be sure, but it didn't look quite as adorable in real life. (Great job, Zappos shoe photographers!) A bit more sensible or something. Not quite enough "kick". Also, I was looking for cognac-colored boots, and these are actually more of a rich tan. Also a pretty color, but not what I was looking for. Timberland's stuff is consistently excellent quality, so while this was not the boot for me, I'll still give it 5 stars. As the saying goes, "It's not you, it's me." On a fit note, when I buy Timberland boots (I hover between a 9 and a 9 1/2), I always go for the 9 1/2.

After living in a warm climate for 15 years, we moved to a cold one this winter and I was clueless about boots. I bought these because I thought they looked better than most of the others and I'm so glad I did. I have to do a lot of walking and I was surprised at how comfortable they are. The temps haven't gotten extremely cold yet, nor have we gotten much snow so I can't say how they hold up in extreme weather situations. But for the situations I've worn them in, I've been really pleased with how warm they are. I've also received a lot of compliments on how they look.

If you have to park your car outside in that crazy polar vortex of 2013-2014, I completely recommend these boots. I ordered them in an off-white, but they were more of a light tan. I don't care about that though. Definitely order a half size up. Even though I have wide calves, going up a half size helped. Since they are lace up boots, you can adjust how tight you want them on. My feet stayed cozy and dry. I didn't even need to come back in to change my socks! Last year I was able to wear two socks and still feel comfortable.

Searched high and low last winter for these boots. No one had anymore in my size. Thank God for Zappos. The email when in stock feature is great. I received the email in July, but now I won't have to worry this winter. They run true to size and for me are perfect. We'll see how they wear when winter is here.

I love these boots, they look exactly as pictured. I typically wear a 9.5 and ordered these in a 10 and they fit great. They are a little bit heavy but super comfortable and warm.

I've been wearing these boots for a week now and have done a lot of walking in them. I bought them for a trip to Europe (I have them in brown color) and they have kept my feet warm and dry in the cold damp weather. My feet haven't hurt at all and I'm very pleased with my purchase. Note: I bought a size 10 wide. I never wear wide width but it was the last size available so I took the chance after hearing that they run narrow. They're a perfect fit.

Wore them on a cold night, was outside for Halloween Trick-or-Treating with my kid, and my feet got so cold. It was probably down to the 20's F and I walked around for 2-3 hours. So, good for short bursts of cold, but not for walking around in it for very long. Otherwise, pretty comfortable and super cute!

I absolutely love this boot! I just bought my third pair. They are so comfortable and warm. I wear them all year around the yard and out tending my animals. The only thing I have to complain about is they do wear out after about 2 years. Both my past pairs have had the upper come unglued from the sole, but even then I do not get wet feet from walking in the snow. Truly amazing!

I bought this for Illinois's freezing winter and snow. It's a good one to keep warm. But the soles are a little hard. If you wear it for a whole day, feet will feel a little uncomfortable. Plus, when you are walking on the ice, this shoe won't help a lot.

First, take this into account. I have a damaged nerve on the ball of my foot. Exciting! Ergo, I'm on the hunt for the perfect comfortable, casual, warm, stylish, waterproof boot to wear all winter, but especially during my Christmas trip to the UK.
These did not make the cut. But they may be perfect for you. There wasn't enough room in the toe area, and the capped toe cuts across my foot in a bad place.
Even for gals with normal feet, these seem like they need a lot of breaking in. Maybe go a 1/2 size larger. For me, these need to go back. :-(

I really like the fit and comfort of the boot, but the metal ring around the lace whole came apart about after two months. I thought I was going to get a replacement but I guess they didn't have it. I would have given it a 5.

I'm torn about this boot. I've had other Timberland boots for years, so when I wanted a nice winter boot, i figured these would last me a long time.
The good: I love how warm and dry it keeps my feet. I can't wear the boot if it's over 40 degrees outside because my feet simply get too warm, which is great for the lower temperatures. The fur lining inside the boot was comfortable and makes it unnecessary for heavy thick socks (which I hate). The leather feels nice and holds up to the salt and snow that I've tromped through already.
The bad: The D-rings that support the laces are a weak point in the boot. I had mine break 1 year and 1 month after purchase, meaning just outside the year warranty. If you look at Amazon reviews for the product, I'm not the only one that that happened to. For now, I've simply skipped that lacing spot, but it's the highest D-Ring spot, and I had to go into the embedded grommet at the top, reducing the comfort level I loved with the boots.
I'm still giving the boot 3 stars because they are warm and comfy, but I might just have to replace them with a different brand next winter because of the lace issue. I'm worried that some of the other D-rings are going to break off in the remaining winter months.

I brought these boots in October 2015 and wore them for almost a month and half now. I take long walks occasionally but was surprised to find them start to get wet from the inside in the begininning of Feb (too soon to wear out!!!). the left boot started to slightly seep in water from the front where it meets the sole.

Bought these last year. Absolutely loved them. I'm out in the cold (very often below freezing all winter). They kept my feet warm, gave good traction and looked cute as well. Unfortunately they separated where they meet the sole. I'm going to buy another pair and hope they last longer than 1 season. Maybe my first pair just had a defect? I live in Buffalo, so lots of snow and salt. Maybe one season is all I can expect.

I ordered these thinking that they would be the most wonderful winter boot. I have a pair of 6" Timberlands, and they fit great. I have wide feet, but these boots were tight across my foot. They were not a true wide. The lining is super soft and wonderful, and is warm. The biggest problem with these boots is how they would pinch my ankle when I would walk. The rigid footbed would cut into my ankle bone, with the soft leather upper being too soft in my opinion. It was a sad occasion when I had to return them, but I hope that Timberland keeps improving on their insulated winter boots in the future. There's real potential for greatness!

I searched high and low for these boots for our upcoming trip to Iceland. I was excited when they finally got my size in stock. However, I'm disappointed the outside of the left boot is extremely scuffed. It's obvious it was a return from a previous buyer. I'd be exchanging the shoes if I could, but they're unavailable both here and everywhere else in my size. It sucks I had to pay so much for a brand new boot only to receive something that obviously wasn't brand new.
