Wanted the brown one but the size (7.5 Wide) was only available in grey. Color is OK, the pic shows somewhat brownish, but its actually little on the blackish/ dirty-grey side. A little concerned with the fleece/wool ruffles on the mouth. Since they're being used in snowy/wet weather, things can get dirty pretty soon in NY. Overall, keeps your feet warm: does what it says. Fit is good. Looks better than I thought it would. Wish they had the brown one though.

I got to test these out today in snow up to my ankles today. My feet stayed warm, comfortable and dry. My second pair (different style) of Tims and I looooovvvvvvve them. Thank you Timberland. ð???

I purchased this boot in 8W in dark grey. This is my normal size, however in this particular boot I found I needed a half size up. I feel the dark grey color is more brown than grey. The boot is well made and seems sturdy. The insole is indeed removable and allows you to add your own orthotic. The boot is well insulated and I anticipate it keeping my feet warm enough in my moderate winter climate. As always, Zappos customer service is excellent.

I'd long ago given up on being able to wear Timberland boots - they were way way waaaay too narrow for my wide feet w/ a bunion. But I saw these came in a W so I figured I'd give it a try. It's Zappo's after all and I can return them if they don't work out. I typically wear a 7-7.5W or 6.5-7WW I ordered the 7W in these to see how they would fit. I tried them on with thicker socks since these are for winter and the width is ok, not great but I know the leather will stretch. The toe box, however, is a little bit tight with thicker socks. Normal socks, it's ok. I'm debating on if I should return these for the 7.5W. The are very cute for winter boots and the lace up style is great if you have wider calves.

Great boot! Held up very well in 2+ ft of snow. Keeps my feet warm and toasty, and easy to get on and off. W size seems to run a bit narrow, but otherwise comfortable and would recommend.

Love this style! However, the wide doesn't even begin to encompass my wide feet. These are headed back.

Ordered the boot in a size 10, but it was rather snug. Not enough room for my tootsie and a pair of socks. Returning and hoping that the next size is a winner. Other than that, it feels mega warm and looks winter stylish!

I absolutely love these shoes, I was so sad they are last year's model and no place had them in my size. They run very narrow so I was hoping that a size up would work, but it did not. I am very sad.

Definitely a narrow fit, and the length is only just long enough...it actually feels half a size smaller than a regular length. That said, they are incredibly comfortable, great height, soft on the inside, warm and easy to lace up. The boot itself was a lot lighter in weight than I was expecting, too - so for someone traveling overseas with these, that is definitely a bonus! My only other tip would be to buy them early if you're traveling and get used to wearing them before you get to your winter destination. Overall, very happy - but wish I could have bought the wider pair...I bought the black in Size 11 (US).

This seemed like a well-constructed boot out of the box, but it is just way way too narrow. I ordered a 1/2 size up but when I tried them on with medium weight smart wool socks, my toes and the top of my forefoot were cramped in, and my arch started to hurt after about a 1/2 hour of standing and walking around the house. There was no way these were going to be comfortable or keep my feet warm with that tightness. I've never had to order wide widths before, and unfortunately, this one is sold out in wide widths (wonder why!), so I can't try it now. Maybe a good option for those with narrow feet, but sadly, my winter 2014 boot quest continues. I accidentally hit 4 stars overall, and Zappos wouldn't let me adjust it. Definitely not better than a 2 overall with that fit.

Love these boots!! I usually take a 7 in majority of the shoes or boots I purchase and currently own several pairs of traditional timberland boots (that are a size 7) but these felt VERY small. Sadly the next half size and full size up was not available at the time I wanted to exchange. I will definitely be keeping an eye out if sizes are restocked.

Nice looking boot, looks good with skinny jeans. Moderately warm & comfortable as long as you order it in a wide width. Ordered it in the medium width, but exchanged it for the wide as it is actually quite narrow across the wide part of the foot. I like the flexible cushioned sole and traction it provides on snowy surfaces.

These boots are really good looking. I bought them in black. The toes are tight, but for me, the ankles are just verging on loose, so I'm not sure if wider or longer would work. I'm wearing them around the house hoping the toes will stretch because they are really the best looking snow boots. Also warm. You could possibly even wear them with a skirt and definitely skinny jeans. They will be be extremely useful if they fit correctly.

These are beautiful boots, with soft leather and high quality workmanship. I wish they had worked for me, but they were way too narrow and small. Also I do not think they would be warm at all, they lacked insulation. Thank you, Zappos, for your excellent return policy. I will order something that will work better.
