These boots are cute, but remind me of my snowboots from the 90's with the narrow toe and puffy sides. They might be somewhat warm, but not warm enough for Alaska. The length feels fine but the width is narrow and instep is really low, cutting off circulation in my foot. The tongue gusset is low allowing water and snow to creep in the front, so stepping in any snow drifts would be unadvisable. They are cute, but not warm or waterproof enough.

These boots got me through Boston's record-breaking winter last year, and I have no doubt that they will do the job this winter, too - whether we get another 9 feet of snow or not. The height and warm lining make them perfect for trudging through snow banks, and the sole has the traction needed for walking over icy surfaces. The boots are also water resistant so if you end up ankle deep in water after misjudging the depth of a puddle, your feet will stay dry. I am an 8½ and found them to be true to size. They are more structured than what I am used to wearing, but I found that a plus since that helps stabilize your ankles over tricky surfaces. The cushion and arch support are adequate (I find the only shoes with significant support are athletic shoes anyway, so these boots are fine for what they are). Aesthetically speaking, these were some of the better looking winter boots that I saw. For me, winter boots are not historically appealing, but I actually really like these. I definitely recommend them!

I love these boots! Okay, they're not exactly gorgeous but for snow boots they're pretty attractive. In my opinion they're less clunky looking than many of the other options. More importantly, on me at least they were comfortable. I ordered the size I wear in a sneaker in the regular width, not my normal dress shoe size, which I think is important to note. One of the things I really like about these shoes, aside from that they're just quite comfortable, is that they have removable inserts so you can put in orthotics or your own Dr Scholls or whatever you like to make them more comfortable. But the ones that they come with are really soft. Usually I add in some Spenco running shoe inserts to such boots & sneakers, but with the inserts these came with I didn't need to! Also these have great arch support. Look forward to wearing them in the next storm!

A fabulous boot! Faced back to back snow storms here in Boston -- these boots are great in the snow, the slush, the mess! Comfy from the moment I tried them on. I ordered a size 8, my normal size, and they fit perfectly! If you're planning on wearing with thicker socks, go up a 1/2 size. You won't need them, though, because the boots are deliciously warm with just regular socks. Fat laces and light 'fur' look adorable, color is a gorgeous russet brown that goes with everything. Didn't bother to change into my regular shoes when I got to work -- these looked too cute with leggings and a chunky sweater -- comfy all day and don't look/feel clunky.

Love these boots! They hav kept my feet warm in a Vermont winter! They’re light and very stylish. They fit small though. I’m usually a size 6 to 6.5. I bought a 7 and am able fit my orthotics in and wear warm socks. Love these boots!

I have poor circulation in my feet. I am in college, so walking around in the winter weather, is unfortunately a part of my daily routine and my toes freeze! For the first time, I was walking in the snow and around campus and my feet did not get cold! I LOVE THESE!

I was loving these boots. I had many compliments on them. A week after I got them I pulled the strings to tighten (not too hard) and the loop that is sewn into the boot popped out. Such expensive boots and they broke in a week. This is the first time that I have ever had to return shoes.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I walk A LOT. I wore these boots every day for 4 months, and they are fantastic. They have great support, and they keep your feet very warm in VERY cold conditions (below zero). I will order another pair so I don't need to wear other boots for a long time.

This is my second pair of mount hope mid boots. I purchased the black ones last year. I love everything about this boot. If it came in more colors I would buy them all!

These boots are so comfortable inside and they were roomier than I expected. When I went to the outlet they did not have this boot in stock so I tried another boot, that had the same type of lining to gauge the size I would need, I ordered my boots online. When my boots arrived I tried them on and they were bigger than I expected. I'm thinking if I wear wool socks or 2 pair of socks I should be fine.

Great Boot for the cold winter weather and snow. Before buying this boot, I had the same model boot in an older version that I had for years and it held up beautifully. I wanted something different this winter, but couldn't find a great reasonably priced winter boot. I decided to buy from Timberland again, and I am happy with my purchase. I plan on keeping these boots for years to come. They are comfortable and feel stable. I highly recommend this Boot!

I was travelling to the east coast to visit family with the intention to live there part time in the future, so I wanted a very warm boot. I ordered several from different companies, but all except the Timberland were clunky and bulky. This boot is sleek, pretty, yet extremely waterproof and so warm and cozy. My feet were never cold. I wear a 10 and my left foot is larger, so many shoes don't fit. These are roomy enough for a pair of socks. Just love them; they were just what I needed and I look forward to wearing them again this visit.

Just purchased these boots and they made an excellent first impression. The quality is noticeable right away and they are really cute boots. I found them very easy to put on and lace up, as well as being very comfortable walking in for the day. It hasn't been that cold yet and I haven't worn them through snow, so I can't of their winter weather durability yet, but they are cozy and seem like they will hold up to harsher weather. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I've been looking for a well made winter boot. I ordered a different style of Timberland boots last year, size 9.5, and found them to be a half size too big and a little heavy and clunky, but are excellent in cold weather. This year I wanted a warm, comfortable boot with good traction, particularly for walking the dog in winter and running general everyday errands. I haven't worn these boots much yet but am very happy with the fit and feel. I ordered size 9 this time, and these are the perfect fit. They are equally comfy with laces loose for easy on and off or with laces tightened up. So glad I found these Timberland boots. Well worth the money if you are looking for comfort, insulation, traction, just overall functionality. I was tired of settling for cheaper boots designed strictly for style. I have been wearing these around the house to break them in, right now I feel they are too stiff to comfortably drive in them, but I can't call that a negative as it is to be expected and will get worked out shortly. They are also pretty light in weight, which is exactly what I wanted also. Hope they prove to be durable in the long run. They are pretty cute, too, and I actually think they look more feminine in person than they do in the photos.

They came right before the first snow storm of the season. I also bought the wax for boots and it keeps them protected
